President Trump is working practically 24/7 at draining the “Washington Cesspool”, but the “Cesspool” is desperately fighting for its survival! It seems that nothing is off limits or too low for the occupants of the “Cesspool” to do or say as they try to save themselves:
Nancy Pelosi is leading the Democrat’s charge against the current tax cuts. She calls them “crumbs for the middle class while the corporations get richer”. The Democrats and the MSM are refusing to acknowledge that the take home pay for practically everyone working in America increased as soon as the tax cuts went into effect, and the Labor Participation Rate in America is at a record high level, including for women and minorities.
The Democrats and the MSM are screaming about President Trump’s new tariffs and how they are going to cost so much damage to America’s workforce. They are ignoring the fact that other countries have been literally ripping America off with unfair trade deals that were negotiated by previous administrations, especially the Obama Administration.
An example was Canada charging tariffs up to 275% on American dairy products. America had an $817,000,000,000 trade deficit last year. To quote President Trump, “that is Billion with a B”!

The Democrats and the MSM are all insisting that “the polls” show that President Trump is dramatically losing support among his base because “people are still struggling to make ends meet even though he has been in office for a year and a half”. Based on everything I see, hear and read this is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE!
As noted above the occupants of the “Washington Cesspool” and the MSM will say and do anything to try and convince people that everything President Trump does is bad for America and the world.
Real world facts prove them wrong. In previous articles I have written about how much commercial growth I am seeing in my area of the state. The same is happening in other areas. Last Saturday I drove down I-75 south of Atlanta for about 30 miles. I had not been down I-75 for about a year. I was literally astonished to see how much commercial development was happening in that 30 mile drive! As I drove by all this new commercial development south of Atlanta I had the same thought that I did the first time I drove by the two huge industrial parks being developed on South Fulton Parkway west of Atlanta. That was, “where are all these companies going to find the people they will need to fill all the new jobs they are creating”? It will be interesting to see how the Democrats and MSM continue to negatively “spin” this growth!
President Trump is very different from previous Presidents. He speaks, tweets and acts dramatically different from previous Presidents, and he is steadily generating positive results for America here and abroad. However he does still need all the help he can get from those of us who want to see him succeed in his efforts to “Make America Great Again”.

GROWING THE ECONOMY TO NEW HEIGHTS: The American economy continues its strong growth under President Donald J. Trump, with GDP growth reaching 4.1% in the second quarter.
With GDP growth reaching 4.1% in Q2 of 2018, it’s clear that President Trump is delivering on his promise to revitalize the American economy.
GDP growth is one of the most important economic indicators and shows that America is continuing to grow more and more prosperous under President Trump.
Average annual growth has been a strong 2.8% over the past four quarters.
During President Obama’s 8 years in office, GDP growth averaged just 1.9%.
If our current pace continues, we are on track to see the economy grow over the course of a calendar year by more than 3% for the first time in 13 years.
DEFYING THE CRITICS: Under President Trump, the economy is achieving the kind of growth critics derided as unrealistic.
The Administration has long maintained that implementing the President’s pro-growth economic agenda would lead to at least 3% growth, a prediction met and exceeded in Q2.
GDP is now on track for 3.1% growth in 2018, a level of growth that was previously dismissed by the media and economic “experts” as unrealistic.
Larry Summers, said 3% annual growth was “fair enough if you believe in tooth-fairies.”
The Los Angeles Times’ Michael Hiltzik called 3% annual growth a “pipe dream.”
Recent growth stands in stark contrast to the absurd claim by Paul Krugman in 2016 that President Trump’s Presidency would lead to a “global recession.”

President Trump’s historic tax cuts and deregulation have been key in making higher economic growth possible.

Why didn’t FBI tell court about Christopher Steele bias?

There has been bitter debate about the release of a heavily-redacted version of the FBI’s application for a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant to wiretap onetime Trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page. The debate centers on whether the FBI gave the FISA court judges enough information to assess the anti-Trump motives of the people behind the Steele dossier.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., set off the argument last February, with the release of the so-called Nunes memo. In the memo, Nunes wrote, “Neither the initial application in October 2016, nor any of the renewals, disclose or reference the role of the DNC, Clinton campaign, or any party/campaign in funding Steele’s efforts.”
The release last weekend of blacked-out copies of the original application and three renewals confirmed Nunes’ description; the documents did not mention the DNC or Clinton campaign’s role in funding Steele. Nevertheless, defenders of the FBI’s actions in this case argued that even if the FBI did not specifically include the words “Clinton campaign” or “DNC,” the bureau fully informed the court that the people involved with the dossier had a political motive against candidate Donald Trump. To support their position, defenders pointed to a multi-paragraph footnote in the FISA application that contained this sentence: “The FBI speculates that the identified U.S. person was likely looking for information that could be used to discredit Candidate #1’s campaign.”
The “identified U.S. person” referred to Glenn Simpson, the Fusion GPS opposition researcher who recruited former British spy Christopher Steele to search for Russia-related dirt on Trump, who is referred to as “Candidate #1” in the application.
“The FBI gave the court enough information to evaluate Steele’s credibility,” former Justice Department official David Kris wrote on Lawfare. “The footnote disclosing Steele’s possible bias takes up more than a full page in the applications, so there is literally no way the FISA court could have missed it.”
But the footnote did not, in fact, disclose Steele’s possible bias. It disclosed Simpson’s possible bias. The FBI’s disclosure of bias — “The FBI speculates” — referred specifically to the “identified U.S. person” who might have wanted to discredit the Trump campaign. That was Simpson, not Steele.
Indeed, a close reading of both the FISA application and the Nunes memo raises questions about whether the FBI told the judges anything about Steele’s possible bias — even though the bureau had evidence that the former spy was out to get Trump.
In the initial and later applications, the FBI did not even hint that Steele, referred to as “Source #1” in the application, was biased against Trump. In fact, on more than one occasion, the FBI presented Steele, who had worked with the FBI in the world soccer corruption investigation a few years earlier, as a reliable source with no marks against his credibility.
“Source #1’s reporting has been corroborated and used in criminal proceedings and the FBI assesses Source #1 to be reliable,” the FBI wrote. “Source #1 has been compensated [REDACTED] by the FBI and the FBI is unaware of any derogatory information pertaining to Source #1.”
In another part of the footnote, the FBI said Simpson “never advised Source #1 as to the motivation behind the research into Candidate #1’s ties to Russia,” suggesting Steele had no idea that his employers were trying to stop Trump.
In yet another part of the footnote, the bureau said “the FBI believes Source #1’s reporting herein to be credible.”
The problem for the FBI is this: The initial FISA application containing those footnotes was filed in October 2016. In the previous month, September, Steele told Justice Department official Bruce Ohr that he, Steele, was “desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president,” according to Ohr’s account quoted in the Nunes memo. At the time of applying for the warrant, the Justice Department knew about Steele’s “desperate” and “passionate” anti-Trumpism, but did not tell the court.
“This clear evidence of Steele’s bias was recorded by Ohr at the time and subsequently in official FBI files — but not reflected in any of the Page FISA applications,” Nunes wrote.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, corroborated Nunes’ point, writing on Jan. 24, 2018, that Ohr “noted…that Mr. Steele was ‘desperate’ to see that Mr. Trump was not elected president. None of the information provided by Mr. Ohr in his interviews with the FBI was included in the FISA renewal applications.”
It is generally accepted that evidence of a source’s bias, including the source’s own acknowledgment of it, should be disclosed in warrant applications that are predicated on that source. The FBI simply did not do that in Steele’s case.
But perhaps the bureau, when it filed the first application in October, did not know what Steele had said to Ohr just the month before. Perhaps. The problem is, the FBI also failed to include the information in any of the later renewal applications, in January, April, and June of 2017.
The later applications did inform the court of problems with Steele. The FBI expected that Steele, as a trusted (and paid) source, would not share his findings with the press. Yet that is what Steele did in September and October before the election, when he discussed his work with reporters from the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, New Yorker, Yahoo, and Mother Jones — and then falsely denied that he had.
In subsequent renewal applications, the FBI informed the court that it had suspended, and then ended, its relationship with Steele. But the bureau argued that Steele was still a reliable source, because he broke his agreement and lied after he gave the FBI the information included in the warrant application.
There might be one cautionary note here. In one of the footnotes in which the FBI vouched for Steele’s reliability, the bureau put it this way: “Notwithstanding Source #1’s reason for conducting the research into Candidate #1’s ties to Russia, based on Source #1’s previous reporting history with the FBI, whereby Source #1 provided reliable information to the FBI, the FBI believes Source #1’s reporting herein to be credible.” What does the “notwithstanding” clause mean? Does it mean the FBI did include information on Steele’s “reason for conducting the research” somewhere in the FISA application that it is simply blacked out? That is, perhaps, possible, but there is no indication from the application or any of the other testimony and evidence in the case — certainly not from Nunes’ and Grassley’s accounts — to suggest that the FBI did.
In addition to Steele’s “desperate” and “passionate” comments, there are other reports the FBI knew the former British spy had an anti-Trump agenda. In the book Russian Roulette, authors Michael Isikoff and David Corn — both of whom were briefed by Steele about his findings during the campaign — reported the FBI was aware of Steele’s anti-Trump motivations.
FBI officials “knew from the outset that Steele had an agenda and that he was likely working for the Democrats,” Isikoff and Corn wrote. “But this was not a deal breaker, according to one senior official who reviewed Steele’s report at the time. FBI agents were used to receiving intelligence from informants with agendas or grudges.”
The issue, of course, as far as the FISA application was concerned, was whether the FBI shared that knowledge with the court.
In another passage, Isikoff and Corn wrote: “As FBI officials saw it, Steele seemed more interested in getting the story out rather than quietly working with them on the investigation. ‘There was clearly an agenda on his part,’ one senior FBI official later said.”
So to conclude: The FBI based a substantial part of its warrant application on Steele’s work. Steele had a strong and clear anti-Trump bias. The FBI knew about it. The bureau should have informed the court. And it did not.

“You really want the big picture?” Bremmer asked before continuing. “This has been a good week for Trump. We get out of CNN Land for just a second, and 4-percent growth in the United States. The Europeans backed down on trade; he now looks like a winner on that front. The North Koreans? More progress with remains coming back.”
“The stuff about Michael Cohen — I mean, is he credible? He was Trump’s lawyer. If you’re a Trump supporter, this is just blah, blah, blah,” he added.
“Now, the Helsinki stuff was really bad for Trump and he had to walk it back and the Republicans were hitting him pretty hard for a day, and now he’s basically said, ‘OK, I’m not going to do the summit this year, after all. I’m not going to recognize Crimea as a part of Russia.’ Nothing actually happened,” Bremmer concluded.
Bremmer is a political scientist and is president of the Eurasia Group.
As Bremmer stated, despite the release of an unheard and unsavory tape of Trump and Cohen conversing, the president’s week has included getting American remains from the North Korean War back from North Korea and continued economic growth.

Why Trump’s Approval Is Steadily Rising

President Donald Trump is not perfect, but he represents the voice of a cross-section of Americans who have been neglected and mistreated for so long that they had all but given up on being considered first-class citizens.
We’re talking about the working class — you know, the workers — the people Marxism is supposed to care about. Yeah, well, these are the same people who have been mocked and derided as indigent fools, inveterate bigots, and dangerous troglodytes for generations.
But the truth is, the working class, particularly the working class in the fly-over states, these are the people who make America function. There are the builders, the planners, the laborers, the manufacturing workers, the farmers, and the miners. They are 100% essential personnel for this nation to run properly. But the left and academic/Hollywood culture have nothing but disdain for them.
That is unacceptable. These people deserve our respect as much as anyone else does in this nation.
Sadly, this respect has been missing for decades. But Donald Trump has brought it back, and that is why he is in office — because huge numbers of working class-flyover state people saw it and voted for it. Now, America has to deal with it.
But as we have seen, the Democrats are not taking it well.
However, despite all their childish tantrums, Trump’s approval rating holds strong. The working class is telling us something. The America First movement is not going away.

Trump’s Tariffs Could K.O. China’s Economy

So-called “experts” tend to say that no one wins in a trade war. But as Pres. Donald J. Trump takes off the tariff gloves, he could decimate China’s economy.
As the trade war with the Asian heavyweight ramps up, some point to China being the largest economy in the world as reason for anxiety. It’s true that China produced more than $23 trillion in 2017 outpacing No. 2 EU at $19.9 trillion, and third-ranked America at $19.2 trillion. But China has some distinct disadvantages if they choose to go toe-to-toe with Pres. Trump over trade.
The communist country has an over-population problem of 13.8 billion people that weighs on its annual GDP. Consider that with only about a $4 trillion difference, the United States has a mere 327 million citizens. China has a lot of mouths to feed.
Couple that economic stress with the fact that the average Chinese family endures a low standard of living, earning less than $17,000 annually. Americans rank over $59,000 in GDP per capita income. The poor standard of living and wages suffered by the Chinese people under the communist regime has allowed its manufacturing base to export cheap goods. However, lack of wealth among its citizens makes China fragile to economic downturns.
If an American family takes a $5,000 hit, they can tighten their belts and go without. If a Chinese family takes such as loss, they’re thrust into abject poverty. China pays its workers badly and has little economic wiggle room for its citizenry.
China has built its economy through nationalized companies and the mass exportation of cheap goods. The government erected towns and cities around its largely state-owned and poorly operated manufacturing outfits. Businesses in the country earn only a 4.9 percent return on asset investment, while private companies generally run more than 13 percent. The communists also return about 9 percent of their annual GDP into infrastructure, which lags behind the United States.
But the more telling numbers are the reliance on exports. China sent 18 percent of all of its goods to the United States in 2017, causing the U.S. to suffer a $375 billion trade deficit. That unfair trade is driven by Chinese companies stealing intellectual property, imposing unequal tariffs and underpaying workers. Simply put, China is a bad actor.
However, the strength of its export sector is not built on a solid economic foundation. China remains the second largest importer of necessities such as soy, oil and metals. In recent weeks, the debate over China imposing tariffs on U.S. soybeans was brushed off by Pres. Trump. He said simply that American farmers would sell to someone else. There are only so many soybeans in the world, and China in no way has the market cornered.
The other argument that has people running scared is that China holds a majority of U.S. Treasuries. While China does hold 19 percent of all foreign-held notes, already that number is declining from its peak in 2013. America appears to be cleaning up its China-held debt as the trade war escalates.
Communist leadership in China responded to Pres. Trump’s imposing higher steel and aluminum tariffs with a shot of their own. In all likelihood, that was an attempt to save face as the American strongman flexes his economic muscle.
Pres. Trump has worked courteously with China to rein in intellectual property theft and develop equal tariffs or free trade agreements. The Chinese declined, and now it’s time for an international heavyweight trade fight. The President of the United States is prepared to go the distance.
“I’m ready to go to 500. I’m not doing this for politics, I’m doing this to do the right thing for our country,” Trump reportedly said. “We have been ripped off by China for a long time.”
Yes, the president is willing to tariff every Chinese import unless they end their unfair and illegal trade methods. Market experts are already predicting that China will take the loss in an all-out trade brawl.
“If we compare the price action between Chinese equities and U.S. equities (particularly the Russell 2000), it’s pretty clear that the market is discounting the U.S. as a relative winner in the outcome,” Renaissance Macro Research’s Jeffrey deGraff says. “That’s not to say trade wars are bullish, but the S&P 500 has absorbed the threat and even body blows substantially better than China.”
Stocks in China plummeted after Pres. Trump threatened to slap tariffs on all of its exports to the U.S. The Shanghai Composite hit a two-year low on Pres. Trump’ rhetoric alone.
Americans should not get anxious about an imminent trade war with China. If one sentence from Pres. Trump can knock down their economy, hitting $500 billion in goods would prove to be the knockout blow.

Vice President Mike Pence, speaking in an exclusive interview with FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo, credited Trump administration policies and the Republican Congress for reviving the U.S. economy.
In an interview Friday following a report on second-quarter GDP, Pence told Bartiromo that the administration “really believe(s) the internals of these numbers.”
“The policies that President Trump has been advancing, that our Republican Congress has been supporting, are actually working to revive this economy,” Pence added.
So why ignore the astounding improvement and market stimulation? Because it doesn’t fit the Anti-Trump narrative, that’s why!

They said it was impossible to ever achieve a GDP increase of 4% again and they laughed at the thought that Trump thought he could do it. Then he did it anyway and now far left wing Politifact said he didn’t do it anyway.
It all began when Donald Trump talked about the newly released GDP numbers and it showed up at 4.1%. President Trump called it amazing because they all said it couldn’t be done. Along comes PolitiFact to check up on the GDP. But not really the GDP. They went after trumping like a party full of Trump haters and they said while it is true that the GDP reached 4.1 just like the president said, it was false because it isn’t amazing.

Trump is correct about the 4.1 percent growth rate for gross domestic product in the second quarter of 2018. (It’s worth noting that this number could fall, or rise, based on subsequent revisions by government statisticians.)
This is a strong showing in the context of recent history and the highest since the third quarter of 2014. But most economists would not use the word “amazing” to describe it.
Quarterly increases of at least 4 percent are not unheard of. That level was reached four times under President Barack Obama, including heights Trump has not yet reached, such as 4.6 percent (twice) and 5.2 percent (once). On two other occasions, Obama oversaw 3.9 percent growth.
What Politifact failed to mention is that Obama had 32 quarters and that Trump just reached his 6th quarter. Another thing they failed to bring up is that for the first time since 2005, the GDP could rise over 3% for the year. Obama is the only two-term president never to reach 3% for an entire year. Not to mention an expansion of business investments from 1.8% in Obama’s last year. In Trump’s first year, that jumped to 6.3% and this year should come in around 9.2 or 9.4. That’s a huge jump.

The UN Is In Serious Financial Trouble
It is being reported that the UN is hurting for cash. They are calling on member countries to tender their payments or they risk going broke.
