The preeminent American historian, Gerald Horne, has argued persuasively that the events of 1776 were not what the preponderance of historical narratives suggest. They were the exact opposite he contends! In more recent times, Professor Horne has bookended his first assertion by further contending that the emergence of a Donald J. Trump was anathema to these imposed and popular historical accounts. This professional historian boldly calls for a truthful rewriting of the entire historical accounts of the United States of north America.

On this 4th of July, American empire fashioned as a counter to the Glorious Revolution of Great Britain (1688-1689) finds itself in existential peril. For alas, it is titularly headed by a Caligula type figure reminiscent of that period in Roman history when a horse (Incitatus) could have been chief counsel to the emperor.

As we watch the descent of this new Rome under Donald J Trump, his family, the people around him – in the cabinet, the Congress, the Supreme Court, the pantomime passing for Democratic Party ‘debates’, the media whores expert at disinformation, other world leaders, the peoples of the world, most importantly the American peoples themselves and judge the interrelationships between and among these forces, it is difficult to avoid a range of obvious conclusions.

Donald Trump does not even project the pretense that he maintains any abiding interest in the day-to-day management of an empire which boasted, for all those years, to be that ‘exceptional’ ‘city on the hill’. It seems pellucid that this Trump is totally satisfied to continue to play the game of faux master marketer/manipulator/negotiator as every domestic and foreign encounter is primarily predicated on the advancement of the ‘family’ business. This is what oligarchy has come to. And everybody now knows that American foreign and domestic policies can be bought and by not necessarily the highest bidder either. Empire has degenerated into no more than a cheap whore! After 40 wars and the deaths of 20 million since WW2 alone, Trump gives us a military parade, dictator-style, at the centre of the blackened heart of empire.

Not even big Don has any illusions about the lack of mental capacity of little Don. So big Don looks to Jerad Kushner, the son-in-law, as brain trust in the White House, but there is no there, there either. And the recent debacle with his Deal of the Century is proof positive. Ivana Trump, we guess, is seen by some as attractive, we presume, but we would be hard-pressed to understand why this empty-header, snotty-nosed, president’s daughter could be made to believe that she has a role rubbing shoulders with the likes of Angela Merkel at the G20, a woman of immense substance, a formidable figure and the political cache to go with it.

There has never been a president who has assembled a cabinet exclusively of oligarchs – millionaires and billionaires; all with very narrow interests. All of whom are using government to enrich themselves, in the light of day. And no institution within the American government can do anything about such decadence. A decadence not dissimilar to the ethos of bulling brought by Obama. There is no time for what use to be called ‘the people’s businesses’. There is not one member of this mafioso-styled Joint Commission (Cabinet) who has any pretense of serving the broader American public. To the contrary, only people who believe that the nature of government is not to serve the masses but the very privileged alone need apply. This is your America of 2019 – ‘the home of the oligarchs, the land of the unfree.’

The most obvious sign of imperial decadence must be the fecklessness of a Congress unable to bring a walking talking lawbreaker to heel. Donald Trump breaks more laws before breakfast than all the criminals in America’s dungeons have for decades. Yet, the so-called checks and balances which were supposed to be hoe and basket of this Congress have been no countermeasure to this normalized culture of high crimes and misdemeanors, even treason, in every government department. Trump makes the criminal Bill Clinton look like a Sunday school choir boy in comparison.

The Supreme Court has historically been the institution to reinforce the thinking of the long-dead slavers – the so-called founding fathers. In trying to understand the future through the eyes of the most regressive human beings of all times they have legislated the most perverse form of fascism in the United States of north America. It is a court at the apex of a system which is deeply political, racist, corporatist and anything but just.

Over the past two (2) weeks we have seen a few ‘public gatherings’ of leading ‘democrats’ that some have referred to as ‘debates’. If we didn’t know better or feared being labeled a ‘conspiracy analyst’ we would have concluded that these congregations were aimed at securing a second term for Trump. These useless Democrats, and the progressives in their ranks, could only approach issues like reparations, universal health care, the demilitarization of the economy and free education for university students when made to stare into the abyss of four (4) more years of Adolf Hitler reborn. Should this backward party of Nancy Pelosi manage to escape this political bullet, normal service will certainly be resumed, immediately. We will continue to see a Democratic Party with its mindless progressives ignoring their most loyal supporters – African Americans. But, they will not! The re-election of Trump will guarantee the present trajectory.

We must remember that Donald Trump is primarily a media creation. They gave Trump the equivalent of four (4) billion dollars in free promotion. Thinking it would have been a win-win as they gamed a Clinton v Trump contest as an easy win for Clinton while they make their billions and still get their Clintons. The defeat of Sanders in the primaries baked-in, of course. Those same media, the so-called progressives, are at it again as they try to impose a Biden on the American people to supposedly erase the Trump legacy from the body politic. Not so fast, to do such to a political system is no different than trying to take the wet out of water. And then we have some other people playing games with the American people. Not even Tulsi Gabbard, Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris, the ‘progressive’ criminal prosecutor, well-known for incarcerating Black people without mercy, or the two or more that are making limited political sense, can redirect the arc of empire from the burning house which MLK so eloquently prophesied.

Other world leaders smell blood and are fixing to consume the carcass of empire. We always find it necessary to remind readers that there is nothing normal about the existence of empires. That during the last century maybe 20 empires collapsed. In fact, empires are inherently unstable and fall all the time. Therefore, China, India, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Germany and other are fielding at first slip, waiting for the edge. How’s that empire!

Some peoples of the world are coming to recognize a new and emerging reality. A lot of people are laughing at America in the same way they laughed at the madman Nero nearing the end of the old Rome. The thinking people of the United States of north America themselves have spent centuries marching; voting; pleading with elected officials; calling congressional offices; being fooled by district, city, state and federal elected officials; letter writing; complaining on call-in programs; investing trust in the democratic and republican parties; relying on a ‘misleadership class’. None of this has worked in avoiding the fascism America has always supported in foreign lands from coming home to ruse. We judge that the American people, unlike the peoples of France or Sudan, who are in open rebellion, are tired, dumb down and lack the will to confront Trumpism in the streets and deliver the real revolution this country never had. Nevertheless, with or without a revolution empire dies anyway. And maybe, just maybe, that’s a good thing.

  1. In cricket any team can be beaten on a given day. When you bowl the correctly perfect ball to a batsmen early in his innings he is very vulnerable and that is what happened today to Rohit and Virat. Those 2 are so good that psychologically it places the entire team into a negative and doubtful mindset. I have been personally involved in such games ie 1974 playing against Bristol, one of the best Bajan teams in that division, who by mid August had won all matches, killed them within half and hour before tea —5 wkts for 4 runs, the previous Sat I had bowled poorly against the same batsmen.

  2. REMINDS ME OF MEGAN KELLY
SHE WAS A STAR ON FOX NEWS TILL SHE ATTACKED TRUMP IN THE FIRST DEBARE IN 2016 AND THEN WENT AFTER THAT EX SPEAKER FELLA
    AFTER THAT………HER STAR PITCHED

    ++++++++++++++

I used to enjoy listening to her on Fox, remember well the time she catspraddled Donna Brazille!!

Also enjoyed the exchange she had with Trump, women and Rosie O’Donnell.

By then I knew Trump was different!!

She wrote a book if I remember right and accused Roger Ailes of harassment.

  3. In the 21st century, the principal job of a British ambassador to Washington DC is to establish personal relationships with White House staff, members of the president’s cabinet, influential members of the two branches of the US legislature, leaders of key federal government agencies, technology-leading corporations, university heads, etc.

The main purpose of these relationships is to gain information snd insights, not available from public sources, that might be useful to the British government in anticipating or influencing US policy decisions, or in establishing wealth-creating partnerships and alliances.

The outgoing ambassador did not seem to be making much headway in these matters. Trump says he didn’t even know him, and the ambassador’s meetings with White House aides were few and far between. The language of the leaked diplomatic cables was largely boilerplate, devoid of inside information.

So this is a tempest in a teapot.

President Trump beamed Tuesday as Qatar signed commercial and military deals worth billions with major U.S. firms at the White House, a tricky partnership that gives the president a potential opening with Iran and more jobs in the battleground state of Ohio.

The leaders of GE Aviation, Boeing, Chevron Phillips, Raytheon and Gulfstream Aerospace inked agreements with officials from Qatar in a brief White House ceremony as the president watched with a grin.

“Even those folders are so beautiful,” quipped Mr. Trump, who has called Qatar’s business ties with the U.S. among the largest in the world.

The deals are part of Qatar’s plans to double its business investment with the U.S. to about $370 billion, said Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir of the small oil-rich Arab nation.

“We trust the economy here,” the emir said.

British Ambassador to US Who Attacked Trump Resigns in Shame
July 10, 2019 by Seth Connell
    Goodbye and good riddance.

British Ambassador to the United States, Kim Darroch, just resigned today. His resignation came only one day after President Donald Trump bashed him for being a “very stupid guy” for escalating tensions between the two countries.

Apparently, some cables by Kim Dorroch were accidentally leaked showing him attacking President Trump. And the embarrassing event forced him to resign from his post.

“The British ambassador to the U.S. [Kim Darroch] resigned on Wednesday, days after leaked cables that criticized President Trump escalated tensions between the two close allies.”
    The report later stated that:

“Kim Darroch’s resignation came one day after Trump bashed him as a ‘very stupid guy’ and ‘pompous fool’ and his tenure became a flashpoint in the race to replace outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May.”
    What an absolute nightmare.

Too many politicians these days get away with murder when it comes to their incompetence. But thankfully, that’s not the case here, since Kim Darroch is getting exactly what he deserves.

You shouldn’t be able to humiliate the sitting president of the United States and cause an international scandal without having to suffer any consequences. That should simply go without saying.

Honestly, I think a resignation is the best thing that could have happ

Last week Boris Johnson delivered a speech to a Royal Horticultural Society audience in Wisley, Surrey, before heading to the affluent village of Oxshott to buy some fennel and tarragon sausages and have a cup of tea in the Munch and Wiggles cafe. In a series of interviews later that day, he was unwilling to reveal the provenance of the staged photograph of him and his partner, Carrie Symonds.

He was, however, able to insist that Britain would leave the European Union, “do or die”, by the end of October.

On the same day, the Sutton Trust and the Social Mobility Commission issued a report into elitism in Britain that “paints a picture of a country whose power structures are dominated by a narrow section of the population [where] social mobility is low and not improving”.

Those who went to private school comprise 7 per cent of the country’s population but 39 per cent of the elite; those who went to Oxford or Cambridge university comprise less than 1 per cent of the population but 24 per cent of the elite. Senior judges, junior ministers, permanent secretaries and diplomats are among the least representative professions. But the media, and particularly newspaper columnists, are right up there, too.

There is a clear and undeniable link between the entrenched and calcifying class stratification in British society and the inept chaos in which we currently find ourselves. The gene puddle from which the elite siphons its ranks has become shallow and fetid. Those who make the laws in government, oversee the civil service that will implement them, adjudicate on them in court or assess them in newspapers, are drawn from such a narrow social layer that they might as well be the same person.

Even when they do not form a majority, their critical mass is such that they set the tone, define the culture and shape the parameters for what is institutionally permissible.

Do they really hate job creators and people who do well so much that they’re willing take away all incentives to earn more cash? It sure seems that way.

Enter soon-to-be thrice failed presidential candidate Joe Biden, who says his first act as POTUS would be to repeal the Trump tax cuts.

Biden actually said this would be the “first thing” he’d do, to great applause from an audience that would see their taxes go up if the former vice president really were to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).
Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), a right-leaning advocacy group run by Grover Norquist, wrote that repealing the TCJA would “impose a large tax increase on the American people.”

“Thanks to the tax cuts, a typical family of four earning the median family income of $73,000 saw a tax cut of over $2,000 – a 58% reduction in federal taxes. Democrats At A Loss For Words With Growing Economy

Democrats are always looking for ways to slam President Trump any way they can. It seems they may be running out of options sooner than later. President Trump has done more for this country in less than one term than any other president in our lifetime. He has almost completed the turn around from the corrupt government from previous administrations. But don’t question a Democrat! They are always looking for excuses as to how they claim they are better than everyone else in the office. All they are doing now is exposing their own corruption.

June’s report has recently come in at a whopping 224,000 net jobs. This is including the 17,000 manufacturing jobs created. Unemployment has declined to four percent, which is the lowest rate in history. Job creation is the strongest it has ever been. Wages are rising, and the economy is barreling through. The Trump-era has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, this president is truly what he says he is, and Democrats are staggering to find a way to stop him. That is the funny part, they cannot stop him. The Trump train is coming through as the economy is soaring and continues to rise in its June report.

The Democrats who are in the office and those who are trying to gain the primary seat cannot touch this topic. They avoid it at all cost because they know they cannot top it or say anything negative about the economy. It would expose them further.

Through deregulation and tax reform, he has proven to all, whether they admit it or not, President Trump is the right man for the job. So what do the Democrats do? They lie and bring about false information. Just last week the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried to pull this stunt when she had to shut up real quick. She tried to back up her party by stating, “The economy is being hollowed out to enrich big corporations & the wealthiest one percent.” Maybe, Pelosi needs to check her data because it is completely false. There is nothing anywhere to back this statement up, and she was called out on it Friday. She tried to use a link to back up her statement, but all it had was a generic list of Democratic press statements. Care to take a guess from which press? That is correct, CNN.

Pelosi tried to throw in the trade deals, but that did not work either because the economy is still growing at a rapid rate. The trade deals will be resolved, and when it is, it will put the Democrats at a complete loss of words because they will not be able to explain the massive explosion of the economy. This is what Democrats fear the most because they will have nothing left to work with when it comes to their poor pathetic excuses. All the Democrats on the stage for the primaries were humiliated when they had to explain the economy. No one can fix what is not broken and working very well. In the end, all of their lies were exposed, and Pelosi had a front-row seat to witness it. I hope she had her popcorn!

Senator Elizabeth Warren tried her best and gave it her best shot but failed miserably. She stated, “The Trump economy was booming for a thinner and thinner slice at the top, and that its chief beneficiaries are people who want to invest in private prisons and drug and oil companies.” The data proved her statements completely false. The job growth is the strongest it has ever been and among the highest-income careers. Among the lowest-income jobs, wage growth is at its highest. Even the unskilled professions are skyrocketing.

Senator Kamala Harris stole a line from AOC, “Low unemployment numbers merely hide the unpleasant fact that Americans are working two and three jobs. In our America, no one should have to work more than one job to have a roof over their head and food on the table.” This statement is also false. The facts show from 2018, only about 300,000, which is only .2 percent of Americans work two full-time jobs. The numbers are slightly more for those working full time plus a part-time job or two part-time jobs is only 5.1 percent.

Democrats are hoping the economy crashes, so they can quit making excuses. As long as President Trump is in charge of the American Trump Train, it will not fail.

  22. Ok agree that the democrats seems to spinning its wheels in deep mud
Also agree that at present the democrats has been unable to find any constitutional law that would support impeaching Trump
Also would say that so far the democrats help from Msnbc and CNN has not bear satisfactory fruit and makes more like democrats wasteful use of taxpayers money trying to find a shadow
However Trump obnoxious behaviour as President is one which cannot be overlooked or swept under a rug
Even today Trump use of using derogatory statements against ethics groups should lend for a bi-partisan committe on ethics holding Trump accountable for any comments he has said against these group of people
His ranting of telling a group of ethic woman who are all members of govt that they should fix their countries before trying to fix America problems is beyond meanspirted all laced with a ethic derogatory remarks which Trump should be held accountable in a public forum

Donald Trump has a decades-long track record of racism that includes everything from calling for the execution of innocent teenagers to breaking fair housing law. This fact about him drifts on and off the news agenda, but he put it squarely back on over the weekend with a few tweets that exhorted four new Democratic members of Congress to “go back” to the “corrupt” countries they are from.
Three of the four were born in the United States, and the fourth, Rep. Ilhan Omar, left Somalia when she was 6 and settled in the United States when she was 10.

The tweets prompted a firestorm of criticism, which, in turn, led to Trump trying to narrow the focus on Omar specifically in Monday afternoon remarks to the press while also saying that accusations of racism don’t bother him “because many people agree with me.”
The larger context for this is that the four members Trump is talking about were in the midst of a fight with House leaders over border funding, a conflict that’s really just the latest battle in an ongoing feud between the two sides. Trump seems to have started weighing in on this subject primarily in hopes of intensifying the feuding, but did so in such a clumsy manner as to be extremely helpful in encouraging Democrats to patch things up.
At the same time, while his blundering and uncouth behavior seems to have put a fairly low ceiling on his approval ratings, Democrats have reason to worry. When Trump orients American politics around racial conflict, it’s a setting fundamentally favorable to the GOP.

    Donald Trump versus “the Squad”
In June 2018, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shocked the political world by beating incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in a primary. Crowley was a pillar of the House Democratic leadership operation and had been widely seen as the most likely successor to the current troika of near-octogenarians — Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Steny Hoyer (D-MD), and James Clyburn (D-SC) — who sit atop the leadership hierarchy.
Upon taking office, AOC has formed an informal alliance with Reps. Omar and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who won open seats in Minnesota and Detroit, and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who knocked off a progressive incumbent Democrat in a primary challenge that, unlike AOC versus Crowley, did not actually have much clear ideological content at the time. These four women of color are all very left-wing, represent very safe seats, are on the younger side for Congress, and have gotten enmeshed in a multifaceted dispute with House leadership.
That fight was on one level about supplemental border security funding, but on another level, it’s about a persistent sense that the Squad’s high media visibility is a threat to the reelection efforts of the much larger crop of first-term lawmakers who won previously GOP-held seats.
On yet another level, it’s about the fact that AOC and some of her staff have close ties the Justice Democrats, a group that is mounting a primary challenge to Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar and threatening several other incumbent Democrats. But regardless of the specific ins and outs of the controversy, the spat had become pretty all-around embarrassing, with back-and-forth accusations of racism and procedural criticisms drowning out the actual policy content.
Trump likes to needle his opponents and doesn’t seem particularly interested in the governance of the United States, so it’s natural that he would tweet about the controversy.
And his main idea seems to have been to echo an argument that Tucker Carlson made the previous week specifically about Omar — that it’s dangerous for the United States to accept into its midst refugees who grow up to be critical of aspects of American culture rather than grateful cheerleaders for it.

In this view, the “good” kind of refugee would be someone like the Cuban exiles or Vietnamese “boat people” who fled communism in a Cold War context and then tended to become Republicans and foreign policy hawks, in contrast to Muslim refugees (or perhaps Central American asylum seekers) who are not politically reliable.
Trump is not as deft at threading these kinds of race-baiting needles as Carlson and just lumped Omar together with Tlaib (who was born in Michigan to a Palestinian immigrant family), AOC (born in New York to a family from Puerto Rico, which is part of the United States), and Pressley (who was born in Ohio and whose family has likely been in the United States for considerably longer than the Trumps).

Suggesting that people of color are not “really” American is a classic racist trope and one that is very much not new to Trump. He gained prominence as a political figure specifically by leading a years-long movement to deny Barack Obama’s status as a natural-born citizen of the United States. Obama, however, at least had a bona fide immigrant father and really did spend time abroad as a child. Three of the four Squad members grew up entirely in the United States, and two of them don’t have any immigrant parents. Trump is just castigating them as foreign because he says racist stuff.

Trump is healing the Democratic breach
As Philip Klein, executive editor of the Washington Examiner, observed on Sunday, one consequence of Trump’s racism is to provide House Democrats with a convenient means to extricate themselves from the infighting.

More broadly, before anyone gets too deep into the hot takes about Trump’s strategic use of racial provocation, it’s worth emphasizing that his current approval rating of roughly 43 percent is not very good.
Trump is, at this point in his presidency, less popular than Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, John F. Kennedy, Dwight Eisenhower, or Harry Truman was at a comparable time during their terms in office. During a time of healthy economic growth and few US military casualties, Trump’s unique approach to the presidency is generating “better than Jimmy Carter” approval numbers — which is not very good.
All that said, Trump has achieved success in a range of endeavors in life primarily through the display of low cunning and a taste for scams, and there is arguably a kind of method to the madness here. A good Trump/racism controversy is catnip for the media and irresistible to the most geared-up kind of online activists and Democratic staffers even at a time when sober strategic calculus tends to say that Democrats should be trying to downplay the topic of racial conflict in order to win key swing states that have disproportionately large non-college white populations.

White people are a majority of the electorate
As it happens, right before this controversy broke out, I was on vacation in Maine.
Maine is the whitest state in the union and a state where Democrats won a gubernatorial election in 2018 after eight years under the governorship of Paul LePage, who was very much a proto-Trump figure. While up there, I talked to someone deeply involved in the state party who predicted that Trump’s path to victory was to say racist stuff, then have Democrats call him a racist, and then watch white people conclude that Trump — a racist, after all — had their back.
Arguments about the minimum wage or rolling back fuel efficiency standards or even identity-related issues focused on abortion or LGBTQ rights are more comfortable terrain for many Democrats for basic mathematical reasons. Most Americans aren’t rich. Most Americans these days aren’t highly observant Christians. Big political conflicts about these topics position Democrats are defending the interests of the majority group against the GOP’s support for a minority group. Arguments about race and racism do the reverse — most American voters are white, and for that reason, Democrats have traditionally tried to reduce the salience of racial conflict in American politics.
Much of Trump’s politics is essentially dedicated to making that kind of deracialization strategy untenable, with actions and rhetoric that are so inflammatory that they inescapably push racial conflict to the top of the agenda.
As a political strategy, this is a lot worse than something more traditional like “adopt popular policies.” But to the extent that Trump is fundamentally unwilling to address the swirling financial conflicts of interest that have marked his administration from the beginning or to address the Republican Party’s unpopular policy commitments on taxes and health care, you can understand provoking racial conflict as a potentially viable fallback strategy.

Mr Blogmaster, u posted a quite long piece (two really) that surely tells us that it’s politics as usual where the elite bamboozle the masses!

The Brit piece in the main recaps what is well known and too the US Post reminds us that POTUS uses the WH bully pulpit to advance his political electoral successes in the most blatant of campaigning efforts…

What he says is echoed daily across the US in schools where kids tell others to go back home and worst; in work places and of course in the streets.

We don’t expect this behaviour from the President but he wants to win by any means necessary and plumbs the depths of political incorrectnes to achieve those goals.

His approval ratings remain strong among his supporters so the question is whether his remarks galvanize more folks to vote for his opponent or more for him!

Let’s see if things love after Mueller speaks and the Dems work to invoke from him apture sound bites to reinforce some of the most damaging aspects of report…. currently this man is the new model of the Teflon Don!

NATO Allies Spent $100 Billion After Trump Pressure

President Trump is being touted for a major foreign policy win that the mainstream media will likely keep hidden. After pressure on our NATO allies spending increased by $100 billion according to John Bolton.

WASHINGTON — National Security Adviser John Bolton said Tuesday that an increase in defense spending from NATO allies, after pressure from President Trump, marked a significant victory for the United States and made the alliance stronger.

“The statistics that the NATO secretary general has given us indicate that the Trump push, and that’s what it is, to get NATO members to spend more has resulted in, based on his calculation, over the past two years in $100 billion more being spent by our European allies on defense,” he said. “This is an unequaled triumph and I would argue it makes NATO stronger and that’s exactly what we should be doing.”

Bolton spoke at the National Conservatism Conference in Washington, in a wide-ranging question-and-answer session on topics spanning U.S. foreign policy, sovereignty and national borders.

Arguing that an “America First” policy can lead to stronger results abroad, he pointed to Trump’s repeated public calls for NATO members to meet their commitment to spend at least 2 percent of their GDP on defense. The U.S spends approximately 3.5 percent.

When the NATO SecretaryGeneral Jens Stoltenberg addressed Congress he stated that the message by Trump was making a difference in NATO funding from member countries.

Support For Trump Rises Among Republicans After Attacks on ‘The Squad’ Featured
Written by Reuters Wire | Source: TheFederalistpapers | July 17, 2019 08:08 AM

Support for President Donald Trump increased slightly among Republicans after he lashed out on Twitter over the weekend in an attack on four Democratic congresswomen, a Reuters/Ipsos public opinion poll shows.

The national survey, conducted on Monday and Tuesday after Trump told the lawmakers they should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came,” showed his net approval among members of his Republican Party rose by 5 percentage points to 72%, compared with a similar poll that ran last week.

Trump, who is seeking re-election next year, has lost support, however, with Democrats and independents since the Sunday tweetstorm.

Among independents, about three out of 10 said they approved of Trump, down from four out of 10 a week ago. His net approval – the percentage who approve minus the percentage who disapprove – dropped by 2 points among Democrats in the poll.

Trump’s overall approval remained unchanged over the past week. According to the poll, 41% of the U.S. public said they approved of his performance in office, while 55% disapproved.

The results showed strong Republican backing for Trump as the Democratic-led U.S. House of Representatives passed a symbolic resolution on Tuesday, largely along party lines, to condemn him for “racist comments” against the four Democratic lawmakers..

While Democrats and some independents may see clear signs of racial intolerance woven throughout Trump’s tweets, Republicans are hearing a different message, said Vincent Hutchings, a political science and African-American studies professor at the University of Michigan.

“To Republicans, Trump is simply saying: ‘Hey, if you don’t like America, you can leave,” Hutchings said. “That is not at all controversial. If you already support Trump, then it’s very easy to interpret his comments that way.”

By criticizing liberal members of the House, Trump is “doing exactly what Republicans want him to do,” Hutchings said. “He’s taking on groups that they oppose.”

Breaking: President Trump Deals Another Blow To ‘The Squad’ And Pelosi
BY MAGA STUDENT JULY 17, 2019

President Trump is adding more salt to the wounds of the Democrats.

Trump on Sunday ripped Nancy Pelosi’s Party for supporting the radical “Squad” members and took note of her being ruled “out of order.”

“So great to see how unified the Republican Party was on today’s vote concerning statements I made about four Democrat Congresswomen. If you really want to see statements, look at the horrible things they said about our Country, Israel, and much more. They are now the top, most…,“….visible members of the House Democrats, who are now wedded to this bitterness and hate. The Republican vote was 187-4. Wow! Also, this was the first time since 1984 that the Speaker of the House was ruled Out of Order and broke the Rules of the House. Quite a day!”

Pelosi may not know this, but “The Squad” is the kiss of death.

Iran says it will re-enter talks with U.S. if sanctions lifted and 2015 deal reinstated
July 15, 2019 by Jen Krausz

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in televised remarks on Sunday that Iran is ready to talk with the U.S. about its nuclear activities if the U.S. lifts sanctions and returns to the 2015 deal that it left in 2018, the Daily Mail reported.

The sanctions President Donald Trump placed on Iran in April and May have prevented Iran from selling its oil to other countries. The inability to sell its main export has had a major impact on its economy.

Iran has responded to the sanctions by attacking oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and shooting down an unmanned U.S. drone, which almost earned it airstrikes from the U.S. in retaliation.

Iran also announced recently that it has been enriching uranium at higher levels than allowed in the 2015 agreement, which is still in effect with several European countries.

    Trump’s Strategy
Trump’s main foreign policy strategy is to impose sanctions or tariffs to get what he wants from them, whether it is help with immigration from Mexico or a fair tariff structure from Canada, China and others.

While this strategy has worked with Mexico and Canada, other countries, like Iran, have been less cooperative. It is admittedly difficult to get countries to act against what they believe to be their best interests.

Iran needs to sell its oil if it doesn’t want its people to suffer, but it doesn’t want to give up the chance of eventually getting nuclear weapons that it feels it needs to protect itself. Or to wage war on its enemies, which is what the U.S. and other nations fear.

Because of this, Trump is applying as much pressure as he can to try to force Iran to the table. Iran is signaling that it wants to “make a deal” with Trump, but the conditions Rouhani has put on the possibility seem to be a deal-breaker for any real negotiations to take place.
