cahill_flyerA few words to put this project to bed.

Barbadians were told by Ministers Chris Sinckler, Denis Lowe, Prime Minister Stuart and others singing from the same hymn sheet that the Cahill Energy project was the best solution to manage energy from waste (EfW). They peddled the position that plasma gasification is proven technology. What advocates against the Cahill scam have tried to push into their thick skulls is that hitherto there was no plant in the world operating at the same ‘’industrial scale’’ to model the Barbados design. Barbados was being used as a ‘guinea pig’. Luckily for Barbados a relatively small group of Barbadians lead by Kammie Holder of the Future Centre Trust supported by White middleclass Barbados and social media banded together to become strident and effective advocates against the Cahill project.

Why do we opine the Cahill Energy project is dead?

  1. ADM, the owners of the Flour Mill Plant but which is built on Port lands, have been told that if they keep any noise about HardRock Cement, they will be out of Barbados so fast their heads would spin.

  2. Isn’t ADM a Canadian company?

    “ADM Facts

    About ADM

For more than a century, the people of Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) have transformed crops into products that serve the vital needs of a growing world. Today, we’re one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient providers, with more than 32,300 employees serving customers in more than 160 countries. With a global value chain that includes 428 crop procurement locations, 280 ingredient manufacturing facilities, 39 innovation centers and the world’s premier crop transportation network, we connect the harvest to the home, making products for food, animal feed, industrial and energy uses.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, ADM connects crops to markets on six continents. Net sales for the fiscal year 2015 were $67.7 billion.

Seems like the kind of foreign direct investor Barbados would welcome.

Imagine how kicking ADM out would resonate with other potential (and existing) investors.

I guess it is ADM vs BBM

ADM has been around for quite some time. If Bizzy and the gang are trying to get rid of them, it has to be with the help of politicians, but it just re-enforces just how dumb these small island, greedy little small fish are, do you think they can go up against international investors, Bizzy, Cow et al are nobodies outside of Barbados, they will all be reduced to paupers, as they deserve, before they can say….”Lowe, come for a bribe.”

ADM operates a flour mill on the island of Barbados in the Lesser Antilles of the southern Caribbean.

We import wheat and mill it into bakery flour at our facility near the historic capital of Bridgetown, distributing the flour to the neighboring islands of St. Lucia and St. Martin and throughout the Caribbean.

We also are involved in the meat industry in Barbados, importing ADM animal feeds made from soy and corn.

ADM employs more than 40 people in Barbados.

Does Cow, Bizzy and the gang do any type of food processing or manufacturing and exporting of anything to benefit the island or is it just importing and retailing to make a quick buck.

Of course along with contracts from politicians to suck the island dry….do they tap into cash from the larger countries that flows back to Barbados, do they even have that type of intelligence.

In the Nation today the government of Barbados was chided by Sir Henry Fraser for running up an annual rent bill for some $65 Million for office accommodation from private enterprises. No doubt that Bizzy Williams is getting the bulk of that payout from his properties at Haggatt Hall and Bridge Street, the City. Some of these ministries may not be able to fill their pockets through shady construction and service deals, but renting privately owned properties at exorbitant costs, while allowing structurally sound government buildings to fall to bits, clearly demonstrates that there is more than one way to skin the proverbial cat, or the taxpayers of this country, to be more precise.

  9. Is it not a shame how the Magistrates Courts on Coleridge are literally falling apart?

  10. Why don’t they convert the interiors of the old buildings to function as modern offices and preserve the exterior structure as “historic”?

There is more steal in the construction of a completely new building.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is demanding greater international cooperation in returning hundreds of millions of dollars in Nigerian funds hidden abroad. Buhari was elected in March 2015 on an anti-corruption ticket and has pledged to reclaim billions of dollars allegedly lost to dodgy dealings and mismanagement. The West African oil giant has endured decades of endemic corruption, with state funds being secreted abroad by public figures including ex-military ruler Sani Abacha. The late general, who led Nigeria between 1993 and his death in 1998, is suspected of looting up to $5 billion in public funds during his reign. Switzerland recently agreed to return $321 million Abacha had hidden …

It’s said that they had to poison Sani Abachi, to get rid of that greedy lowlife, apparently some leaders believe their only role on the earth is to enrich themselves at the expense of the people, that is until their own greed, catches up with them then it’s the end.
