Does anybody know what are the returns to the Taxpayer from GOB ownership of Hilton Hotel?
Hasn’t the government used the argument that the same reason the hotel management agreement is confidential between Hilton and government so too the Sandals should be?

The question should be..,,,.., does GOB still own Hilton Hotel, I been hearing the last 2 years that they dont anymore, but it is not confirmed….everything secretive, so something is dirty.
“The other approach is one in which the hotelier constructs the hotel and receives tax concessions from the ‘host State’ in return.
Both these are Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in which risk and reward are shared.
I have never seen any kind of sustained public reporting on the performance of these hotels in T&T, so I remain sceptical as to just what are the tangible returns to the public purse, beyond the employment of nationals.”
No wonder Maloney and Inniss are so desperate to start the Hyatt scam, they can be secretive about the agreements and withhold documents which could result in million dollar cost overruns to taxpayers going down the road during the refurbishment phase….and the taxpayers will never know what they are paying for. .It’s always in the concessions.
We all know there are no benefits to the people or island outside of a few jobs.
I stayed in the Trinidad Hyatt soon after it was built…what an experience.
