Grenville Phillips II, Leader of Solutions Barbados

I recently examined category 5 hurricane damage in the worst affected Bahamian islands.  As usual, it was the simple things that caused unnecessary building failures.  I plan to publish our findings, for the benefit of home-owners, in a subsequent article.

To visit the Bahamian islands and return home, I had to go through airport security eight times.  After the collapse of the Twin Towers in 2001, airport security guards confiscated water and sharp objects from carry-on luggage.  However, once you passed through the security scanners, you could purchase water and sharp objects in the departure area, and board the plane with them.

That same year, an airline passenger tried to detonate explosives hidden in his shoes.  Since then, everyone must remove their shoes for inspection before boarding a plane.  For safety reasons, I do not object to the inconveniences of airline travel.  However, I do object to the unsanitary methods.

The guards would to direct travellers to place their shoes in the same bins that they instructed travellers to place their cell-phones, wallets, pens, and jackets.  For the past 18 years, I explained to the guards the unsanitary nature of their instruction, and would place my shoes directly on the conveyor belt in protest.

Dogs and birds walk on the same pavements as humans.  Therefore, most people unavoidably walk on animal excrement.  After walking through animal jobbies, those same shoes are placed in a bin.  Passengers are then forced to place their cell-phones in these filthy bins, and then place their jobby-contaminated phones to their faces when answering calls.

I have seen improvements in my recent travels.  However, Barbadian guards still allow this unsanitary practise at our airport.  While they are trained to protect the public from harm, they appear to be allowing more harm than they are preventing.

Barbadian guards who work at our public buildings appear to be trained differently.  They do not seem to be trained protect the public from harm.  Instead, they seem to be trained to protect public officials from the public.

It is important that our public officials, including judges, tax officials, and regulators, feel safe while working.  If a judge feels that his life is in imminent danger, he may render an unfair sentence.  A fearful tax official may erroneously calculate an excessive tax demand.  To keep them safe, they are provided with our elite unarmed guards.

Before the public can enter some government buildings, they must have their bags and bodies scanned for weapons.  However, most public buildings do not have this service.  Perhaps, because it is not weapons that our public officials fear.

Our public officials are intimidated by a greater threat – an untucked shirt.  Our unarmed guards spring into action when they see one of those.  It matters not that the shirt was specifically designed to be worn untucked.  Our guards insist that there are only two options, tuck it in, or leave.

In order to do business at some government offices, I have had to tuck in all sorts of shirts designed to be worn untucked.  So far, I have only been inconvenienced.  However, I was reliably informed that a guard insisted that a fellow tuck in his shirt jac.  His choices were to either walk around like a clown or leave.

These guards do not care whom they humiliate.  They are sworn to protect our public officials from untucked shirts at all costs.  I can only hope that the next time they see me, they do not insist that I tuck in my jacket.

While men merely suffer inconvenience or humiliation, our women are forced to miss important appointments because they are denied entry.  There are few things more intimidating to our public officials than a strapless dress.  Our women can return home and put on an identical dress with straps, and they would be allowed entry.

If a woman arrived with a back-out, then that would justify a code-red.  A back-out is simply too much kung-fu.  However, the greatest threat to the safety of our public officials are exposed toes.

It matter not how much the shoes cost.  Once our guards see the ten commandments, they go into a cold sweat, and start to see those black stars.  If the lady makes it into the building, there must be a mandatory evacuation.

Why are our public officials such fragile snowflakes?  We graduate hundreds of secondary school graduates every year, who will have to visit public buildings for the first time.  They are not aware of these dress codes.  Why frustrate them so early?  Why can’t our guards exercise some discretion?  Why should our women have to travel back home to change, just because the dress does not have straps?

Countries that try to control every aspect of their citizens’ lives know these methods all too well.  Once you make insignificant actions major offences, with severe consequences for non-compliance, then you can get a compliant population without much national disruption.  A secondary benefit of this method of control, is that it easily identifies those who would likely be non-compliant in the future, so that they can be targeted for re-education.

Your final sentence is accurate: “As the saying goes to each his own.”

Each family must do their best in raising their children, based on their unique environments. If your neighbour was so concerned about weeds in his lawn that he used Round-Up weekly, then perhaps you would not want your child playing in their lawn.

I am careful not to judge any parent on the restrictions they place on their own children – because I do not know their individual circumstances.

  5. Apologies for going off topic again, but I believe this warrants serious attention by the local medical authorities and parents of young girls/teenagers (and possibly in future of young males as well) who might feel pressured into giving permission for administration of the HPV vaccine to their children.

There is mounting evidence worldwide that this vaccine can unpredictably cause long lasting, crippling and even life threatening reactions in some recipients. There is a half hour documentary available on the internet on the topic called “Sacrificial Virgins”. Everyone in Barbados or elsewhere who has a child that is offered this vaccine should be made aware of the worst case possibilities. Because if the worst happens it could mean the death of their child,or at least an expensive, life disrupting event for child and parent. From the documentary it appears that some parents of injured children were intentionally not fully informed by their local doctors or medical authorities of the already known possible harmful reactions the vaccine could cause before giving permission for their child to take the vaccine.

Sacrificial Virgins description from their web site:

Sacrificial Virgins – so named because the vaccine is often given to girls before they become sexually active – exposes increasing evidence of serious neurological damage following the HPV injections. It calls for the vaccine to be withdrawn in the hope that this will help to halt another global tragedy.

The documentary is divided into three parts.

Part I “Not for the greater good” questions whether HPV actually causes cervical cancer. It states that there is so far no proof that the HPV vaccination of girls can prevent cervical cancer in her later life and highlights compelling evidence that the risk of severe, neurological side-effects outweighs its unproven benefits.

Part II “Pain and suffering” focuses on two young British victims who are paralysed and on a likely cause of the adverse reactions: the use of a new type of aluminium in the vaccines and also the addition of other aluminium content which was not included in the safety trials.

Part III “A penny for your pain” looks at the growing litigation around the world following HPV vaccine damage. Over a hundred cases are going through the courts in Japan . There is ongoing litigation in Spain and a class action in Colombia involving 700 injured girls.

    @greenmonkey “the worst case possibilities.”

Well there is also a worse case possibility to contracting cervical cancer. That worse case possibility is DEATH.

It is estimated that 27 Barbadian women DIE of cervical cancer each year:

  7. I NOW HAVE TWO ANSWERS TO MY QUESTION ON IMPROVING THE POLYCLINIC SYSTEM

HERE IS GRANVILLE’S NON SOLUTION SOLUTION
The basic problem with public services are that they are poorly managed. The solution is to better manage them. The question is, what management system can we use? We propose to use the proven international management standard, ISO 9001. It works well in the public sector.

HERE IS SIMPLE SIMON’S ANSWERS ON IMPROVING THE POLYCLINIC SYSTEM
It would help if the polyclinics operated an appointment system, except for emergencies of course. The polyclinics offer excellent care, but the wait can be burdensome. We all have smart phones in our hands. Let us use them smartly. Patients should be able to make appointments via their phone, just as they make online appoints for American visa interviews. But yes the technology costs money, and it must be very secure.

NOTE SIMPLE SIMON IS NOT SEEKING TO RUN THE COUNTRY BUT AS A USER OF THE SYSTEM SHE HAS OFFERED A T LEAST ONE SIMPLE PRACTICAL SOLUTION’

IN THE 90’S THERE WAS A LADY AT EDGAR COCHRANE CLINIC, WHO RAN A VERY strict EFFICIENT APpOINTMENT SYSTEM, AND THE CLINIC WORKED LIKE CLOCKWORK

TELL ME WHICH OF THESE ANSWERS IS THE BETTER ANSWER?

HERE IS GRANVILLE’S NON SOLUTION SOLUTION ON FIXING THE HOSPITAL ISSUES
Ditto. We actually had a public workshop where we invited Dexter James, and the CEOs of all public services to learn how to implement the management standard. At the workshop, we used the QEH as an example, and designed an ISO compliant system for the QEH within 2 hours to show how easy it actually was.

HERE IS SIMPLE SIMON’S ANSWERS FOR FIXING THE HOSPITAL ISSUES
According to the last Sunday’s Sun newspaper, page 31A the PM has set the new executive director and the QEH’s team to work on this. The PM wants continuous maintenance. She wants better meals, she wants Wi-FI, she wants more community nurses, including some to work with those who are having difficulties managing their diabetes and other chronic illnesses. I am sure that we can all add to this to-do list. The PM was worried about dust. Dust? And the hospital has PAID housekeepers on staff? I would like to see all newborns tested for sickle cell, so that as young adults people would know their own status and can make informed decisions about whether to have children and with whom. Testing infants for sickle cell has to be cheaper than life long treatment for sickle cell.

NOTE SIMPLE SIMON IS NOT SEEKING TO RUN THE COUNTRY BUT AS A CITIZEN SHE HAS OFFERED A T LEAST ONE SIMPLE PRACTICAL SOLUTION TO AVERT THE INCIDENCE OF SICKLE CELL DISEASE

TWO WEEKS AGO SHE GAVE AN EXCELLENT AND PRACTICAL SUMMARY OF HOW SHE WOULD GO ABOUT CLEANING THE HOSPITAL’

TELL ME WHICH OF THESE ANSWERS IS THE BETTER ANSWER

WHILE SIMPLE SIMON IS GETTING SOME ISSUES FIXED, THE EXALTED WANNABEE POLITICIAN TALKS ABOUT HOLDING PUBLIC WORKSHOPS WITH Dexter James, ……….. to learn how to implement the management standard.

NOW IF YOU READ THE BRITISH MEDICAL JOURNAL, JAMA, AND OTHER MEDICAL JOURNALS YOU WILL FIND THAT SIMPLE SIMON’S APPROACH IS THE PREFERRED ONE, AND THE ONE THAT IS PRACTICED HERE THERE AND EVERYWHERE AS SEEKING TO PREVENT MEDICAL PROBLEMS IN THE COMMUNITIES SERVED BY THE HOSPITALS IS WHAT IS DONE

SIMPLE SIMON HAS HERE AGAIN SOUGHT TO ADDRESS A REAL PRACTICAL PROBLEM THAT MIGHT IMPACT THE HOSPITAL’S FUNCTION AND EFFICIENCY

But what if there were enough sidewalks that we could all walk the short errands, the children to school, to the corner shop, to the polyclinic, to church on Saturdays and Sundays, to the mosque on Fridays, to visit our MP’s office (lol!) to visit neighbours and friends nearby.

What if we could all walk more and do so safely.

  10. HERE IS GRANVILLE’S NON SOLUTION SOLUTION ON GETTING THE GARBAGE PICKED UP

The twin problems are management and maintenance. Therefore, we plan to manage it properly, and allow private sector mechanics to tender for the repair of one truck each. The repair contract would include a 6-month maintenance period, where any maintenance issues arising during those 6 months would be repaired at no cost to the Government.
Once mechanics have properly repaired one truck, they will be allowed to tender to repair other trucks, in addition to the one they previously repaired.

SAME SONG management and maintenance……….management and maintenance

LETS FIX TRUCKS…………WHILE THE POPULACE CONTRACTS LEPTOSPIROSIS AS THEY WAIT TO HAVE THEIR GARBAGE PICKED UP.
THE WAY TO PICK UP GARBAGE————–IS TO PICK UP GARBAGE

HERE IS SIMPLE SIMON’S ANSWERS FOR GETTING THE GARBAGE PICKED UP

Let us start with sorting in our own kitchens. Let the private sector pick up the clean plastic metal and glass once a month or even once a quarter. How can it hurt to keep a clean ketchup bottle in our homes for a few weeks. Let the SSA pick up the smelly food waste once per week. Once per day in Bridgetown and other commercial districts

NOTE AGAIN SIMPLE SIMON DOES NOT SEEK ANY POLITICAL OFFICE ….BUT NOTE THAT SHE HAS A PRACTICAL PROGRESSIVE PROPOSAL INVOLVING SORTING OF GARBAGE, the private sector, and AND the SSA
I have my ideas on this, but I have no plans to give the BLP GOVERNMENT any of my ideas whatsoever.

HERE IS GRENVILLE THE SAGE ON FIXING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

The main problem is the curriculum – which is designed to benefit the 20% of students who are able to grasp the information earlier than their classmates. Therefore, we would re-arrange the curriculum, so that the more exciting, easier-to-learn practical/marketable aspects of subjects are taught before the more complex theory. This way, all students should benefit.

Therefore, we would teach conversational language before conjugating the verbs, music by ear before music theory, applied sciences before theoretical, etc. Once students find that they are benefiting from learning, they are more likely to exercise the discipline required to understand more complex material.

HERE IS SIMPLE SIMON ON FIXING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF BARBADOS

This is a biggie and perhaps the most difficult fix of all. Throw more training for teachers, and more money at the thing. Everybody, parents, children, principals, Ministry officials show more respect for the work that teachers do. Dare i suggest a library in every school? And a library period added to every timetable, even if the school day has to go to 3:30.

SIMPLE SIMON SEEKS TO HAVE MORE LIBRARIES. MORE TEACHER TRAINING

I HAVE LED CHURCH CHOIRS IN ABOUT 6 COUNTRIES NOW, BUT I WISH TO GOD I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN MUSIC THEORY

DOES THIS FRAUD KNOW THAT SOME FOLK JUST DON’T HAVE A MUSICAL EAR, AND WOULD BE WASTING TIME IN HIS MUSIC BY EAR CLASSES?.

HOW EXACTLY DO YOU TEACH applied sciences before theoretical? WHY NOT FIND BETTER WAYS TO TEACH THE NEED FOR TEACHING THESE CONCEPTS, AND WHAT ARE THE PRACTICAL BENEFITS OF BEING EXPOSED TO THESE CONCEPTS?

You have not addressed “I must confess that I am very curious about what science your paranoia is based on.”

As an trained agriculturalist, I wouldn’t be concerned about Round-Up. being used weekly. As a matter of fact, i would inform my neighbor that. Round-Up is a systemic herbicide( that is, it is absorbed into the vascular system of the plant and destroys the targeted plant from the inside outward) and that he was wasting money spraying weekly. I am pretty sure there would be an amendment of his ways, since the chemical is very expensive. If I found the smell to be disconcerting due to wind drift, I would suggest that he use a shield to prevent drifting of the chemical by wind and also suggest that spraying be done in the early morning or late evenings when wind speeds are at their slowest. In any event, the chemical is broken down by the ultra violet rays present in sunlight From a toxicological aspect, there is no need to be concerned, since one would have to be exposed to massive doses to get an adverse reaction.

  13. @ Robert Lucas,

Have you heard this news (below), and what are your thoughts – seeing as glyphosate is the main ingredient in a mixture of different chemical products used in the herbicide Roundup, and we in Barbados live in a hard water country?

AAAS gives scientific freedom award to scientists who identified possible glyphosate kidney disease link

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has stood firm against industry pressure and confirmed that it is giving the 2019 Award for Scientific Freedom and Responsibility to two Sri Lankan scientists, Sarath Gunatilake and Channa Jayasumana, who hypothesized a connection between glyphosate herbicide exposure and chronic kidney disease.

The AAAS had first announced its intention to give the award to Drs Gunatilake and Jayasumana at the beginning of this year. But its announcement unleashed a furious backlash from defenders of glyphosate. These included the GMO and pesticide promoter Kevin Folta, who falsely claimed that “there were no data” presented in the scientists’ published papers.

    snip

Gunatilake and Jayasumana investigated a kidney disease epidemic that has claimed tens of thousands of lives in their home country of Sri Lanka and around the world. Their research pointed to an association between glyphosate herbicide exposure and chronic kidney disease in farmers in areas with hard water. And in a series of peer-reviewed papers, they presented their hypothesis that glyphosate was transporting arsenic, cadmium and other heavy metals to the kidneys of those drinking contaminated water, causing chronic kidney disease. As a result of their work, Sri Lanka has introduced a partial ban on glyphosate herbicides on a precautionary basis. But the researchers themselves have been subjected to a campaign of vilification and even suffered death threats.

Commenting on AAAS’s decision, the veteran science journalist Michael Balter said that he was very glad to see the award to Drs Gunatilake and Jayasumana going ahead: “Their hypothesis is reasonable and their research is suggestive of such a link. It certainly indicates that further study is necessary rather than industry-sponsored dismissal and obfuscation.”

  21. Just on a hunch I went to my browser and searched on the three words: kidney disease Barbados. And what do you know – hard water and a wide use of Roundup is not the only thing we have in common with Sri Lanka. (That is until a precautionary partial ban on Roundup was recently instituted by the Sri Lankan government.) Kidney disease is increasing significantly in Barbados too, just like in Sri Lanka. Lt Col Bostic our Minister of Health and Wellness says on average we are seeing 12 new cases each month.

    Kidney disease on the rise
Article by Barbados Today Published on Oct 29, 2019

An alarming 12 new cases of chronic kidney disease each month are placing tremendous strain on the health care sector’s ability to provide much needed dialysis treatment for those diagnosed.

According to Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, the situation has become so dire that both public and private sector facilities were finding it difficult to meet the growing demand.

As a result of the growing prevalence of renal disease, he told Barbados TODAY the planned enactment of legislation to facilitate tissue and organ donation has become even more important than before.

“The capacity of the country, including the public and private sectors is being threatened daily and monthly because I am advised there are about 12 new cases every month and that is why we have had to first of all look at the whole question of tissue and organ donation and transplantation and the Cabinet recently approved a policy paper and we are in the process of framing the legislation along with the Chief Parliamentary Counsel so that we can introduce the bill to parliament to be able to facilitate this process,” Bostic said.

As I have stated else where on this blog, when the matter reaches the US supreme court ,most of the damages awarded will be over turn. I also outlined the NOEL( no observable effect level) and the LOEL( lowest observable effect level) effect level where carcinogenic compounds are concerned. I pointed out that there is no such thing as a safe compound. If taken in excess, water kills. I also pointed out that the Food and Drug Cosmetic Act considers that any substance, no matter what the concentration used, if deemed to be carcinogenic is automatically banned( there are exceptions made for the chlorination of potable water using chlorine: at high concentrations, chlorine is carcinogenic). There is also the problem of extrapolation of animal model studies to humans. Even among humans there differences in reactions to medical drugs when race, age and so on are taken into consideration I also pointed out that the levels of the compounds the test- animals are exposed to in model systems are several magnitude of that ,that a human would in a normal life time be exposed to. In other words, the test samples used are non-realistic. There is the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)which comes with all chemicals. The user is expected to follow the safety guide lines. having worked in agriculture. ,I can tell you that the MSDS is seldom followed in practice. As I have said previously one is dealing with risk assessment.
European Food Safety Authority,Conclusion on the peer review of the pesticide risk assessment of the active substance glyphosate. EFSA Journal, 2015.13(11):p. 4302.
Recently the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) decided that the widely used herbicide, glyphosate “is unlikely to pose a carcinogenic hazard to humans.”

RE Kidney disease on the rise

“The capacity of the country, including the public and private sectors is being threatened daily and monthly because I am advised there are about 12 new cases every month

UNDER WHICH HEADING DID THESE CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE FALL?
    WHAT WAS THE RENAL PATHOLOGY

Congenital cystic disease of the kidney?
Vascular renal pathology: renal artery stenosis, Benign nephrosclerosis of essential hypertension?
    Renal cell carcinoma?
    Renal lithiasis and complications?
    Acute tubular necrosis?
    Acute and chronic pyelonephritis:?
Clinicopathologic correlation for Glomerulonephritis including Lupus and Diabetic nephropathy?
Which of these Renal syndromes below
     Acute renal failure
     Chronic renal failure
     Nephrotic syndrome
     Nephritic syndrome

Which of these are associated with roundup?

WHY IS KIDNEY DISEASE ON THE RISE IN BARBADOS
IF I HAD TO GUESS FROM MY PERCH FAR AWAY IN CENTRAL FLORIDA IT WOULD BE RENAL FAILURE SECONDARY TO LEPTOSPIROSIS CAUSE WE CAN NOT COLLECT THE GARBAGE AND THE FACT THAT THERE ARE BIG RATS RUNNING AROUND BARBADOS.

OR IS IT FROM RENAL FAILURE SECONDARY TO DENGUE HAEMORHAGIC FEVER

I do like my grandparents did, grow the spinach over de paling. Grow my own kale too. I weed by hand or with a hoe.

Are my crops still part of the dirty dozen?

Some of our kidney disease may be genetic. I know of one family that has lost members over 3 generations to kidney disease before the age of 55. Very likely genetic.

Hypertension and diabetes. Are all hypertensives and diabetics compliant with their medicines, diet and exercise? If nor what are the consequences?

I have used a modest amount of glyphospate myself, but truthfully I haven’t used it in more than 10 years. I am not a commercial farmer. i grow for the pot and to get exercise, so I don’t need glyphosphate, but many, perhaps most commercial farmers need this herbicide, since cheap labour is no longer available.

  27. re Some of our kidney disease may be genetic. I know of one family that has lost members over 3 generations to kidney disease before the age of 55. Very likely genetic.

    VERY TRUE SIMPLE
THERE WERE TWO BROTHERS WHO ATTENDED HC IN MY TIME SO AFFLICTED

THIS IS Congenital cystic disease of the kidney– VERY GENETIC SIMPLE. IT IS AUTOSOMAL DOMINANT
    HEREDITARY, PKD1, PKD2
    FOLLOWS AUTOSOMAL DOMINANT PEDIGREE
    COMPLEX GENETICS
    RENAL FAILURE in 50’s

IT MAY PRESENT AUTOSOMAL RECESSIVE IN CHILDREN
KIDNEYS LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE ADULT TYPE
    PKHD1
PATIENTS WHO SURVIVE CHILDHOOD OFTEN DEVELOP HEPATIC FIBROSIS

WE HAVE A LOT OF NEPHROTIC SYNDROME WITH

    MASSIVE PROTEINURIA
    HYPOALBUMINEMIA
    EDEMA
    LIPIDEMIA/LIPIDURIA
    NUMEROUS CAUSES:
    MEMBRANOUS, MINIMAL CHANGE, FOCAL SEGMTL.

SECONDARY TO DIABETES, LUPUS AND DRUGS

WE HAVE A LOT OF FOCAL SEGMENTAL GLOMERULO-SCLEROSIS
THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH HIV, Heroine, Sickle Cell, Obesity AND IS THE Most common cause of ADULT nephrotic syndrome

WHAT ABOUT ANALGESIC NEPHROPATHY DUE TO ASPIRIN, TYLENOL, AND OTHER NSAIDS

AND THERE IS MALIGNANT NEPHROSCLEROSIS (i.e., malignant hypertension) associated with rapidly progressive hypertension (1-2% of HTN) VASCULAR DAMAGE & SIGNIFICANT LUMENAL NARROWING

THE ABOVE ARE COMMON CAUSES OF SERIOUS KIDNEY DISEASE SEEN AMONG US LONG BEFORE THE ADVENT OF ROUNDUPI

Questions for GP: Is the consumption of large amounts of alcohol, and of cigarette smoking likely to induce kidney disease?

@GPNovember 8, 2019 3:33 PM “SECONDARY TO DIABETES, LUPUS AND DRUGS.”

When you say drugs, do you mean prescribed medicines? Over the counter medicines? Illegal drugs?

    All of the above?

    Some?

    None?

How about pregnancy and kidney disease? Can pregnancy “stress” the kidneys and induce temporary or permanent kidney damage?

  32. Q Is the consumption of large amounts of alcohol, and of cigarette smoking likely to induce kidney disease?

A SMOKING AFFECTS THE LUNGS ALCOHOL, THE LIVER

Q When you say drugs, do you mean prescribed medicines? Over the counter medicines? Illegal drugs?

A All of the above? YES ANY DRUG THAT IS ELIMINATED BY THE KIDNEYS MIGHT AFFECT THE KIDNEYS

Q Can pregnancy “stress” the kidneys and induce temporary or permanent kidney damage?
A PREGNANCY IS NORMAL. IN PREGNANCY THE GOOD LORD HAS DESIGNED THE FEMALE BODY TO ADAPT ITS PHYSIOLOGY TO THIS STATE IN A MOST WONDROUS WAY.
I HAVE NEVER READ ANYTHING ANYWHERE THAT SUGGESTS THAT pregnancy “stress” the kidneys and induce temporary or permanent kidney damage

  34. Significant kidney disease increase also noticed in the USA After the introduction of Roundup and GM crops.

Just another of those amazing coincidence, no doubt – sort of like the amazing coincidences in the videos I posted earlier that shortly after receiving HPV vaccine jabs some previously healthy HPV vaccine recipients suddenly died (and not in traffic accidents or by falling down stairs) and others developed symptoms of severe neurological damage or exhibited other chronic ill health conditions, even though this was entirely unrelated to any effect from the HPV vaccine – just write it off as another of the amazing coincidences of our crazy, crazy world. (As some of the victims were told by their medical authorities.)

Dramatic Increase in Kidney Disease in the US and Abroad Linked To Roundup (Glyphosate) ‘weedkiller’

This information, while shocking to many who still consider glyphosate herbicide and the GM food produced with it to be relatively non-toxic, is not surprising to those who have been tracking the published research on glyphosate’s wide ranging harmful effects, and which now shows a link between glyphosate and several dozen health conditions. You can view the first-hand toxicological citations here: Adverse Health Effects of Glyphosate Formulations (Go to source for a hyperlink /GM)

    snip

.A series of graphs based on data from the USDA, National Cancer Institutes, Centers for Disease Control, have recently surfaced, depicting at steep rise in the rates of kidney disease in the US from the time of the introduction of glyphosate and GM food, reveals that the US may also be suffering from an epidemic of glyphosate-linked kidney damage.

The first graph below depicts the ‘Age Adjusted Acute Renal Failure Deaths’ in the US from 1981 to 2009 plotted against the percentage of GE soy and corn planted, and the tonnage of glyphosate applied to corn and soy, showing death rates more than doubling over the past 30 year period. (Go to source to view the various graphs /GM)

    snip of various graphs

The implications of this data are highly concerning. The steady increase in acute and chronic kidney disease in the US population dovetails so closely with the increased use (and therefore human exposure) to glyphosate and glyphosate contaminated food, that it is hard to write off the correlation as coincidence.

    Remain steadfast my friend.
You may learn a lot from having high quality and consistent opposition. Study their lines of attack and be slow and wise in providing a response.

There is a silent majority that follow these exchanges so keep your bowling tight, no long hops or loose balls.
