Officials At a recent WHO conference on vaccine safety admit that that the short term trials used to approve new vaccines are inadequate to provide reasonable proof of long term safety. Also they admit that no studies have ever been done to look at possible dangers from administering vaccines from different manufacturers using different adjuvants and antigens in the rigorous, closely spaced vaccination schedule now recommended for babies and young children.

In the link below the HighWire Youtube channel shows video clips from the conference on vaccine safety in which a WHO official admits that public questioning of vaccine safety is increasing in leaps and bounds worldwide and that this doubt as to vaccines’ safety and effectiveness even extends to increasing numbers of medical professionals like doctors and nurses.

Some medical scientists and vaccine researchers taking part in the conference admit, in so many words, that, in spite of WHO’s public assurances of vaccine safety, no one has yet done adequate scientific studies to back the assurances given to the public at large that vaccines have little or no harmful side effects over the long term or that it is safe to give young children multiple doses of different vaccines at shortly spaced intervals as recommended by pharmaceutical companies and most medical regulators and authorities today.

    There is no such thing as a totally safe vaccine, medicine or food. Having said that, the post is a good one.. For those not familiar with the technical jargon :”There are many adjuvants, some of which are inorganic (such as alum), that also carry the potential to augment immunogenicity. Two common salts include aluminium phosphate and aluminium hydroxide. Aluminium salts are the most commonly-used adjuvants in human vaccines. Their adjuvant activity was described in 1926..
    Most of the protocols use white males as the test subjects and what works well for them, may not work well for other races. There seems to be a need for more research into the effect of race, sex and adjuvant choice on the efficacy of vaccines. Blacks need to do more scientific research in these areas not swamp the areas of law, management, economics ,political science and gender studies. Whites are not going to do the work blacks ought to be doing.

    Can we reasonably expect altruism of the Chinese, the Indians, the Europeans, beyond their profiteering, to act consonant with our best interests?

    I got my polio vaccine in 1961 and I am still here. A school mate who did not get his was left permanently disabled.

    Several siblings and school mates who got their at the same time during a mass school based vaccine program asr stilll here. All fit and healthy and over 60.

    i am not white nor male, but all ‘o wunna know that already, lolll!!!

    None of my siblings nor school mates nor the children from my rural Bajan village school are white, about half are male and half female.

    Still fit and healthy at over 60

    1961 to 2010=59 years.

    Large numbers of Bajan children were vaccinated during this period, it seems to me that the results of that camapign all right here with us. I am sure that most of the people on this blog were also vaccinated during that same period.

    I must admit though that i did not get my ‘flu vaccine this ‘flu season, maybe i’ll run over to my nearest polyclinic one day this week, but since i am retired i rarely find myself in crowds, and I get plenty of fresh air working in the ground in the country, still I had a “touch” of the ‘flu in August, and in 2012 which I still worked in a tightly sealed building with hundreds of people, many of whom traveled frequently I got a ‘flu so bad that I wished at the time (but not now, lolll!!!) that death had “released” me. But nothing much since then.

    I used the term ‘white” only to illustrate a point of reality. Like you ,I got my vaccine in 1961,actually a booster because my dad sent all of his children(half-white, half-Indians and the black x Amerindian extraction-me) to Dr. Payne to be immunized prior to the 1961 event. In a lot of ways he was very forward looking.

    Understood.

    However human beings are mostly the same. Skin/hair/eye color are minor variations. We can reproduce together as your father, and a good few of my close relatives have happily discovered. I am a regular blood donor and I NEVER ask if my blood to going to black people or white people or any other people. Truthfully i don’t care about people’s color or gender (although admittedly I do enjoy teasing miller and white hill) or sexual orientation or nationality, or politics or religion or nuthin’ so. If they are sick and my blood can help, then I am happy to help.

    Every human being deserves to live their best possible lives.

    One would figure that this subject matter would have gotten more responses. It tells one much about Barbadians. There is little or no discussion on technical and scientific matters. When it comes to other non-technical matters there is huge amount of discussions.

    Maybe not Robert.

    Immunizations are mostly delivered to infants and very young children.

    Most of the BU “intelligentsia” are ole menses who care (have cared) little or nothing for infants and young children. Who are unlikely to know if and when even if their own children were vaccinated, because they left most of the hands on the child raising to their over burdened wives, girlfriends, grandmothers, aunties, godmothers etc.

    So it is not that they are not interested in science. It is that they are not interested in babies, infants, young children and the future of those younger than themselves.

    But many of them have a lot to say when one young man shoots another.

    When the men had absented themselves from the youth’s life for the first 20 years.

    Actually Robert, the truth is that the BU “intelligentsia” are IGNORANT of scientific matters. When they brimble thereon they talk rubbish usually, and refuse to listen and learn and be corrected.

    Where else on earth have you ever heard of emergency post mortems, or pre mortems, or hardened DNA but on BU.

    Do you know how many times I have been contradicted here on issues of Basic Medical sciences, and medicine———-and cervical injuries– by folk who know nothing about these issues. I have decided not to bother any more.

    Last week the “copier and paster” of this thread copied and pasted about large amounts of deaths due to beta blockers. He has not returned to answer the question how is this so. Nor will he return to comment and expand on the concept of vaccines, cause he knows nothing about it.

    A few years ago an idiot wanted to argue with me about two obstetric cases in the QEH. HE TOLD ME CATEGORICALLY THAT I WAS NOT THERE AND DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. ITS EASIER AND BETTER TO JUST SAY NOTHING EXCEPT TO HAVE A GOOD ROCK AND MOCK

    DO YOU THINK I WILL CONTRADICT YOU ABOUT FOOD SCIENCE?

    But why should the blacks “do more scientific research” when they can pray to sweet white Jesus and have all their challenges solve?

    Black people are some of the most stupid people on “God’s” green Earth. No wonder other races see them as an easily-fooled set of idiots.

    How like Dr. GP and the other GP2, could they fall so easily for Jewish children stories about plagiarized myths and legends?

    Look how the Chinese have gotten into the act after seeing how the Indians have made fortunes out of selling them ‘things’!

    But then again some one has to be at the bottom of the barrel if somebody else is to be at the top of the pile.

    Fortunately, life is indeed a zero sum game. For blacks, given their minority presence on the globe, they do punch above their weight when it comes to sports and music.

    BTW, Dr. Lucas, what do you consider to be the ‘downside’ of the MMR vaccine especially among blacks?

    I am not a medical doctor. I am a microbiologist and biotechnologist. I know some thing about the topic but it is better for immunologists to tackle the question for you. As I have said under this particular posting, you will need research scientists. Research science in not from a money aspect very profitable and there is also the fact that the research scientist spends a great deal of time in the lab. Most people won’t go into to this area of research. One has to like the topic .

    In 1961 infants and children got significantly fewer immunizations than today. Thinking that because you and your friends got vaccinated in 1961 and didn’t have a problem as a result should be enough evidence to prove that the vaccine regimes and the many new vaccines (developed since 1961) that are imposed in much shorter time intervals on babes in arms, young people and adults today are also safe entirely ignores the concerns expressed by the scientists in the recent W.H.O. conference seen in the video at the start of this thread.

    That concern, in a nutshell, seemed to be that the regulators have been making decisions to date re. vaccine safety based on inadequate trials (too few participants over too short time periods) with inadequate long term monitoring and follow up to detect and investigate possible harmful vaccine reactions after the initial trial period. Therefore they are lacking a sound, SCIENTIFIC basis for reassuring the public that vaccines are reasonably safe and reliable. The big club that the orthodox medical establishment wields over alternative health practitioners is that orthodox medicine can be trusted because it is always firmly science based. Now we are supposed to accept it is ok to abandon the scientific principle in the case of vaccines and just go by the regulators’ and doctors’ gut feel that all vaccines are good for public heath and carry little or no risk?

    What’s to discuss? I am not qualified to expound on this but I got immunized against many diseases and so did my son. So far so good. I know of no-one in my experience who has been harmed by vaccines.

    So far modern science has done me more good than harm. Saved my life. Saved my sight. I’m going to stick with that.

    Sleight of hand used by Big Pharma in trials to get the Gardasil HPV vaccine approved.

    It is widely recognized that when testing a new medication/vaccine for safety and/or effectiveness it is customary to perform double blind studies in which half the participants will get the new drug and half will get a placebo, i.e. if the medication is in pill form, the placebo will be a “fake” pill made of some inert substance that is supposed to be medically neutral to the body as far as conferring any positive or deleterious effects on the health of the user. If the drug is given by injection, then the group taking the placebo gets an injection of a neutral saline solution or water. Only the scientists conducting the study know which participants got the real medication and which participants were given the placebo.

    Over the trial period the health of the participants is monitored, and when the trial is over it can be determined if the participants in the group who took the real medication had a statistically significant improvement in their condition compared to the participants in the group taking the placebo. It can also be noticed if the genuine medication recipients experienced any deleterious side effects or reactions compared to the placebo group..

    But check out what the companies Merck and GlaxoSmithKline did to help fix the double blind trials for the HPV vaccine against cervical cancer. to come out in their favour.

    In many of their vaccine trials it was determined that they did not use a medically neutral and inert placebo in their double blind studies. In fact the placebo groups often got injected with a supposedly neutral placebo which actually contained the vaccine adjuvant aluminum.

    Toxic substances like aluminum are used as adjuvants in vaccines to stimulate the recipients’ immune systems to produced antibodies to the dead or weakened strains of the viruses or bacteria contained in the vaccine. However, aluminum is known to be a toxic substance in the human body and in the W.H.O conference (see video at start of thread) some time was spent in discussing the difficulties inherent in producing vaccines with adjuvants like aluminum. It was stated at the conference that scientists still have a sketchy understanding of the mechanism by which adjuvants act on the body and the immune system, and also it was stated that adjuvants can act in unpredictable ways at times depending on differing genetic factors and ages in the recipients

    Much of the concerns about vaccine safety centers around the possible deleterious health effects of the toxic vaccine adjuvants or preservatives used in many vaccines. So why in the world would “respectable” Big Pharma companies like Merck and GSK introduce an adjuvant into a supposedly inert placebo in a
    vaccine trial?

    If the aluminum content is toxic enough to introduce deleterious health effects in some recipients of the vaccine, then having aluminum contained in the placebo means that the placebo group will likely show similar deleterious health effects. That way it can be used to mask negative health effects in the vaccine group. If, for example, out of 100 actual vaccine recipients, 15 showed negative, harmful reactions due to the presence of the aluminum adjuvant, then the placebo group would have a tendency to also show a similar type and rate of harmful reactions (assuming these reactions are caused by the presence of aluminum).

    That way the vaccine manufacturers could make a claim like this (made up examples follow): “We did see some negative reactions in the vaccine recipients – 3 recipients developed a painful purple rash on their chest, 3 had severe leg cramps, 5 ran high fevers for up to two days, 2 had their hair drop out, one person had a heart attack and one person came down with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (often listed as a possible reaction in some flu vaccine insert information sheets). However, we don’t think these reactions can be used as an indication of a problem with our new HPV vaccine, because, guess what, the placebo group which did NOT get the vaccine had similar rates of the same types of health problems. Of course, this will only work if the news doesn’t get out that the scoundrels spiked the supposedly inert placebos with aluminum.

    Vaccine makers rely on “statistical gimmicks” to obscure the truth about HPV vaccines harming children

    The World Mercury Project is reporting that when the Mexican researchers looked into the HPV vaccine trials performed by manufacturers Merck and GlaxoSmithKline, they made the shocking discovery that instead of using inert placebos, placebos spiked with a neurotoxic aluminum adjuvant were used in at least 10 of the 16 trials, while an existing aluminum-containing vaccine was used as the placebo in a further four trials.

    This is a serious problem, because scientists have begun to recognize that it is most likely the aluminum adjuvants in the HPV vaccines that are responsible for causing long-term, chronic health conditions for so many young women.     Should he read this, I would be interested in hearing what Dr. Lucas thinks of the validity and usefulness of having double blind studies in which the “neutral” placebo is spiked with the same neurotoxin as the vaccine under examination.

    I was not talking just about me and my 1961 friends. Since 1961 literally billions of children have been immunized, and billions of them have survived and are surviving into old age. My children have been immunized and so have my grand children, and so will my great grand chidren as long as I retain any influence in this family.

    I say yes to HPV.

    I remember back in the early 70’s Barbados had the world’s 3rd highest rate of deaths from cervical cancer. Young mothers DIED. I am glad that my children and grand children don’t have to die young from cervical cancer and leave their children behind.

    i say “yes” to the HPV vaccine.

    Some people seem to that giving girls the HPV vaccine will encourage them to have sex before marriage. But historically people in their late teens and very early twenties have always had sex, except then much earlier marriage was practiced. So “yes” married teenagers were having regular sex.

    Still teens having sex. A vaccine can protect against HPV.

    A wedding ring offers no such protection.

    But that seems to be changing in recent years in some Western societies. In the USA for certain children’s quality of life and health have deteriorated due to increases in allergies, asthma, and other chronic health issues which now even the WHO appears to be accepting could be possibly linked to vaccine side effects and which indicates a need for further, more rigorous investigation (as per the video at the top of the thread)…

    This is an interesting factoid. Japan on average has significantly healthier children than the US and at the same time a less stringent childhood vaccination program than the US. Could be just coincidence of course, as we all know correlation doesn’t equal causation.

    Japan Leads the Way in Child Health: No Compulsory Vaccines. Banned Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) Vaccine

    In 1994, Japan transitioned away from mandated vaccination in public health centers to voluntary vaccination in doctors’ offices, guided by “the concept that it is better that vaccinations are performed by children’s family doctors who are familiar with their health conditions.” The country created two categories of non-compulsory vaccines: “routine” vaccines that the government covers and “strongly recommends” but does not mandate, and additional “voluntary” vaccines, generally paid for out-of-pocket. Unlike in the U.S., Japan has no vaccine requirements for children entering preschool or elementary school.

    Japan also banned the MMR vaccine in the same time frame, due to thousands of serious injuries over a four-year period—producing an injury rate of one in 900 children that was “over 2,000 times higher than the expected rate.” It initially offered separate measles and rubella vaccines following its abandonment of the MMR vaccine; Japan now recommends a combined measles-rubella (MR) vaccine for routine use but still shuns the MMR. The mumps vaccine is in the “voluntary” category.

    Here are key differences between the Japanese and U.S. vaccine programs:

    Japan has no vaccine mandates, instead recommending vaccines that (as discussed above) are either “routine” (covered by insurance) or “voluntary” (self-pay).
    Japan does not vaccinate newborns with the hepatitis B (HepB) vaccine, unless the mother is hepatitis B positive.
    Japan does not vaccinate pregnant mothers with the tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.
    Japan does not give flu shots to pregnant mothers or to six-month-old infants.
    Japan does not give the MMR vaccine, instead recommending an MR vaccine.
    Japan does not require the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

    Well anyhow I wish you and the children and grandchildren all the luck in the world with regards to getting inoculated with the HPV vaccine and NOT being one of those random, unfortunate recipients that are reported to have contracted debilitating complications after receiving the shots.
