The Clement Payne Movement call upon the Caricom Secretariat to call a meeting of the Caribbean Heads of Government to impress upon Donald Trump, President of the United States of America and to Kim Jong Un, the Democratic Republic of North Korea President, to settle their differences by means of mediation.

The erratic statements by President Donald Trump, which if put into practice will cause the most devastation the world will ever know. Because of the borders of the Democratic Republic of North Korea and China, any error by America’s bombing of the Democratic Republic of North Korea could by error, cause collateral damage to the Republic of China

This will then put the two major countries of the world in confrontation with each and bring about annihilation not only of the United States and to the Chinese Republic but of all of Eastern Asia and North America among others.

The Caribbean Heads of Government need to make a serious approach to the United States of America and the United Nations Security Council to stop any further advancement by the US, the most powerful nuclear power in the world, from starting this war; either by action or a response to the Democratic Republic of North Korea infantile action.

    Now that the shock has worn off from the FBI’s pre-dawn raid of the home of Donald Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort, it’s time to figure what it means in terms of the next steps in the Trump-Russia investigation. The initial Washington Post report merely revealed that FBI agents used the raid to seize documents. But a subsequent report has revealed that the documents in question are likely the kind that will send Manafort to prison if he doesn’t flip on Trump.

    After the initial WaPo report about the raid, the New York Times published a followup piece of its own (link). Down in the sixth paragraph is the key takeaway: “The warrant, demanding tax and foreign banking records, suggests that investigators are looking at criminal charges related to the federal Bank Secrecy Act, which requires Americans to report their foreign banking accounts.” This tells us what Mueller is really going after here.

    While Manafort essentially admitted his guilt when he retroactively registered as a paid foreign agent, it’s never been clear how much legal leverage this particular crime gives Robert Mueller. Rarely is anyone prosecuted for violating the FARA act, as it’s essentially just a failure to file paperwork. But now that we know Mueller is pursuing Manafort for the Bank Secrecy Act, that’s a whole different ballgame. Violating that law points to all kinds of underlying financial crimes – and so this raid points to Mueller bringing serious criminal charges against Manafort.”

    A lawsuit contending that President Donald Trump’s business dealings with and in foreign countries violate the Constitution is set to get a public airing in October in a New York federal courtroom.

    U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels issued an order Wednesday setting oral arguments for Oct. 18 on a suit the liberal watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington filed in January. The suit argues that Trump’s business ties run afoul of the Constitution’s foreign emoluments clause, which bars federal officials from receiving benefits from foreign governments.

    The Justice Department’s final response brief in the case is due Sept. 22.

    Daniels took over the case last month after Judge Ronnie Abrams recused herself, apparently because her husband accepted a job as a prosecutor on the staff of Robert Mueller, the special counsel probing alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Abrams is an Obama appointee. Daniels is a Clinton appointee.

    The suit is one of about half a dozen lawsuits targeting income Trump derives from foreign sources. One of those additional cases is pending before Daniels. The other are before federal courts in Washington, D.C., Greenbelt, Maryland, and West Palm Beach, Florida.”

    Anti-fascist vigilantes are naming and shaming the white supremacists which converged on Charlottesville in the hope of causing them to lose their jobs.

    The efforts to identify the far-right protesters who engaged in violent clashes with anti-fascists over the weekend have already been successful and one of the far-right protesters is believed to have been sacked by his employer.

    Gregg Davis, a Missouri resident, shared a Facebook post asking people to identify demonstrators at the far-right rally. The viral post, which has now been shared more than 219 thousand times, included close up images from the torch march that culminated in violence.

    Each photograph plainly asks: “Do you know me? Are you my employer? I was at the Nazi Rally at Charlotte, VA”.

    A Twitter account dubbed “Yes, You’re a racist”, which has made a name for exposing white nationalists in the past, has also called for anyone who recognises the men in the photos to out them publicly on social media or send anonymous tips.

    “If you recognise any of the Nazis marching in Charlottesville, send me their names/profiles and I’ll make them famous,” asks the post.

    Cole White, a protester pictured on the account, has since been sacked from his job at a restaurant in Berkeley, California.

    “Effective Saturday 12th August, Cole White no longer works at Top Dog. The actions of those in Charlottesville are not supported by Top Dog,” the company told the Daily News Sunday. “We believe in individual freedom, and voluntary association for everyone.”

    The account has also named a number of the other torch-carrying far-right extremists, publishing their addresses, places of employment and universities.

    Clashes between white supremacists and anti-fascists engulfed Charlottesville over the weekend. Two policemen died in a helicopter crash while taking part in efforts to restore peace to the area and a 32-year-old women named as Heather Heyer was killed after a car ploughed into a group of anti-fascist protesters in a separate incident.

    Twenty-five people were injured in the attack. According to police, James Alex Fields, a 20-year-old from Ohio, has been charged with second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and failure to stop at the scene of an accident that resulted in a death.”

    According to mainstream media

    (a) The US can probably cripple North Korea’s offensive military capabilities with a massive pre-emptive cyber attack.
    (b) Even if the cyber attack fails, there is the possibility of a simultaneous bombing campaign using bunker-busting bombs and non-nuclear missiles to disable North Korea’s command and control systems (Shock and Awe).
    (c) Even if North Korea still manages to fire a few nuclear-tipped missiles, the US can deploy two anti-missile systems in response — the Patriot system and the THAAD system.

    The destruction of a nuclear tipped missile is very unlikely to trigger a nuclear explosion, because nuclear weapons are not “armed” in mid-flight.

    Trump is holding nearly all the cards.

    I am pointing out that the United States can disable North Korea with no nuclear fallout and you tell me my analysis is ridiculous because it is unconscionable.

    There is nothing unconscionable about the use of conventional weapons to disarm a nuclear-armed state.

    And there is nothing unconscionable about the use of nuclear weapons. They have been used before and they represent a technology that is now more than 70 years old. That is two generations. All the men who developed this technology are already dead.

    Moreover, nuclear weapons can cause much fewer casualties than alternative weapons. So the horror that some people have about these weapons can be absurd.

    If you were fighting in World War II and you said the use of tanks is unconscionable, you would be an idiot.

    Understand, folks. Charlottesville was triggered by the aggressive moves by the Left, which decided last year to start tearing down. the statues of Confederate heroes like General Robert E. Lee.

    That’s an easy question. In times of war, it is permissable to attack military targets even if they are surrounded by civilian areas. Nothing particularly controversial about that.

    Carpet bombing civilian areas would be controversial, and technically in violation of international law, but guess what. Both sides did it in World War II and the Americans did it to North Korea during the Korean War.

    Why is the Left taking down Confederate statues? The monuments have been in places of honour for more than a hundred years.

    And not only that. They are taking these statues down in the biggest cities of the South. New Orleans.Atlanta.

    Leave some cultural space for beleaguered white men, who need their own heroes. I am all in favour of transferring Confederate statues to special Confederate cemeteries in places like Baltimore, which is an overwhelmingly black city in an increasingly black state — Maryland. But Louisiana and Georgia are white Southern states.

    Don’t ask for trouble and then scream “Nazi!”.

    What are you talking about?

    I looked it up and there is nothing in the Geneva Conventions prohibiting strikes against military targets even if there are incidental civilian casualties. The stipulation is that the civilian casualties should be “proportional” to the value of the military target. But if the target is a missile tipped with a nuclear warhead, there would be justification for huge civilian casualties.

    Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions is actually designed to blame states that locate military targets in civilian areas – something Asian states have done for generations.

    You would have to go to the ICJ for legal ammunition against Trump. But the argument in that case would be that it is illegal to even threaten the use of nuclear weapons unless the very existence of the nation state is threatened.

    Donald Trump’s decision to slash funding to counter right-wing extremism in the US is facing fresh scrutiny in the wake of the Charlottesville violence that left three people dead.

    The US President froze $10 million (£7.7m) of grants destined to fight violent extremism in the US back in May.

    More than 30 organisations had been pegged by former President Barack Obama’s office to receive the funding, but the White House put the grants on hold pending review soon after Mr Trump took office.

    Among those approved were local governments, city police departments, universities and non-profit organisations fighting all forms of violent extremism in the US.

    Former white supremacist Chuck Leek, who has since become a volunteer with Life After Hate – one of the organisations that was due to receive government funding – warned at the time that white supremacy in the US was becoming more active.

    His prediction came true at the weekend when deadly violence broke out between those opposed to the removal of a statue from a local park of Civil War Confederate General Robert E Lee and counter-protesters.”

    On this thread, I see no condemnation of Canada or the UK over their positions on North Korea.

    For example, the Canadian foreign minister said last week that North Korea’s nuclear program is a grave threat to the world, and she pledged full support for the Trump administration.

    Now I would not agree with her at all. Why is North Korea’s nuclear arsenal any more of a threat to the world than the arsenal of Israel, or that of the United States, since both countries have repeatedly engaged in nuclear blackmail.

    So it is not Trump that is the problem. The problem is (a) a widespread fear of nuclear weapons (see Dribbler’s rant above), and (b) the entrenched notion that only some countries are responsible and sophisticated enough to have earned the right to (indefinitely) keep their nuclear arsenals.

    @Chad, those who rant against Kim’s access to nuclear weapons are afraid for the same reasons that they feared Don Trump having access to the codes… or in very simple terms, when they fear any unstable person having control of weapons or devices that can cause destruction/harm….that’s as basic as it gets.

    So let’s put aside all the fancy talk about nuclear blackmail.

    In 2017 you are blatantly inaccurate to label Malcom X a racist … just as it would be blatantly inaccurate to call Senator Robert Byrd a racist as a summary statement of his life achievements.

    Folks here can google their own truth but your painful biased portrayall of facts is disturbing.

    Of course X was very racist as a young adult….as was Byrd well into his career…But both men came to accept the grave errors of that life’s path and just as vehemently then repudiated a racially based existence.

    At their deaths both had by then spoken tirelessly as integrationists not segregratonits….thus to call either of them a racist today is to be ignorant or intentionally trolling for commentary…. you got the latter…hooray, to you.

    BTW, this statue removal thing is WRONG.

    We need to build multiple statutes and monuments to reflect the other aspects of history…let’s get more memorials all around on campuses and cities to the Chaneys, Goodmans, Schwerners; the Birmingham four of Collins, Wesley, Robertson and Denise; to young Emmet Till … and too for those brave folks who invited their killer into their AME church on that recent day in Charleston ….the list is unfortunately Endless….

    Let’s not hide the confederate heros but acclaim their victims of injustice and terrorism…let all history be boldly portrayed.

    This same discussion about old iron statues and racist symbols is also on facebook….ya cant have a damn statue for everything, it’s dumb…there are enough museums across the US with millions of displays already…, racists only understand visuals which triggers their hatred and racism…, remove the triggers, ya get peace.

    If they want to see some symbol of slavery, hatred and racism…let them go in a museum.

    They will never go.., it will bore them, plus they gotta pay.

    But having these ugly, monstrous looking bird shat statues and symbols as a reminder of how evil racists and racism can be and reminding them daily how much money they made enslaving others, killing others and practicing brutality for profit….when all it does is as act as a trigger to incite violence…is beyond stupid.

    Malcolm X was the LEADING official spokesman for the Nation of Islam from about 1955 to 1966.

    The official ideology of the NOI is well known. It is summarized by Wikipedia as follows:

    The original peoples of the world were black. White people are a race of “devils” created by a scientist named Yakub (the Biblical and Qur’anic Jacob) on the Greek island of Patmos.
