Jackie is hurt, and an angry woman. And because of the way things operate in Barbados, she has made up her mind that she will not go down in silence like all others who have had their lands ”illegally” taken from under their feet. However, I have to agree with you. If she keeps on bringing the same message, eventually the real message and purpose of her activism will be lost. Jackie, it is ok to respond to what comments you do not like on social media and seek to expose the wrongs, but you have to be careful that in seeking to rage war against the establishment, you lose the main battle of your fight due to repetition and stagnation. I hope you understand what I mean by stagnation.

  2. Since Jackie open the Pandora Box the smug look that George Payne had on his ugly face people see as embarassment
He might belive that May 24th helped to restore faith in him because of a win
However what has mostly revealed as Jackie rake his name across social media is that George Payne is a shameless gutter rat and not a person who can be trusted.
Jackie does have her work cut out for her no doubt
Hopefully she would consider writing a book tItled the deeds and misdeeds of Barbados justice system
Highlited with George Payne face splashed on the cover

  3. What Stewart is doing makes for good theatre for the gallery. However given the establishment system we have in Barbados those being accused will be able to withstand accusations being tossed because they can easily brush them off as accusations. It does not mean she does not have a legitimate grievance.

  4. David in your mind you the political speckled yard fowl u are would see Stuart issue/problems as theatre
You can also add the way the judicial system of Barbados treated the Stuarts accusations as theatre and a glaring right to protect the high and mighty against the protection of those seeking justice by having fair and balance justice for the victim
Say what u like about Stuart’s approach towards resolution
Her voice has given a sound to those who were denied justice not to be fearful

  5. Not Stuart, Stewart. Get it right.

  6. Getting her name correct yardfowl is not the bigger picture
The bigger pictures lies in the scarilous allegations level against George Payne and govt lead by PM Mottley who rewards George Payne within a ministry of land and housing
Now get off your fence speckled fowl and insert yourself into a convetsation that would see Payne rightfully received justice because of an injustice he did to the Stewarts

  7. Not Stuart, Stewart. Get it right.(Quot e)

    How petty. This is bullying.

  8. What goes on in the teenage brain?
When I was an undergraduate 25 years ago, we knew nothing about how the human brain develops. I was taught that the brain is fully mature by mid-childhood. Since then, we have developed MRI scanning that allows us to look inside the living human brain and track how it functions in terms of structure and activity across the lifespan. We now have a rich, detailed picture of how the human brain develops, and what it shows is that what I was learning in my textbooks was completely wrong. The brain continues to develop through childhood and adolescence and even into the 20s and 30s in some brain regions. White matter increases, grey matter decreases. These changes are thought to be caused by important neurodevelopmental processes that enable the brain to be moulded and influenced by the environment.(Quote)

Is teenage crime a result of biological changes?

    ASSTIN

DO MRI’S SHOW THAT THERE IS MUSCLE TISSUE IN THE BRAIN AS PART OF THEIR STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION

DO MRI’S SHOW THAT NEURAL TISSUE UNDERGOES DYSPLASIA TO MUSCLE TISSUE

RE Is teenage crime a result of biological changes?
NO! teenage crime resultS FROM INHERITING THE SIN NATURE AS CLEARLY TAUGHT IN ROMANS 5

I JOHN 1: 8 POINTS OUT If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

NOTE NO SIN REFERS TO HAVING THE SIN NATURE , AND MUST BE DISTINGUISHED FROM I JOHN 1:10 WHICH STATES If we say that we have not sinned I.E COMMITTED ACTS OF SIN

WE ALL COMMIT ACTS OF SIN ( ROMANS 3:23) BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE THE SIN NATURE

Psalms 51:5 TEACHES CLEARLY “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”

@Hal. There are so many dynamic variables at play in crime and violence . Neurobiological development is just as important as the social environment in my opinion. Especially, the effect of the natural and socio- economic environment on brain development and the associated behavioral changes in the individual.

The perpetrators and victims of violent crimes are overwhelming from the population subset of youthful male, why is that these violent behaviors tend to diminished with time? What kind of engineering is happening in the brain to illicit such change.

  11. @ Fortymules,

I know nothing about neuro-biology and the new discipline of neuro-criminology. But I do know a bit about crime, which is largely a youthful social phenomenon (mainly male). People grow out of crime..
There is a book by Professor Sarah-Jane Blakemore (Google her), which I have not yet read, but have seen the reviews – Inventing Ourselves: The Secret Life of the Teenage Brain – which has been well received, especially among criminologists.
There is now a serious discussion about decriminalising youthful anti-social behaviour. But as I have said, violent crime is different – victims and perpetrators are often known to each other. One myth about violent crime is that of stranger danger.
I had a friend who was a lawyer at one of the Magic Circle firms in the City of London and we used to entertain each other every time there was a violent crime. We used to anticipate the official views: all meant to reassure the public – arresting the usual suspects; it is a one-off; etc. That is why until recently the UK press used to ignore domestic violence, what the French call Crime Passionnel.
Violent crime, especially by teenagers, is different to other forms such as burglaries, drug dealing, fraud, etc. Most murders are not intended, thus the charge of manslaughter. Gang murders (execution) get the publicity for obvious reasons.

When you say he was 29, do you mean he was 29 years old OR THE 29TH MURDER?

  19. age 29

  20. If murder was being committed at the same rate in Trinidad, we would have passed 42 murders by today.
Let’s hope that our citizens continue to exercise common and we are still well below that number by the end of the year.

    Wishing you well, Barbados.
