In the same way the Muslims trek to the Mecca to pay homage to Allah so too local politicians fly to New York to build their brand. Last weekend Friends of the D.L.P Association Inc in New York hosted ‘Festival Day’ (Bajan Day) and look who a BU correspondent spotted. It appears that a good time was had by all.

She is going to be soooo impressed with her Minister of Education and will probably want to emulate the esteemed gentleman. What an inspiration to every school aged child in this fair land. Can you imagine what we would be discussing here tonight if perchance the sitting minister was female? (No snide comments now). Is this really the pinnacle of education in Barbados? Is this what we want proudly display to the world on our fiftieth year of independence ?

Two fully clothed consenting adults having a little fun. However not everything that is said and done by consenting adults is suitable for 12 year old children.
I am sure that for example you do not show your 12 year old daughter (or son) when you are making love to their mother. I am certain that you close your bedroom door. And yet there is nothing wrong with the love making of consenting adults.
It is an old fashioned Bajan virtue that we know time and place.

The public schools, as I have been trying to tell you people for a while now, are just short of a chaotic mess. If you think the primary schools are bad, the secondary schools are much worse. There are many factors causing this, poor teaching attitudes and methods being only part of the problem. Of course, unruly children coming from poor parenting homes is another. I have little faith in our educational system and basically home school my child after school. When mathematics is taught by the giving of three examples with NO HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS for reinforcement and Integrated Science is taught by notes and no practical experimentation or even demonstration I laugh whenever the STEM talk is bandied about by the authorities. Children without resources are DOOMED. As George Griffith recently stated – this is only the beginning of the chaos.
Regarding those videos, I am glad I don’t have any daughters. It seems like the men are no longer interested in seeing their faces. Women have taken many steps backwards over recent years and are now quite content to be viewed as mere sex objects to be exploited by men. My son will know that sex is a part of what makes a woman desirable and valuable. He, as I have done will stand outside of what passes for Barbadian culture since it engages not the brain but the ass.
