  1. A presentation worthy of consideration and further discussion. He appears to be very familiar with the subject. The CEE is a bugbear and should be replaced. Some meet the requirements, too many do not and are doomed unless they have strong support at home or are influenced by some of the traditional social institutions which cater to the youth in particular.I agree that secondary level education should be a balancing act catering to the needs of the society and to the needs of the child with emphasis on the child’s strengths.A paradigm shift in societal attitudes to types of work is a must if one understands that respect is due to an individual irrespective of the choice of work.

CBC LAUNCHES NEW CURRENT AFFAIRS PROGRAMME

The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation has launched a brand new interactive current affairs programme.

Walter-Point-Two is a two hour long radio show on Q 100.7FM hosted by Walter Maloney and Walter Blackman on Sundays from 11 to 1.

The call in programme is also broadcast live on CBC TV8 and during its pilot programme, Education Minister, Ronald Jones gave the assurance that Government is handling anti social and disruptive behaviour among school children.

Mr. Jones notes that the drop out rate in Barbados for school children remains minimal as structures are in place to adequately address this challenge.

The minister also says Government is thinking about setting up a special institution to house children with issues so they can be rehabilitated.

Great ideas that are in need of implementation.

  4. “We Got a Fuckin‘ Problem”

    By Seymour M. Hersh

Intelligence officials doubted the alleged Sarin gas attack at Khan Sheikhoun. WELT AM SONNTAG presents a chat protocol of a security advisor and an active American soldier on duty at a key base in the region.
This conversation was provided to Seymour Hersh. It is betweeen a security adviser and an active US American soldier on duty on a key operational base about the events in Khan Sheikhoun. We have made abbreviations: American soldier (AS) and Security Advisor (SA). WELT AM SONNTAG is aware of the location of the deployment. For security reasons, certain details of military operations have been omitted.

We wish David would allow these kinds of headlines. They are certainly more meaningful than the staid requirement. And by none other than arguably the greatest investigative journalist of our times.

  5. @Pacha

Have no problem with member of the BU family being colloquial but they are those who cannot help but to take it to its most vulgar form.

Chuckle…..damage control…..and at the same time draw the crowd from Sunday brasstacks…….obviously the daily propaganda ones are not working.

  7. If Maloney had a sense of decency he would step down from the Severance Paynents Tribunal and allow the President of the NUPW take his rightful place there.Stinking dems have no understanding of morality.Walter cuss the Stinking Dems and now back in the fold.Who would place confidence in these high poe krits.

  8. Walter x2…lmao.

  9. It is with mixed feelings the BU household welcomes Walter B to the national airwaves. However it is difficult to expect Water B to be able to give unbridled perspectives to compare with those that made him famous on VoB back in the day. What recommends Walter Maloney to the job is beyond the BU household at the moment except to say Walter & Walter gives those selling the program options.
