It looks as though it’s only government ministers in Barbados have no respect for their auditor general’s report, the DPP has no respect fir the judges, the insurance companies and business people have no respect for the authorities or the courts….none of the business people have any respect for the leaders of government, starting with the prime minister….how did all of these parasites reach this place where none of them have respect for the very people, the taxpayers who pays them a salary, or have no respect for the institutions.
That is a question the leaders should ask themselves.
Unless we get new prisons built, with accommodations suitable for successful businessmen, no judge or magistrate is likely to jail a banker, an insurance or real estate executive, or a politician. We need your, David Cameron.

A critical period for T&T is approaching: will the govt and the nation allow the COLMAN CLICO/HCU findings to be covered up and hidden away with no action taken, or will there be a new dawn in T&T where the govt of the day and the people act against those who almost brought down the financial system of this nation and caused us to shell out more than $25 billion, still unpaid. Even worse, there is a new set of corruption arising from that $25 billion bailout since no one knows the exact amount (stunning!) and no one knows who, where, when, how that money was spent. We, the people, must demand full disclosure, publishing the COLMAN report, and prompt action taken. While many are focusing on the money etc, two major components of this scandal must be penalties for those who betrayed the trust of the people, AND measures implemented to ensure this never happens again. It is a fact that many high-ranking members of all political parties are implicated; also, many financiers and supporters of these parties are involved. Thus, it will not surprise anyone if this report is buried away with the usual "investigations are continuing" and these crooks get away and are free to commit the same or even worse crimes. Will you allow this?

For all your talk, you are yet to highlight the DIRECTORS of CLICO ..who all had a fiduciary responsibility to safeguard the interests of that company and of policy holders.
We all hear about the semi-literate idiot Parris, and of the thieving lawyer Thompson, but was it not the ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY of these Board members to protect the organisation from these idiots and thieves?
One gets the impression that there are too many bigshots involved even for BU to expose them …and to question the role played by EACH AND EVERY one, in the CLICO mess.

Some of them resigned.
What did they know? What actions did they take to protect policy holders? Did they alert authorities? What were their responsibilities?

What is more interesting about the T&T situation is the fact there is Integrity Legislation in place yet they continue struggle with the same issues we see here.

None of the 6 students who started at AAIMS in January 2011 have passed anything.They have all left the premier education at AAIMS. i of these and 1 from the second class and MANY from subsequent classes have been seen at Medical Schools in Guyana.
This is the plain truth– IT CAN NOT BE REFUTED.

From “Alvin the abject clown”. Over two years ago when I was pointing out the relationship between CL Financial and CLICO and the need to hold Duprey responsible, I was called as above. How come so many other names, are now being called, and the need for Lawrence Duprey to be looked at are NOW being brought to the forefront?

Agree with you there is a relationship between the parent CL Financial and Clico Holdings. The challenge we have in Barbados is that we went a different route to T&T. They took a decision to bailout CL Financial. We are tied up with the Court having oversight.
GP…what kind of allergy is currently going around that benadryl gel caps are not working and the misery to ears, throat and nose is stupendous. I heard some people in the Caribbean are experiencing the same misery.
Alvin…ya still dont get it…Lawrence Duprey is in Miami and afraid to go back to Trinidad. Trinidad will deal with him…what you need to worry about is Leroy Parris’ role as chief thief in the missing money from Clico Barbados and the amount of time he should serve in prison for that theft of policyholder’s money. Why are you so worried for Duprey when he knows someone has more than likely assigned a bullet with his nam on ite, he said so himself.

As you might know Benadryl -Diphenhydramine is a first-generation antihistamine mainly used to treat allergies, inter alia. Newer and more effective antihistamines are now available.
Perhaps we are dealing with something much more sinister than just an allergy. It might be a viral or bacterial illness that is affecting the inner ear and the throat via the Eustachian tube, with a severe inflammatory response.
Perhaps we need to culture ear nose and throat swabs and adjust the therapy to suit.
