Political parties select different colours to allow the public to identify their party and Candidates.  This well-established practise in Barbados avoids confusion.  The party colours of the three political parties that received the most votes in the last general election were: red for the BLP, blue for the DLP, and green for Solutions Barbados.

We have been asked to comment on Atherley’s party, PPfDD, selecting the colour of Solutions Barbados, rather than choose their own separate colour.  Our comments follow.

Solutions Barbados do not think that Atherley and PPfDD have done anything illegal.  They have a right to select any colour they wish, including red and blue.  However, while their action may be legal, it is highly unethical.  It is also highly deceptive since their action can only confuse the public when they are trying to identify candidates.

Their actions are particularly disturbing since they claim to be morally and ethically superior to the BLP and DLP.  If they were a party of rebels, then this type of unethical behaviour would be expected.  But they claim to be a party of God, with several pastors among them who know that doing what is ethical, is more important that satisfying a legal standard.  They have started very badly.

According to Atherley, the PPfDD formed about seven months ago.  Why did they not spend that time creating a separate identity?  Why attempt to deceive the public, while prominently claiming God as a supporter?  They must know that God is not the author of confusion, so why are they trying to confuse the public?

The Bible describes satan as a deceiver, and the god of this world.  The PPfDD are invited to confirm which god they are serving, by either repenting, or stubbornly continuing with their deception.  They should know that their unethical behaviour is entirely consistent with that of the other fellow.

    Why don’t you stop trying to validate the assessment that “Piece the Legend” has correctly made of you?

    Why this volte-faced turnaround in hypocrisy?

    Your initial position was a total ban on watching porn of any kind unless an application to engage in such ‘sinfully’ evil activity was approved by your moral police watching in cyberspace with you as the commander-in-chief.

    You never applied a ‘filter’ to your papal bull(shit).

    Why would any one in their right mind request approval from your moral police to visit porn-sites showing minors in any form?

    Don’t you know that such acts are illegal and participating in such pedophilic activities will certainly attract the attention of the international police?

    You would have had a ‘strong’ case if you had argued that the local internet service providers must block access to all sites which display minors in any sexual activity.

    Put the onus on those ‘greedy’ companies with the technology to do it; not on sinners and sickos.

    Such a bold move will certainly put the likes of Pornville Inniss out of business for life even if having to spend it in some jail.

    Pornography is peddled by the corrupt and by those in its grasp as normal and satisfactory food. Many writers seem to take delight in polluting the atmosphere with it. There is a link between pornography and the low, sexual drives and perversions. We live in a culture, which venerates the orgasm, streaking, trading wives, and similar crazes.

    It is ridiculous to imply that pornography has no effect. There is a definite relationship to crime. Murder, robbery, rape, prostitution, and commercialized vice are fed on this immorality. Sex crime statistics seem to reflect a relationship between crime and Pornography

    We live in a permissive world, but we must make certain we do not become a part of that permissive world, that degenerate world. We are shocked at the depths to which many people of this world go to assert their freedom. We fear that the trends of permissiveness toward immorality are destroying the moral fabric of our generation. Every form of homosexuality is sin.     Virtue is akin to holiness, an attribute of godliness. Portrayals of sexual perversion, violence, and bestiality become increasingly available for those who succumb to their lures. As this happens, religious activities are likely to become less attractive because the two do not mix any more than oil and water mix.

    I had to go back 2 years ago to confirm that we stated our concern of children watching other children being raped, and we did. The catalyst being children being allowed to use cell phones in school. We had linked it to sex slavery. BU commentators requested the source of the research and it was provided, which included children in the sex slave industry.

    Even if persons were unclear, we gave them no excuse with our subsequent publications, which are provided below. The first was our Emancipation Day Message from 2 years ago (2017).     Emancipation Day Message

    The various demands on our time do not allow us to reflect on significant historical events. That is why we, as a nation, have decided that this event is significant enough to generally shut-down the country to give Barbadians a whole day to reflect.

    We are generally a nation of former slaves and indentured servants who were forcibly brought to Barbados, and who were eventually freed from servitude. That is the historical fact that we should remember. However, we are not given a whole day to remember historical facts, but rather, to reflect on its relevance to us, our family and community.

    Perhaps the most relevant aspect of Emancipation is for us to maintain freedom from enslavement for ourselves and our children. We are to continuously fight ‘battles’ to maintain our freedom so that our children either do not have to, or so that they can learn to do so more effectively. Therefore, we should periodically consider whether we or our children have been gradually enslaved by anything, and then battle for our and their liberation. Emancipation Day is the formal day for that reflection.

    The obvious current slaver that has enslaved both us and our children is pornography. In a moment of sheer lunacy, we have provided our children with tablets and smart phones with Internet access, where they can watch other children being raped repeatedly, while we do nothing. Our unwillingness to engage in this battle on behalf of our children and those being raped is unconscionable.

    Why are we actively desensitising our children to the violent rape of other children. The answer is obvious. It is because we are enslaved by pornography, and are willing to sacrifice the next generation of Barbadians in order that we can maintain our perverse addiction. On this Emancipation Day, we should, of all people, be the most ashamed.

    It is time to free our children from the bondage that we have purposely placed them in, for the sole reason of us selfishly maintaining our dangerous addiction. It is time for us to seriously consider the harm that we are deliberately inflicting on the emotional development of our children. It is time for us to stop justifying our misguided ‘right’ to view children being raped, long enough to see the hopeless enslavement of the victims that we are facilitating.

    It is time for us to stop our meaningless debates of why so many youth are acting irresponsibly and actually start to do something about it. Shari Veronica of Naked Departure fame has given up on Barbadians, partly because of our eagerness to sacrifice our children to this modern slavery. We appear to have lost all empathy for our children, and our actions demonstrate that we simply do not care. We are incapable of fighting this emancipation battle for them because we have chosen not to liberate ourselves, but to wallow in the proverbial mud in the pursuit of pleasure.

    When children are damned by their parents, and when parents are so enslaved by pornography that they cannot even see the damage that they are inflicting upon their children, then we, as a nation desperately need help. Hold on Barbados. Help is on the way.

    A thin flimsy straw to buttress a weak argument. As Cain was the first born of Adam and Eve, 3rd person on the planet, it is doubtful that the ‘semitic’ culture would be established at that time.

    LAWS GOVERNED THE INHERITANCE OF BIRTH RIGHT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT?

    Several customs and traditions of the Hebrews are related to this question, namely, patriarchal government, primogeniture,(first born Right of Inheritance) .The patriarchs in the Old Testament times usually governed their families directly—their wives, sons, unmarried daughters, families of the sons, and so on. When the father died, he was succeeded as head of the family by a son.

    So that there would be no disputation as to which son would succeed the father, the practice of primogeniture, or the law of the firstborn, developed. (Prime means “first”; geniture has to do with birth.) Upon the death of the father, the firstborn (eldest) son became the new head of the family. As this was his right because of the order of his birth, he was referred to as the birthright son (see Gen. 43:33).
