If Mother’s Day is a Yahweh-inspired and Church-determined day of recognition and observance of the importance of mothers how come it was celebrated in the UK on 22nd March this year instead of the second Sunday in May as is today?
Are the mothers who are being celebrated in La Festa della Mamma the same women folk your misogynist Paul banned from speaking in the church?
Maybe both Mother’ Day and Easter should be treated just like Xmas; with a fixed date to avoid all the confusion among you conflicted churchgoers just looking for any plagiarized pagan festival to celebrate your lustful materialistic habits.

If the real Christian celebration is to get the children of Yahweh to visit their mother church, say the big cathedrals, what would you call that which is celebrated in the Land of the great Satan by the modern Romans?
Honouring the goddess of materialism and commercialism?
How about doing homage to Rhea and Cybele?
Mother’s Day has nothing at all to do with your brand of theology; unless you see Mary as the Mother of your God. And if so, the 15th of August ought to be a more appropriate day to celebrate her ascendancy to that status.
Poor Anna Jarvis, she is probably rolling in her grave to see how the beneficiaries of the suffragette movement have turned a pagan day of reflection and appreciation into a fest of downright feasting.
Thank Covid Mary for the opportunity to force Bajans to reflect on the true meaning of Mother’s Day by way of quiet celebration in their homes and recognition of the role of the bearer of the cup of experience and wisdom in the cycle called human life.
