Who is Quantum Energy and are they new beneficial owners of the Cahill Waste To Energy idea. Who owns the Garbage in Barbados? …

Kammie Holder (posted to Request to Remove CAHILL blog 2018)

At some point on Day 3 during the just concluded Barbados Labour Party (BLP) Annual Conference, Prime Minister Mia Mottley referenced that the controversial Cahill agreement may potentially cost taxpayers millions. It seems the agreement was crafted to permit the transfer of ownership to other parties who have signaled to the government there is a high expectation said agreement must be honoured.

The Cahill matter is near and dear to the BU blogmaster because Barbados Underground played a small part in the dissemination of confidential documents that exposed the less than transparent manner then Democratic Labour Party (DLP) government consummated the agreement with Clare Cowan and Cahill Energy Barbados.

Another reason: in the Upper Chamber of Parliament then leader of government business Maxine McClean and Verla De Peiza (now leader of the Democratic Labour Party) described BU blogmaster as a traitor for posting Cahill confidential documents which exposed the DLP Cabinet as less than transparent with the electorate of Barbados. Some will say the electorate is enjoying having the last word given the result of the May 2018 general election. The blogmaster respectfully disagrees.

It is long passed the time to satisfy public expectation to hold public officials accountable. If there is a whiff of evidence the stink of malfeasance permeates, we must move to a stage where elected officials pay the price. In Barbados former ministers et al routinely transition to private sector to benefit from rotten seeds planted while in government. Why should ordinary citizens be expected to tighten the belt and others be allowed to go scot free all the Rh time?

There will be a price to pay if social justice issues are not factored into the way we manage our affairs. Especially during this period of austerity we are struggling to negotiate. It is ordinary people who have seen retirement investments in government securities negatively devalued, ordinary citizens have seen fees charged rather than interest credited to savings accounts at financial institutions. In the interest of all that is good we must not allow members of the political class to conspire with the economic class to the detriment of ordinary people.

How on God’s earth the people of Barbados- taxpayers, will remain silent to the pronouncement by the prime minister of Barbados  Barbados stands to lose millions because of the Cahill “frustrated contract”?

What manner of people are we to allow a class of  people to continually rub the brown stuff in our faces and every where?

    @ Northern

No embellishment by me against the gentleman Lloyd Braithwaite.

I was among his inner circle and dated for a short while a young lady that was involved with Lloyd from 15 whilst at Secondary school.

She was offered as much as a $1000 to commit the act with the animal of which is one his KNOWN fetish.

I don’t make claims about anyone maliciously without first hand KNOWLEDGE.

I do not take likely to calling Mia Mottley a Rogue in works. But pay close attention as her works unfold and you will see a distinct pattern that will lead you to question where her true loyalties lie. Now, the whole of Barbados knows that the most unjust, crooked, lying period in the history of Barbados took place under that two face hypocrite call Stuart and his bunch of Crookers and Crookets. This was the greatest uncertainty and the most miserable time in leadership ever felt by Barbadians and the truth be told, it was evident.
Now as much as the SSS criticises the Rogue Mia for being a Rogue Mottley, the SSS does not have a problem giving her credit where it is due. She has done in the 15 months since taking up office what the Dumbass Lying Party could not do in 10 years. She made the sacrifices and stabilised the economy. What the SSS does not like about Mottley is that she is just as much a hypocrite as Freundel, the only difference being that she has flair and a lot of optics to go along with her fancy speeches. Take note that early in her Prime Ministerial role, she spoke to the people. Take note that as she becomes seasoned in that role, she is speaking less and accounting even lesser.
Did she not built her campaign on the Stuart lies and things done in the night? Yes (not that she had too because the writing was already on the wall for the DLP). Did she not write a report as chairman of the Publics Accounts Committee concerning inappropriate financial conduct regarding a housing project that brought Kellman and others in the DLP into the spotlight? Yes. Did she not lambasted the DLP for their lack of transparency and accountability, promising to do far better than them in that department? Yes.
What you need to understand is that she was truthful and honest right up the moment that her dream became a reality. When she became PM, the focus shifted from investigating all the touted financial irregularities of the DLP administration to her own personal interest. I mean she was excited, I doubt very much that she slept that night. History was made twice. First, as the first female PM, and second, as the first party to ever win all seats in the House of Assembly. Quite an achievement. As far as she is concerned now, the need to investigate the DLP has lost its lustre and drive. The DLP is history and she is the new reality. Her reality was to take care of a few personal interests first. And, as we can see, those interests were well-taken care and we have today a growing justification for all Barbadians to accept the BLP’s version of ”Acceptable Nepotism.”
Take note also and you will see that there is a move by this administration to do things that can cause controversy in the open. The psyche of Barbadians, as she is well aware, is to grumble for the first few days, perhaps a week or two then comes the acceptance. So we accepted her tax exemption for those owing taxes for many years; accepted her father’s knighthood under whatever justifications afforded him to receive such an esteem, accepted her new imposed taxes that are more than the taxes place upon Barbadians by the Dumbass Lying Party; accepted her hiring of new hands in spite of telling Barbadians that sacrifices have to be made; accepted her largest cabinet in history for a 11 parish island of only 300,000 inhabitants, accepted her changing of the constitution to accommodate her friends, accepted her high paying press secretary, accepted that she must focus on more important things rather than providing wiggling room for Freedom of Press legislation, proper Anticorruption Legislation, Whistleblower legislation, giving more power to the Auditor General, etc etc. You feeling me on this baje, like my sweet piece would say? Do you understand why I call this woman a Rogue? Before PM, she had all the evidence, after becoming PM, she is waiting on the evidence. What happened to all the evidence show financial misrepresentation, it went through the door the moment that Mia Rogue Works Mottley becamse Prime Minister. The DLP gone clear, Dennis Lowe can enjoy his ill-gotten gains!

    My Sweet Piece

I know I have not spoken to you in a while but as you can see I comment sparsely and come not on here regularly. Before Mia Mottley’s stint as PM comes to an end, I am convinced that she is going to do a lot of shite, a long with the lot of good that is to camouflage all the crafty shite, to keep bajans believing that she is all that Barbados needs to lead them. The scales are tipped to look favourable, but the balance is not on two sides but one.

  7. Oh how the DLP would love certain things they did to magically go away so the can continue to be the DAMM LYING party and continue the lies and deceit that they practiced in the their last two terms. They have learnt nothing from their 30 – 0 DEFEAT.
