The earth was so wicked that, without apology, God could have judged it on the spot (Gen. 6:5). But in His grace and patience, He delayed judgment for over a century, while Noah built the ark (see 1 Pet. 3:20).

  2. Noah’s Ark a Symbol of Hope

Dr.GP’S Analogy of Noah’s Faith and so on was Good and building the Boat was an Act of Obedience and Faith (Faith is Action). It is doing whatever you Believe to be True and Noah Preserved what he built by Sealing it and Preserving it with Pitch from what was to come.

Freedom has always thought of Hope as a Preserving Power and you have made laid it out so Beautifully before me this day. It is Hope that gives us the Will to Continue, it is Hope that Engenders us to Act in Faith again, it Sustains and Preserves during times of Adversity, Symbolical of the Flood.

It is Noteworthy that not all of Noah’s Children were Saved, yet he entered the Ark without them. Noah, his Wife, his three Sons, their Wives and the Animals followed Noah into the Ark. The Creation was Also Preserved and even after the Danger had passed (the rain stopped falling) it took some time for them to Venture out and to Test the Waters as it were and even further testing before they came to rest. This may Signify that we take Testing Steps, Small Steps, Cautionary Steps after the Danger has passed.

The Atonement and His Grace are the Over Arcing Principles by which we are Saved and by Practicing Faith and Hope we bring to pass the Goal of the Over Arcing Principles, which Dr.Gp has pointed out as the Atonement and Grace leading to Salvation.
In addition, the many Examples of Symbolism that GP pointed out IS WORTHY OF REFLECTION.

    GROW WITH THE WORD
    Mon, 07/13/2020 – 6:00am
Reverend Carmichael Springer, Pastor of the Chalky Mount Wesleyan Holiness Church, has urged Christians to focus on the bible and grow, as it is expected by God.

Speaking during the virtual Sunday morning service of the church yesterday, Rev Springer explained that the Holy Spirit dwelled in every believer and brought joy into the life of a Christian. He contended that because of that fact, there should be happiness and rejoicing in the Lord.

“Encourage to rejoice always in the Lord, in His love, righteousness, intercession, providence, grace and that your name is written in heaven,” said Springer.

However, referencing 2 Peter 3:18, the pastor pointed out that more was expected of believers than just rejoicing. Consistent growth by reading the bible was an important step in the life of a believer.

“Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. So God has provided his word as our spiritual nourishment,” said Springer.

Expanding by quoting 1 Peter 2:2 where the Bible states that, “As new-born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby.” Springer contended that God provided the scriptures that believers would grow.

“Just as the baby desires milk, we as Christians should have that same hunger for and thirst for the word of God. So that we may grow in grace, love, knowledge, patience, humility and faith,” explained Springer.

The pastor asked those listening to pay attention to the word sincere in the scripture and explained that it meant pure and true. He also said that the word was necessary for believers to grow as it was what sustained and guided each person.

“This is what determines what we believe and how we behave. This is what will determine our actions, this is what will determine our behaviour. The word will determine how we treat each other, how we dress, our work ethics, how we eat and how we drink,” said Pastor Springer.

The reverend explained that believers should not be guided by tradition, the thoughts or opinions of others but on the Bible. Springer highlighted that the scripture described the word as being sweeter than honey and as such it was exactly what was needed during hard or troubling times.

“When we are fearful, go to the word. When we are lonely, when we are depressed, there is something in the word for us. When we are disappointed or we receive bad news there is something in the word to cheer us up,” encouraged Springer. (AS)

  5. So if Noah’s Boat has been located where the Bible said it came to rest, the Bible must be true.

  6. There must have been a flood and it must have done exactly as the Bible said it did.

Here are scientists who say what they see in their areas of science is explicable by such a flood.

  7. The scientists accept they are being taught and quote Job 12.

7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:

8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.

9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?

  8. Job 12
    King James Version
12 And Job answered and said,

2 No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.

3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?

4 I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.

5 He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.

6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.

10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

11 Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?

12 With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.

13 With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.

14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.

15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.

16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.

17 He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.

18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.

19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.

20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.

21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.

22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.

23 He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.

24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.

25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.

  9. Here is an interesting theory

The dinosaurs were victims of the flood!!

Don’t laugh till you have watched this!!

  10. This is good too

  11. JOHN
How is it that the BU BRIMBLERS AND SEMI-ILLITERATES ARE NOT KNOCKING YOU WITH RESPECT TO THE POSTS ABOVE?

  12. I can’t imagine why!!!!!

    The silence is deafening.

  13. @ John July 22, 2020 4:29 PM

Who would want to respond, avidly, to a ‘Johnny’ that believes an animal named taxonomically by Adam 4 billion years ago as ‘Dinosaur’ lived alongside Noah more than 64 million years ago when your desert god Yahweh himself neither existed nor decided to ‘create’ mammals including Eve?

How in the world of tarnation of global travel were the bones of those drowned dinosaurs transported from Göbekli Tepe to be embedded for 64 million solar years in the rocks of Wyoming on a continent called Pangaea.

Were those dinosaur bones taken to the ‘Americas’ by a spacecraft called the ‘Spirit of your Lord’ captained by Noah with the great apes of Africa acting as his crew?

Come on John(ny), the red blooded coot, all the people who read BU are not some set of silly piccaninnies listening to your story book tales told by the GP Uncle Remus in your Sunday school classes.

Check the radio carbon isotope dating clip!!

You will see you have been misled with the millions!!

  15. Here is conventional wisdom on the extinction of the dinosaurs.

  16. Which story is more believable?

  17. 7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:

8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.

9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?

  18. Next time you are in Kentucky, stop by!!

  19. Maybe Barbados could build an Ark too and attract some tourists.

  20. Noah’s Ark is doing pretty well.

In 2017 it had revenues of $50 million.

In fact it has done so well that a school board has applied to the court to make it pay more taxes.

“In its lawsuit, the school board cited several assessment figures, including an estimate by the Ark Encounter’s accounting firm to Kentucky tourism officials that the park’s development costs were $72 million. Another estimate presented by the Ark’s attorney in 2017 said $90 million. The school board also argued that the Ark Encounter generated about $50 million in revenue in 2017, and “such an income would result in a fair market value of the property of $130,000,000 or more.”

However Ark Encounter has argued that the school board has no standing.

    The school board lost.

  21. Envy!!!

A perfect example of the left’s attempts to remove the Bible from people’s lives.

  22. Let’s see the scientific proof behind the 64 million year old dinosaurs!!

  23. Here is some science in support of a young earth.

  24. So Noah’s Ark seems to exist where the Bible says it should.

… and then there is this analysis by Chuck Missler showing coincidence cannot be at play in the origins of the Bible.
