Northern….corruption is a way of life in the US…inexcusable and vile like anywhere else…there is one difference to Barbados….the DPP and other authorities do not invedtigate and lock up the ministers politicians, minorities, insurance executives, or any of the white collar criminals for their criminals acts….

…..that is the edge the corrupt US has on corrupt Barbados….that separates people who understand there are consequences for their actions from those in Barbados who believe they are untouchable, invincible and protected by politicians and local authorities.

Northern….your ass dont even live in Barbados….so stop whining and coming up with excuses why did you not invest in Barbados 10 years ago when there were no blogs and the environment for doing business was more receptive….you fraud, I can see clearly what ya trying to do…ya think Bajans will starve without your make believe investment…look go way.

And anyway, dont expect any niceties from me unless you look like Justin, that is my latest crush, dont know how long it will last, but it feels just fine.

You are correct, I do not live in Barbados. And while when my children were young, we visited often, they tired of it. So, apart from the odd funeral or meeting, I haven’t spent any length of time there in many years.

And FYI, I did invest directly in Barbados many years ago. In fact that is exactly how I discovered BU. I had a few warm dollars in BHL, so the value of the shares mattered to me. It was when that takeover began that a google search led to BU. It was about money not social issues.

But you are also correct that I do not go “looking to invest” in Bdos. But I can also say, a prime reason why I would not, is the generalized view you espoused of minorities. Who really wants to expose themselves to that shit, unless the opportunity is so profitable you cannot ignore it? And you know such opportunities haven’t existed in years. Just look at the big companies, they have been shedding Barbadian assets, while collecting them elsewhere. Sagicor is clearly focused on the USA. GEL on Latin and South America. The T&T twosome of Massy and Ansa own more Bajan businesses than most others. And one Simpson, who likely has more than all the rest of them put together, is literally ‘all over the place”. Sagicor moved HO to Bermuda, their ads are all over Florida. In B’dos Today this week, one mutual fund manager was crying the blues about the credit rating of the nation which severely limited investment choice.

I don’t offend easily. My wish is you would focus on change by exposing specific improprieties. And agree fully that criminals should be locked up. FYI, if there is one thing I hold against Pres Obama, is how easy he let off the 2007 financial crew, and the bailouts which ensued. How the ass can we clean up shit if we reward the bad actors? I know he was under pressure, and his advisers tended to be liberal thinkers. But he should have hung the bastards out to dry.

And sorry, I don’t look anything like pretty boy. In fact I have never met him or seen him live. But it is hard to find a lady who doesn’t at least like ‘to look at him’ LOL. I prefer Harry’s GF.

Lol…Northern, unless Barbados is cleaned up significantly, it’s useless trying to invest, ya might find ya self victimized. …the minority criminals on the island know exactly who they are, we have called names on here until we are tired, it does not mean because you are a minority if ya returned to Barbados you will be welcomed into their tight little circle unless you hookup, with money talking loudly you may be allowed to hookup, but it will just be the same cycle of corruption etc…..and it gets tiresome to explain…..

Again…it’s a well organized..very tight circle, they have refined criminality to an art form and locked and control the judiciary and certain parts of government. ..sewn it up tight….again, the criminal element in the minorty population knows who they are, but to keep them on their feet because most of them have the same rotten mentality and disrespect for the majority, without whom they will not survive, will have to run from Barbados and act like real people instead of the pretensive asses they now are…i dont let them forget it…..so ya see Northern, it’s not and never was about you…lol

I lived in North America a really long time so it’s easy for me to give them hell.

Trust me, you would have to be there to understand the complexity, white people who have seen it could not believe their eyes…it’s not about hating minorites, has nothing to do with hating anyone because too may blacks, politicia ministers etc are also involved..it only comes across as that because of the frustration in tryig to untangle the decades old mess.

BHL is recent, only last year that dude did the insider trading there….good luck.

  4. BHL = Banks Holdings Limited. same BHL?

It is fine to be frustrated, acceptably human. But since you are not a politician to my knowledge, incitement for the sake of incitement and innuendo is dangerous.

Like myself, you probably don’t give a shit about too much. These House of Cards relationships usually tumble down eventually.

Northern….and why should I not give a shit, any particular reason, if you dont stand for something you stand for nothing.

Because you are not part of the majority negatively affected by the corruption, the negatively compromised judiciary, the disparity and unbalance in wealth distribution on the island, the stealing from taxpayers and dont see it necessary to say anything but would happily allow it.to and enjoy seeing it continue for another 30 years, because it’s your minority people enjoying the benefits of corruption and theft. ……..does not mean I have to follow your bullshit lead, I was never a weakling or a mindless follower.

All that shit you just said, were the same things to happen to you where you are at right now, with all the civil rights available to you, you would be among the first to be holding your placards up high in the streets and loudly, vehemently protesting, so dont come on here with your hypocrite ass projecting that it’s only the black majority people in Barbados being affected….so it does not matter….if they wait…the minority crooks and criminals fattening themselves off their backs will tumble…I take that bullshit as an insult to my intelligence.

That’s why I call yall names because after ya get your fat asses filled through corruption with the help of the slaves in parliament through disenfranchising the majority people then you up and die, you leave the legacy of corruption for your children to continue and enjoy……..continuing the cycle of disenfranchisement of the majority aided and abetted by the new cycle of slaves in parliament, because neither yours nor the mentalities of the new slaves changed……an unbreakable cycle….but it will be broken….

…….so any ideas you have of joining the pit of corruption because it may be starting to look attractive and profitable to you because the majority blacks seem vulnerable, be aware that your name will be called….. ask Clare Cowan and Del Mastros.

You got some nerve though Northern…ya full of shit.

LOL…you crank up too easily. I meant “don’t give a shit about what others think of me/you or my/your opinions”.

Corruption is wrong. Benefit accrues to those who offer incentives and those who accept them, at the cost to those who do not engage at either end. The challenge becomes creating a system where they are neither offered, requested nor accepted.

It makes no difference what the religion, ethnicity, skin colour, or sex of those involved are.

If the goal is to end corruption, what value is it to intentionally divide the players between anything but corrupt and not corrupt. Is that person accepting or requesting or offering or paying; any less or more guilty than the other? Does their religion, ethnicity, skin colour, or sex make one more or less guilty?

Your stated goal to end corruption I agree with. However, I cannot see how you can build consensus within the “not corrupt” citizens, by intentionally dividing them along racial lines.

  7. Chuckle…..

    ………………………………………………………………………..

This has been pointed out ad nauseam to some on BU,who seem to praise MLK in one breath and forget his dictum of…….judging a person by their intellect and not the colour of their skin…..in the other breath.

Northern….wrong…my stated goal is to educate Bajans to what is really going on around them, 80% of the population don’t know, they are lost, just like you are….many went to their graves not knowing the gravity of the schemes and scams practiced against then and at least 1.5 generations of people.

It’s the job of the government ministers to end the corruption…not mine, they are the ones, enabling, colluding with their corrupters and practicing corruption….we are just exposing what we know.

You have this thing turned upside down and trying to over analyze and be flippant and still getting it wrong. …give yaself a break.

I apologize for my mis-statement of your goal. It was not intentional. Education is an excellent thing, and I applaud any person who seeks to enlighten their fellow citizens. Knowledge remains the only instrument of production which is not subject to diminishing returns.

Accepted Northern, honest mistake, the exposure of corruption between minorities, who know who they are and government ministers will continue until there is change, the die is already cast, we have come too far to turn back now.

Because of the destructive nature of corruption….any help on your part is appreciated, for the good of both groups, minorities and majority population residing on the island.
