Evangelist Jonathan Shuttlesworth Delivers from the Pulpit of People’s Cathedral Church

Can you imagine that this piece of garbage spoke at a service for the Grenada Association’s service held at the People’s Cathedral last Sunday. Why I described him as a piece of garbage? My mother attended along with the many Grenadians who reside in Barbados along with the regular congregation. This man an American Pentecostal evangelist was asked to speak, he began his speech telling the congregation how many expensive suits he owns and they were all given to him. Many of these suits costs over $2000.00 (probably US) he told them and the many watches he has been given including a Rolex.

Rival_CrusadeHe continued boasting about the many things he owns all given to him. Then he went on to castigate the Catholic Church at which time many of the members of the Grenada Association got up and walked out. He then started on the government of Barbados. He complained that they have to pay 17% VAT on food, at that time many more association members got up and left. He said to them from the pulpit that it seems he has offended the Grenadians. One woman shouted out “yes you have” as she was leaving.

Many of the regular congregation remained to listen to this parasite. How can anyone with some level of commonsense allow this parasite to come and preach to them??? One question is why didn’t the Bajan congregation get up and leave or tell this parasite to shut up and get from in front their faces?

    Believe want to believe in something. And if he is a white, male, American, Pentecostal, preacher in an expensive suit they like um so.

    i did not attend the service.

    I did not give any money.

    Went to a service once at the People’s Cathedral.

    It was too chaotic for my liking.

    I never went back.

    The ‘good’ reverend SHUTTLEWORTH….. lovely name sounds like Creflo Dollar….. is preserving the FLAME and EMPOWERING FOR CHANGE. Since the Americans are becoming impoverished, He’s shuttling back and forth thru the islands to collect all the change he can get to keep in Escrow for Jesus upon his return for the Sheep therefore he must be well-dressed to impress simple folk.

    Growing up in a colonial Barbados I remember vividly the Revivals and the faith healers all coming to Barbados during the Crop Season when money was flowing or so they were told by the local organizers.Somebody should tell Shuttlesworth that the Crop Season is no more,the stinking Dems manage to get it down to about 15000 ton if so much for 2016 Crop.

    I can find no fault with this man. Do we not love and adore false prophets in Barbados? As recently as last January I stayed in the area of Haggatt Hall and had my ears assaulted on both Sunday mornings that spawned the duration of my visit. This assault came from what can only be described as ”De Bird Hill Nuisance” that boasts as its best known member the infamous pedophile, a convict named Jippy Doyle. That I was more than two houses away and still had to suffer the disturbance and disruption of peaceful rest was most bothersome. Quite frankly I felt even more violated than the little thirteen year old that was made to sacrifice her virginity at that altar of ill repute. Funny thing is that from the sounds I heard the place seemed packed. Lets not even attempt to act surprised for there’s a certain ”honorable” man, cloaked in corruption but washed in the blood of the lamb. He too got nuf nuf followers.

    So easy to criticize the church for what it has become and, what it allows, in the name of righteousness. Nothing more powerful than the hypnotic effect the words Jesus, God, Devil, and Hell has on the minds and hearts of people. Mind boggling that people still allow pastors to stir them in paths that sound ever so righteous only to find out afterward how unrighteous is the way that seems right to these men. You really got to wonder if the Jim Jones, Jimmy Swaggarts, David Koreshes eras of religious yesteryear has not thought people to seek God first and listen to the pastor after. I wonder if all these fancy titles modern day God men aspire to have do not make them wonder why Jesus chose humility rather than titles. You would think that the Sadducees and Pharisees would have taught modern day religious men a thing or two about having mere appearances and forms of Godliness. Stuuuupse same shite still happening again. People cannot see because they are blinded by a good dose of religious doctrine and erroneous teaching. And many are so hungry for the lords money blessing that they are convinced that giving their little will follow the promised blessing, from the pastor, that a lot is one its way. Check how much influence these men of God have over the minds of people. See video.

    You do not have to discuss the errors of a religion. They make it too obvious to be ignored. However, the pentecostal religion has been the religion that is responsible for a lot of erroneous teachings and controversial leaders. That is something that cannot be easily ignored.

    The pentecostal religion believes in tongue speaking. But when they speak their tongues it sounds like an enchantment or dribble. The Pentecostals believe in these things called revivals. That is because many of them grow dead from time to time and need some resuscitation from some super duper preacher. The Pentecostals believe in miracles and faith healings but when a lot of these are investigated they have been found to be untrue and unproven. The Pentecostals believe in walking holy on crop over. Of recent I heard that the walk holy band has had one or two members forgetting that they are to walk holy not gyrate. The Pentecostals believe in walking in faith. So a couple of the churches in America bring snakes for their congregational members to hold and walk true. Unfortunately, a good few of them have been bitten. The Pentecostals believe in their pastors, prophets, bishops, archbishops and other titles of rank. So there is no need to search the scriptures for themselves because the man of God is the mouthpiece of God and must be esteemed. I could list 20 things about the pentecostal religion that just do not make sense. For instance, every single church in the pentecostal religion teaches something different. One Pentecostal teachers prosperity another speaks against it. How do you account for that?

    What is the difference between issues and errors? Or even truth or lies. Are these not determined by what is presented from religious base faiths? The bible says one thing the teachers of religion teaches another in the name of what the bible says. Each religion has its issues that are base on errors in their teaching. To address the issues as it relates to the bible is simply to point out the errors of what others are saying. I do not know, I ain’t no scholar like you. All I know is that there is something seriously wrong with pentecostalism and a lot of what is taught.

    Although I am not in favour of taxing church collections, I am more than in favour of making churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and other places of worship account for all their assets and liabilities.
    The state should establish an ethical investment fund through which all their investments must be channelled and returns will be on a pro rata basis.
    We must stop those who want to make themselves rich by establishing churches and mosques. We must drain the swamp.

    The answer to this kind of behaviour is simple: compel churches, mosques, temples, synagogues, and other places of worship to submit annual audited accounts – even if they are not taxed.
    The monies accounted for will then be handed over to an ethical investment fund and dividends paid out annually to the churches, etc. In this way you would put a halt to the multi-millionaire preachers.

    Passing strange that Jesus admonished his followers to ‘render unto Caesar’ his due …and now our modern churches all accept tax-free status from their modern day ‘Caesars’.

    I must say i saw him hear in South Africa.He is just another prosperity preacher, jumping the gravy train.I must say there is no difference between these oaks and politicians, it is all about manipulation and intimidation and domination.Then the money and power.What they don’t realize the word of God calls this ” witchcraft”That is why so many people fall for it, they are busy with witchcraft, and that controls people.

    God is capable when you tithe? Irene so are you saying God can not do anything if you do not tithe? The prosperity tithing thing has two parts. The first part is the greedy preacher who preach this and then you have most of the time, i do not say all the ones those who hears the prosperity gospel for their own greedy thinking that if they give x God is going to give me Y. Let me make it clear God does not bless you because you give, he blessess because He loves you and you are in Christ. This tithing thing limits God to what you give. You putting God in a box, saying If you give then God will respond. God does need money. He is God! Yes God loves a cheerfull giver, but please read the previous line in the verse, you should not be forced to give , but as you make it out in your heart. These type of preachers preach what the people want to hear. The bible refers to it as their itchy ears. Go read 2 Timothy 4:3-5.
