Submitted by Grenville Phillips II,

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:  “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”  (Luke 2:13-14)

This declaration is similar to Jesus’ response to the lawyer, who asked Him about the greatest commandment in the law.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)

Since these things appear to be consistently linked, perhaps the love that we show each-other is a measure of the love we have towards God, and not the other way around.  We show that we love the Creator by demonstrating love to His creation.  John seems to support this view.

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?  And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.  (1 John 4:20-21)

At this Christmas time, may we commit to treating each-other better, for we are all the creation of God.

  1. BACK TO THE BIBLE, PIECE EVEN THOUGH NOT WITH THEODORE EPP OR WARREN WIERSBE

1 BELOW IS A PASSAGE FROM JOHN CHAPTER ONE
NOTE THE LINE Art thou that prophet?
THIS TELLS ME THAT THE QUESTIONERS KNEW AND UNDERSTOOD MOSES’ PREDICTION OF DEUTERONOMY 18:15 FF
IT DEBUNKS THE RUBBISH THAT PHILIPS TALK ABOUT JEWS NOT KNOWING THE BIBLE

19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

2 BELOW IS ANOTHER PASSAGE FROM JOHN CHAPTER ONE
    NOTE VERSE 39 AND 41
NOTE THAT WHEREAS BIRD BRAIN THE BIBLE ILLITERATE WONT GET THAT
ANDREW AND JOHN WAS ABLE TO CONNECT THE LAMB OF GOD WITH THE MESSIAH
SEEMS THAT INTER ALIA THESE MEN UNDERSTOOD EXODUS 12

    35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

3- NOW LOOK AT THESE VERSES FROM JOHN 2
And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.
17And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

THE SCRIPTURE THAT THE DISCIPLES REMEMBERED WAS PSALM 69:10. HOW COULD THEY REMEMBER THIS SCRIPTURE IF THEY DID NOT KNOW IT ?

WHY DID THE JEWS ASK FOR A SIGN HERE ?
CLEARLY THEY KNEW AND UNDERSTOOD MOSES’ PREDICTION OF DEUTERONOMY 18:15 FF

4 NOW LOOK AT JOHN 3:14
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
WHY WOULD JESUS CITE THE EVENT IN NUMBERS 21 IF HE DID NOT THINK AND KNOW THAT THIS SCRIPTUTE SHOULD BE AND WOULD BE KNOWN?

5 NOW LOOK AT JOHN 6:4
4 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
WHICH PROPHET WERE THEY SPEAKING OF?
CLEARLY THEY KNEW AND UNDERSTOOD MOSES’ PREDICTION OF DEUTERONOMY 18:15 FF

6 NOW LOOK AT JOHN 6 AGAIN

30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
CLEARLY THEY KNEW AND UNDERSTOOD MOSES’ PREDICTION OF DEUTERONOMY 18:15 FF

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

SEEMS THAT THEY KNEW OF THE INCIDENT RECORDED IN EXODUS
CAREFUL PERUSAL OF THE GOSPELS INDICATE THAT THE COMMON MAN KNEW GOD’S WORD CONTRARY TO THE UNENLIGHTENED OPINION OF GRENVILLE PHILIPS WHO PRETENDS TO KNOW THE BIBLE, BUT CLEARLY DOES NOT

  2. Piece:

No one hates the pdp, and certainly not I, so that is simply another one of your lies. You simply cannot help yourself.

As you are well aware, the head of the pdp is Paul Leacock – they rejected you. As far as I am aware, Paul Leacock is a decent man.

  3. Porgie:

You asked for a Biblical reference to support my opinion, which I provided, and which you have not refuted.

In response, you have provided evidence to support your opinion.

So, what we have is a verse that lends itself to at least two different interpretations. So what should we do?

How about allowing ourselves to benefit from both? How about we acknowledge that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, came into the world AND acknowledge that God wants us to try to get along with each other where possible.

Are there mutually exclusive ideas? Do any of them violate Biblical teachings?

  4. no MR DIOTROPHES sir

I NEVER COMPROMISE ON THE WORD OF GOD BECAUSE COMPROMISE IS SIN ON THE INSTALLMENT PLAN

MISINTERPRETING AND MISAPPLYING THE WORD OF GOD IS SIN

YOU HAVE NOT BY REFERRING TO OTHER VERSES RIGHTLY DIVIDED IN THEIR CONTEXTS SHOWN THAT THERE MAY BE AN ALTERNATIVE INTERPRETATION

    YOU ARE WRONG

IT IS A FACT THAT Jesus, the Prince of Peace, came into the world

IT IS ALSO A FACT THAT God wants us to try to get along with each other where possible. IS NOT TAUGHT BY THE SCRIPTURE YOU CITED

RE Are there mutually exclusive ideas? Do any of them violate Biblical teachings?

THIS IS NOT THE POINT YOU HAVE INCORRECTLY DIVIDED THE SCRIPTURE AND TRIED TO MANIPULATE PASSAGES TO SAY WHAT THEY DID NOT SAY

HOW MANY INTERPRETATIONS SHOULD WE GIVE TO THE STATEMENT THAT
GRENVILLE PHILIPS AND SOLUTIONS HAVE NO SOLUTIONS FOR BARBADOS?

HOW DO YOU INTERPRET THAT STATEMENT?

THIS IS HOW I INTERPRET IT ………………………………………..

GRENVILLE PHILIPS AND SOLUTIONS HAVE NO SOLUTIONS FOR BARBADOS?

  5. Piece the Legend Avatar

    @ Grenville Phillips aka …

9.01pm on December 26 you said and I quote

“…As you are well aware, the head of the pdp is Paul Leacock – they rejected you….”

    You then continued to say

“…As far as I am aware, Paul Leacock is a decent man…”

Let me see if I can explain this concept to you simply enough for you to understand what de ole man is saying

Do a google search on “how important is the choice of the leader of a political party to it winning?”

“…there is a close correlation between how much individuals report liking a party’s leader in May/June 2014 and their self-reported probability of voting for the party in September/October 2014.

The more they liked the leader at the earlier date, the more likely they thought they would be to vote for his party later…”

So, since you are indeed a slow man, bereft of both political and comprehension skills, de ole man WILL INTERPRET THIS FOR YOU!

In the same way NO ONE IN BARBADOS KNOWS YOU, OR YOUR MEMBERSHIP, no one in Barbados knows Paul Leacock!

AND TO RUN PAUL LEACOCK, in a place like Barbados where people associate party WITH LEADER, is to totally diminish the possibility of the PdP winning in the next General Elections in 2021!

1.The PdP MUST RUN CASWELL FRANKLYN AS THE LEADER OF THE PARTY

2.In a public broadcast, Reverend Atherley must endorse the Leadership of the PdP passing to Senator Caswell Franklyn

3.In another public broadcast Reverend Joseph Atherley MUST ANNOUNCE HIS INTENTION TO CARRY THE FIGHT TO MIA MOTTLEY IN ST MICHAEL NORTH EAST!

Paul Leacock IS NOT CASWELL FRANKLYN AND WILL NOT HAVE HIS CURRENCY!

This IS NOT about the internal structure of the PdP, the ole man is past all those meaningless things.

THE OLE MAN IS TELLING YOU ABOUT WINNING THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION in 2021!

  6. is the ole man saying that for solutions barbados to win an election that solutions barbados needs to present some solutions for barbados?

  7. Piece:

So, rather that the pdp determining its affairs by majority vote, you would have Atherley behave like a dictator, and attract further negative and justified criticism? Is that really your best advise?

Don’t you understand that forcing a leader just to win an election can make governing extremely difficult? What is the goal Piece, to win, or to win and govern effectively?

I do not want to test the Blogmaster’s patience by discussing political issues here. You may have the last word and restart this conversation elsewhere.

  8. RE What is the goal Piece, to win, or to win and govern effectively?

YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GOVERNING EFFECTIVELY GRENVILLE
CAUSE YOU AINT GOING TO WIN SO YOU AINT GOING TO GET THE CHANCE TO GOVERN AT ALL
