For  our  meditation  today, we give a short meditation from Luke 24 that point out the three openings that Jesus achieved among some of his followers on the first “Easter” Sunday.

  1. God made man and then made the wombman woman

does that mean woman is an improved version of man with the infinite divine power of creation and power of intuition

Was Jesus crucified because He was the Son of God or because He said He was?

As far as Jews were (still are?) concerned He was Joseph’s son and could not be the Son of God.

They considered Him to be a blasphemer and to be executed.

It is only Christians who subsequent to His Crucifixion believe He is the Son of God.

    Who was the first Christian?

Perhaps the Gospel of Matthew is directed at Jews and sharing the Good News with them?

It is perhaps framed in a way that the Jew would understand.

Mark seems to be more of a story directed at the those with no grasp of Judaism, Gentiles.

The reader and reciter I showed are literally telling a story to persons who might be hearing it for the first time.

You obviously believe He is the Son of God which is great.

“You obviously believe He is the Son of God which is great.”
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

He is no more the ‘son of god’ than Horus was the son of Osiris or Apollo was the son of Zeus or those other sons of Yahweh mentioned in your Jewish book of myths as recorded in Genesis Chapter 6.

But you are entirely correct when you postulate that the storybook of Matthew was directed at Jews.

Not only Matthew and the other pagan Roman inspired tales but the entire Jewish book of mythology called the Talmud.

Now why would the Hindus or Chinese want to replace their own long-established mythologies with something plagiarized from other mythologies (like the Sumerian and Egyptian) and concocted by the Jews but whitewashed by Europeans to meet their own cultural and commercial agendas?

Why didn’t the European spread the gospel(s) to the enslaved Africans who were barred from entering any Christian church unless they were sent there to do the cleaning?

    Please, no lying Quaker BS!

  4. Why didn’t the European spread the gospel(s) to the enslaved Africans who were barred from entering any Christian church unless they were sent there to do the cleaning?

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Gospel was made indeed made available.

In fact there was a 1676 law prohibiting Quakers from having slaves/negroes at their meetings.

Several Quakers were prosecuted for disobeying the law.

If you look at the parochial registers you will find there were a few free negroes and mulattoes who were married and baptized in the Anglican church in the 17th century.

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.

I believe the majority of the slaves resisted Christianity but there were exceptions.

It took generations for wholesale acceptance to occur.

There was also of course the issue of not being able to read.

You take it for granted that everybody can read Matthew or Mark or Luke or John but that is a learned skill which few if any slaves possessed in Quaker days.

  5. RE a similar claim could be made out for any of the descendants of Ishmael (Abraham’s firstborn) to sit at the right hand of Yahweh.

ACCORDING TO GALATIANS 3:16 a similar claim could NOT be made out for any of the descendants of Ishmael (Abraham’s firstborn) to sit at the right hand of Yahweh.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

WHAT DOES THIS VERSE CLEARLY SAY? to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. NOT TO SEEDS
AGAIN IT SAYS NOT TO SEEDS as of many; but as of one,

IN NONE OF THE TWO GENEALOGIES OF JESUS IS ANY OF THE “OUTSIDE” CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM MENTIONED

THE PROMISE OF THE :SEED “MAY BE TRACED FROM GENESIS 3:15 RIGHT THROUGH TO GALATIANS 3:16

RE Now cuss muy now! Go ahead and call me the bible illiterate with the first class honours in the ‘black’ art of devil worship and who has a pew all for himself reserved in hell.
THIS IS NOT NECESSARY. YOU HAVE CLEARLY SATISFACTORILY SELF IDENTIFIED

SOME QUESTIONS AND NOTES ABOUT CHRIST–THE SEED

What is the first Prophecy in the Bible? Who pronounced it? What is it about?

The first Prophecy was given by JEHOVAH-GOD, when He announced the first promise of the virgin birth concerning the Seed, the Babe of Bethlehem. Here the miracle of divine incarnation is declared, and also a prophecy of the coming anti-Christ, the seed of the serpent.

What has been Satan’s effort through the ages?

Satan’s effort through the ages has been to defeat God’s will concerning redemption through this Seed.

3.To whose seed is the promise of victory given.
The promise of victory is to the “Seed of the woman,” not to the seed of man.

4.How did Satan try to defeat the promise of God concerning the promise of the seed?
Satan tried to defeat the promise of God by trying to destroy the Seed, WHO IS CHRIST AS TAUGHT IN GALATIANS 3:16.

5.Who is the “old serpent?” What is the Hebrew word for serpent ? What does it mean?

The “old serpent,” Satan, who tempted the first Adam, was the same Satan who tempted the last Adam, Christ. “Serpent” (Hebrew, Nachash) means “shining one.”

6.To whom do the phrases “Thou shalt bruise his heel” and “He shall bruise thy head” refer?

“Thou shalt bruise his heel” refers typically to the sufferings of Christ. “He shall bruise thy head” refers to the final crushing of Satan’s purposes, plans, and policies, rather than to the literal crushing of skull and brains.

    7.What is God’s method?

God’s method is separation from sin.

8.Who is the seed of the serpent?

The seed of the serpent includes every follower of the devil, who in pride and unbelief is exemplified in the person of Cain

    .
9.How did God show grace to the woman, Eve?

God showed grace and mercy to the woman, Eve by causing the woman to be the human agent in bringing the Redeemer into the world.

10.In which prophecy is the germ of all prophecy relating to the two advents of Christ expressed? Explain.

The germ of all prophecy relating to the two advents of Christ is expressed in Genesis 3:15ff in the prophecy of the Seed. In the “bruising of the heel” we have the first coming, Christ’s rejection and suffering. In the “bruising of the serpent’s head” we have the coming of Christ in power and glory, and finally the destruction of Satan in the “lake of fire.”

11.Write an essay to trace how Satan tried to thwart God’s purpose through “the SEED of the woman. Show how God prevented Satan’s plans at every turn.

Satan’s initial attack on the Seed can be seen in the slaying of Abel; “But God” provided Seth, a third son of Adam. The posterity of Seth began with the “generation of Adam.” Seth became the substitute for the promised Seed.

Satan tried to destroy the Seed in the corruption of Seth’s posterity. His purpose was evidently to mingle
Cain’s wicked progeny among Jehovah’s people, doubtless the seed of Seth. Satan’s method was
amalgamation with sinners. This vicious attack, if successful, would have meant there would be NO
DIFFERENCE between the Seed of God and the Seed of the devil. By doing this Satan knew that God
would have to destroy man from the face of the earth, since this was the punishment God had
pronounced on sin in the garden. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Through Noah, Shem, and Abraham was the pure Seed of Eve preserved. Several hundred years after the days of Noah, God promised that the Seed was to continue through Abraham. Working overtime to block God’s plan, Satan’s forces are found occupying Canaan in advance of Abraham. There they await their opportunity to destroy the Seed. Now understand, this does not mean the people who occupied Canaan when Abraham arrived knew they were working for the devil. The old serpent used them in an effort to bring success to his plan.

According to God’s permissive will He allowed a famine to come, and Abraham left for Egypt, forsaking God’s promised place of blessing. The promised Seed was in Isaac, yet unborn. If either Abraham or Sarah had died, Satan would have been victorious. The tense scene in Egypt when Abraham lied to the Pharaoh about his relationship with Sarah could have ended in the success of Satan’s plan. “But God” provided the Seed in the son Isaac after Sarah had passed the years of propagation, and Abraham was one hundred years of age.

Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive and was delivered of a child when she was past age. God performed a biological miracle upon the bodies of Abraham and Sarah when they were passed the age of parenthood. Later, God also preserved Isaac from a famine quite like that which had driven his parents to Egypt. He fell to the same temptation NOT to trust God. Nonetheless, through his going to Egypt, the Seed was protected.
    .

In the days of Jacob, Satan tried to destroy the entire family of the chosen people by famine over all the land. Starvation seemed to be at the door of Jacob and his family, which contained the only remnant of the Seed. Had the line been broken at this point Satan would have won. “But God” preserved Joseph in Egypt to save Jacob and Judah, showing His directive will and design.

Was Satan finished with his plotting? NO! He once again used a great famine. This fourth famine was the test described in the book of Ruth. Satan tried to again destroy the Seed through famine, but God preserved His Seed.

    .
There was a famine in the land, and a certain man of Bethlehem-Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab. God brought forth a beautiful Gentile girl, Ruth, to become the wife of the Jew, Boaz. Ruth became the great-grandmother of David who was the first of the royal Seed)

We have the account of Satan’s attempt to destroy the male line from the children of Israel (Exodus). He would now exterminate the entire nation by the oppression and pursuit of Pharaoh. Jacob and his son, Judah, are in Egypt. After the natural death of Jacob, Judah alone is left of the line. “But God” preserved Moses as a deliverer: forty years in Egypt, forty years out of Egypt, and forty years leading Israel toward Canaan through the wilderness. “Forty” is the number of “testing.”

Again, Satan would have destroyed the nation of Israel at the hand of Haman during their captivity. “But God” raised up Queen Esther for their national salvation, and the Seed was preserved, Christ, the Seed

God promised that the Seed should come through the line of King David. Satan then assaulted the royal Seed and the descendants of David. After attempts to kill King David by the giant Goliath, then by Saul, and afterwards by his son Absalom, Satan watched for a single remaining Seed. This he found in the union of King Jehoram and that wicked heathen wife, Athaliah, the daughter of King Ahab and Jezebel. Jehoram killed his brothers, but had one son to live, Ahaziah. Thus the Seed was preserved. When Ahaziah died his wicked mother, Athaliah, in order to reign, tried to slay all the royal Seed. “But God” preserved the little babe, Joash. He was hidden in the temple by his aunt.

The next of the royal Seed depended upon the life of King Hezekiah. He was childless when surrounded by Sennacherib, king of Assyria, in Jerusalem. In those days King Hezekiah was sick unto death and had no heir. It looked as if Satan would be victorious. “But God” heard the prayer of Hezekiah and his life was spared for fifteen years, leaving a son twelve years of age. God is faithful.

Satan then tried to destroy the true “Seed of the woman,” Christ Jesus. He appealed to the fears of Joseph, and would have Mary put away (Matthew). “But God” said to Joseph by the angel of the Lord, “Fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife.” Then Satan put it into the heart of Herod to slay all the innocent babies from two years and younger. “But God” warned Joseph and Mary to flee into Egypt?

Satan, seeing that he was defeated, went directly after Christ. At the temptation, Satan said: “Cast thyself down.” He misinterpreted the Word of God three times, only to be corrected by Christ. In his consummate conceit, Satan thought he could thwart the eternal purposes of God in Christ? Satan would have had the Seed cast down and killed at Nazareth by His own people. Also Satan tried to kill Him by two great storms, and by other means. However, the climax was reached at Calvary.

    1
2.Did the Seed “bruised the serpent’s head” at Calvary? Explain.

Jesus, the royal Seed, in part “bruised the serpent’s head” at Calvary.” This promised work of the Seed against Satan will be completely fulfilled at the coming advent of Christ.

13.How many times is the phrase “the seed of the woman,” found in the Bible

The expression, “the seed of the woman,” is found only once in the Bible.

14.Memorize and write out Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
and shall call his name Immanuel.

15.How is Christ the Seed of the woman, the Seed of Abraham, and the Seed of David?

Christ was born as Seed of the woman, Seed of Abraham, and Seed of David. As the Seed of the woman He was to bruise the head of Satan; as the Seed of Abraham He was to bring salvation to the household of faith; as the Seed and born into the family of David, He was to fulfil all the Messianic promises.

16.How many times is Christ referred to in the New Testament as the “Son of David.”
Christ is referred to twelve times in the New Testament as the “Son of David.”

17.How is God’s marvelous grace shown by woman?

By woman sin came; by woman a Savior is given. God’s marvelous grace is shown thus.

  6. The Bible is an EPIC FAIL F with regards to women and women’s rights and reeks of male chauvinism and misogyny.

Those who are free of sin do not even need the instructional christian church crutch acting as middle men in their judgement to enter into kingdom of heaven or mansplaining female’s roles or whitesplaining minorities position in life.

After learning basic principles of christianity as children, women and men are better suited to find their own relationship with God instead of listening to scammer jammers.

What sweet, sweet, sane and supremely sound spiritual guidance there, Kiki! You have said it all in ONE light contained in the universal kernel of wisdom.

You would make an ideal Buddhist Sensei.

Here is a quote oft reproduced here on BU for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see the Light of Wisdom and not the dank darkness of religious dogma solely geared only to the control of that simple human mind especially for the sole purpose of commercial exploitation instead of offering a lamp of enlightenment to the spiritually blind:

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

  8. And that, Miller is also what I was taught. And that is what I practise. And that is why we have expunged racial prejudice, misogyny, homophobia and all manner of evils from our practices. Enlightenment comes in stages.

By the way, the only white man I ever heard from a pulpit was a known drunkard who hogged all the communion wine. It was fun for me every Sunday as a twelve year old to listen to what sounded like gargling and to watch the communicants fight to get a sip from the cup he barely touched to their lips.

Haven’t seen a white man since.

I have familiarized myself with some of those African religions of which you speak. They are interesting and worth studying. There is much that can be learnt from most religions and I can take it anywhere I find it.

PS. I have copied that quote from Buddha because I have never heard it put so succinctly yet comprehensively.
