TerrorismDear David.
I have been thinking about writing this article for over 9 months now and decided to do so motivated by the recent Oval Office […]

speech by US President

Obama which highlighted the problems that they are grappling with and that we, with our fragile tourism based economies, must address.

Previously, I did not write it because of two things – I was unwell, for a while, and then I figured its content was going to attract “attention”.

One section already does its “monitoring” and I have grown accustomed to that but the other section, the Weekes’ detractors, the ones who still chant “man he is the fellow suing CARICOM and the government”, will instantly be drawn to my remarks, like flies to excrement.

In 2006 I sat with a particular officer from an agency which I can’t call its name and outlined one of my patents which deals with “Curbside Threats & IEDs”. That party went straight to a subcommittee of the Department of Homeland Security, made the representation as if it was his own, and every single one of the “threats” in Washington DC was removed in the weeks following.

That was also one of my patents pending, an omnibus, the list continues to grow, yet I am no richer. Hope springs eternal – the pauper’s panacea.

During that mission in 2006, our team met with, and discussed our patented Cross Border Traveller Vetting solutions with the Directors of said US HDS and they subsequently implemented US-Visit (a variant of one of my patents) which is in use at every US Port, up to today, and which for 8 years, the Registrar of the Barbados Courts, can’t get my company a date in court, and have lost the file CV 191 0f 2007.

Keep your eyes on the prize readers, that CV 191 0f 2007 was just the “30 second advertisement”. We have not stopped with that matter as the matter with the Inter American Commission for Human Rights will soon show.

The point that I seek to make about those two patents were rapidly subscribed to, and actualized, because they were “visible” and therefore, for the average mind, as touchable produce, they were easily achievable and were subsequently created.

Which brings me to George Bernard Shaw who said “”I hear you say “Why?” Always “Why?” You see things; and you say “Why?” But I dream things that never were; and I say “Why not?”, This quotation is erroneously attributed to John F Kennedy, born some 60 years after Shaw.

At the same time that our company was promoting those of its patents and patents pending that were “touchable”, I had what was/is a patentable “business process” which, as incredible as it may seem for that time, spoke to the matter at caption “Combatting Homegrown Terrorism” and when I spoke of the imminent issue of what I say as a “homegrown” flavour of this Jihadist John, in the jurisdiction, you can imagine the reception that my prediction and the solution had because:

  1. It not “touchable” for these 1st world citizens and supposed visionaries,
  2. It came from a 3rd world country’s citizen, with a “foreign accent”, speaking about an intangible that “we are the world” Americans can’t see, and furthermore, given that the problem “does not exist”, how can this man know of a way to “diminish” the unknown threat ? and
  3. according to the US officials that I was channelled to in 2006, “homegrown terrorism would never happen in the United States of America” . (I would write their names but it would probably get them fired wherever they are in 2015).

As you may understand after reading the short email attached, by 2010, I had tried, 4 times, to submit a proposal for this “growing challenge” which was just budding them but is now on the increase, not only in the US, but worldwide.

Homegrown Terrorism is a problem which now manifests itself at least once a month, in diverse places all over the world.

Once the cattle break out of the corral, it is hard to round them up and even harder to do so, once they have stampeded.

There are a number of people out there for whom terrorism is a business which, if properly fuelled and then strategically stoked, through homegrown terrorism, makes for revenue streams of untold magnitude for this select few of profiteers in their boardrooms.

How many of you know that an AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile is US $400,000 per missile and the 120D variant is over US $ 1,500,000?

What’s the point behind this article? Certainly not to repeat the obvious, that US authorities, and others of these governments across the globe, either have no idea how to address the problem while others might, with substantial justification, say, “they have a business interest, in not being “interested” in solutions like those I am offering for sale. (By now, I should have learnt that there are no free rides).

“No man is an Iland, intire of it selfe; every man is a peece of the Continent, a part of the maine; if a Clod bee washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if a Mannor of thy friends or of thine owne were; any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.” John Doone

There goes that fellow Weekes again, proposing, of all things, a solution for “Homegrown Terrorism” Who he thinks he is, when Germany, France, Aremica, the UK and all of these places can’t seem to get a handle on this thing! Certifiably Mad!

Final remark, from the certifiably mad – “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” Bernard Shaw again.

The reality, regrettably so, is that many on BU and in the wider society do not connect to this issue. Not sure why. Maybe they lack the intelligence, awareness have the numbness…add to the list. If it is some political squabble or dogma related matter, YES!

  2. Extract from transcript of above video:

What’s happening in France should not be viewed in isolation. Xenophobic sentiment has been on the rise throughout Europe, and is gaining ground politically. This trend has clearly been exacerbated by the ongoing migrant crisis (which is obviously tied to the regime change policies of the West) but one variable in this equation that no one is talking about is the fact that the way immigration has been handled in Europe is not merely a question of short sightedness, it is a reflection of policy.

In 2012 UN migration chief Peter Sutherland urged the EU to “do its best to undermine” the “homogeneity” of its member states. Such a proposition may sound absurd, unless you take into account that breaking down the national identity of a country makes it much easier to dissolve political boundaries and independence. And that’s precisely what the technocrats in Brussels want.

Hollande has been one of the most outspoken voices in this push to hand over more power to a centralized European government, effectively stripping member states of any meaningful sovereignty. Give that European government a military, it’s own surveillance apparatus and public which is struggling financially, looking for someone to blame, and practically begging for war, and you have a recipe for the rise of overt fascism in Europe.

Many have remarked that recent moves by the French president take several pages from the extreme right. Some have interpreted this as an attempt to prevent the right from capitalizing on the event, but it hasn’t worked out that way, at all. (See also this article)

David…not BU….you have paid to learn, that makes you an expert/specialist. The best of good luck to you going forward, in all things.

World citizenship will be implemented by force eventually. Man-made borders and delusions of sovereignty will become a joke, might not be in our lifetime, but inevitable, because every where is war and will remain so.

  5. Some persons from the Third world take a more serious look at what is happening in the world and have better vision. Why ? some of us learn never to take anything for granted. I find that too much talk goes on in the US and it must be politically correct. Some of the talk helps to inform the good and the bad how to set up their plans. I agree with the US President not to say how he feels the problem should be handled but let the people feel they must be part of the process.

For you to get your patient of good intention you may have to find and” influential” to market on your behalf. (with heavy contract not to pose as theirs) Do not give up.

Thank you Shirf and Well Well for the encouraging words, like some of us I can not retreat from this thing called life.

I have a few friends who read Barbados Underground but are afraid to write on it. One guy who is fearless during meetings is petrified by this blog.

I asked him why and he said that he does not want to make enemies. I asked him to explain that given that he might only be commenting about something like street lamps and making your street safer at night. He said that you would be amazed how many people from a government department or a utility company will read his comments and immediately he becomes a trouble maker. I did not get that gene. It is either the fear gene or the very smart fellow to keep his mouth shut gene.

These friend will call me on the phone and we will talk about what I posted about the Fair Trading Commission, Lime unilateral practices, the whole list of things that seem “wrong” and sometimes, rarely, the things that we get right.

This morning I was sharing with him the fact that Barbados has thousands of very bright people but somehow we bajans have little respect for our own.

I told him that just over a week ago the brother of on of the recent victims in the St Philip shootings had given one of the cornerstones of the patent on CBC TV.

He was bareback and had chains around his neck and articulated in perfect English what one of the elements of the solution needs to be.

I saw a big up institute in the United Kingdom put up the problem in academic lingo about “indoctrination commencing at a much earlier age than 15” but this man not only spoke to the er rants killings in our society today, but he proposed a solution, this St. Philipian said “stop giving boy children guns as toys when they are two years old”

That was an Einsteinian pronouncement, by a bareback Bajan, in a third world country, on a 144 square mile country that was lost on a community, our country and our world.

The simple fact is that what he said was not instantly achievable, it was not a five year politician term, nor did it come from Sir Allan Field or Sir Hilary Beckles.

It came from a bareback man in St Philip and underscores the point “if a tree falls in a forest, breaks down several other trees in its path, and there is no one there to hear it, can we say that it makes a noise? Fast forward through 50 years when new trees have grown and totally replaced that carnage and tell me if, in addition to the first question, did it damage anything?

As a people we have grown accustomed to regurgitating the dredges of other developed nations but we scorn our own

Exactly David, not BU, that very simple insightfulness by a dude that would be considered nobody in the bajan society, would go right over the heads of those with their pimphood titles of sirs and dames, it would not even register in their corrupt minds.

However, that was the same method, successful to some extent used in the manufacture of tanned skinned dolls so that little girls of African descent would identify with and appreciate the beauty and strength associated with their own skin and not ask their parents, when will they become white. Not giving little boys toy guns would reduuce their need for wanting to appear gun savvy, there is the violent television shows to deal with, as well as the gun trafficking, but that one step with toy guns, is a step forward.

Watchman, you know what follows better than anyone, including Anthony Bradshaw who wrote it. “In the processing of payments all original documentation as well as the purchase order must be attached to the payment expense voucher according to the procedure in the manual. Before any cheque is signed by two (2) signatories, all documentation is checked once more for completeness. Therefore, while no system is completely foolproof, the various approval processes and checks and balances mitigate the risk of fraud or irregularity.” As a man who has been at CE from the 90’s when it was CEPD would you explain what is wrong with this process? what is the danger of having the Executive Director, and the Chief Financial Officer, Pamela Coke Hamilton and Anthony Bradshaw control the signing of checks as well as controlling every aspect of the internal checks and balances designed to detect fraud?

  9. @David Weekes on the 12.41 a.m. “stop giving boy children guns as toys when they are two years old”

But this thought is not new. I myself have never given a child a toy gun…nor a white doll…but them I did not study the “hard” sciences, but rather human behaviour…and to anyone who has studied the humanities, not giving children guns is common knowledge.

However the young man blamed mothers for giving guns, and I would tell the young man that it is silly for grown men to blame their mothers for the men’s failures. There comes a time in the life of al of us when we have to stop blaming our mothers (or fathers) and take responsibility for our own failures (and successes)

    @simple
A few of us have and followed the same idea.
We also tell our children if there is a gun in the group, then they should abandon the friendship and associating with the gun ‘owner’. Hopefully, they follow our instructions.
We may be too few to turn the tide against the senseless

  11. So we have seen our law courts being used by four Pakistani visitors to lenghten their slay in Barbados . They were given by Immigration, 1 week instead of the 3 weeks they were asking. Going to court would mean that they were entitled to remain in the island until their case was heard. After 3 weeks and a few days, the case was finally called. The Pakistanis never turned up ,and left Barbados either the same day, or the day after. So much for the Attorney-General saying, ” I do not care what the CCJ says.” This would never had happened in the USA.
Every SOB comes to Barbados and use us ,one way or the other.

  12. @Colonel Buggy December 12, 2015 at 8:37 PM “The Pakistanis never turned up ,and left Barbados either the same day, or the day after. So much for the Attorney-General saying, ” I do not care what the CCJ says.” This would never had happened in the USA.”

    On the contrary.

It happens in the USA all the time.

You do know don’t you that there are tens of millions of undocumented migrants in the USA?

You do know don’t you that in the USA people fail to show up for court hearings? That people go underground rather than show for a court hearings..

  13. I am sure that everyone of us know or has heard of a friend or relative who went to the USA and “ran off the track” or “married to get their stay”

  14. The Neoconservatives’ Hegemonic Goal Of Making Sovereign Countries Extinct Is Bringing Instead The Extinction Of Planet Earth

    By Paul Craig Roberts

My warning that the neoconservatives have resurrected the threat of nuclear Armageddon, which was removed by Reagan and Gorbachev, is also being given by Noam Chomsky, former US Secretary of Defense William Perry, and other sentient observers of the neoconservatives’ aggressive policies toward Russia and China.

    snip

In other words, Russia was misled by believing that the West respects and abides by the values that it professes. In fact, these “Western values” are merely a cover for the unbridled evil of which the West consists.

The Western peoples are so dimwitted that they have not yet understood that the “war on terror” is, in fact, a war to create terror that can be exported to Muslim areas of Russia and China in order to destabilize the two countries that serve as a check on Washington’s unilateral, hegemonic power.

The problem for the neocon unilateralists is that Russia and China—although misinformed by their “experts” educated abroad in the neoliberal tradtion, people who are de facto agents of Washington without even knowing it—are powerful military powers, both nuclear and conventional. Unless Russia and China are content to be Washington’s vassal states, for the neoconservatives, who control Washington and, therefy, the West, to press these two powerful countries so hard can only lead to war. As Washington is not a match for Russia and China in conventional warfare, the war will be nuclear, and the result will be the end of life on earth.

  15. When I look around the community, the country and on our various media, Like some I may come to the conclusion that all mankind knows is how to go to war and how to inflict pain, suffering and death.

It seem that feeding life, giving equitable reward for services given and rendering respect towards other men just does not seem to attract the enthusiasm or the interest of the masses as the former malice does

If you get time or are so interested late an evening Google the Joint Special Operations Command.

Some of its agencies include Delta Force and Seal Force 6, Task Force Orange and they are all “Nimble and Stealthy”.

For the most part their collective jobs surround “Actionable intelligence” and for this counter intelligence function that command billions of dollars.

In conventional war the enemy can be seen, and bombed, in this conflict we deal with an enemy within yet, who are not so visible until the Bataclans of this world.

Yet, even though the money to fight and overcome these warriors of their concept of God is a fraction of that JSOC budget man seems hellbent on employing the first option which, just one contrived incident between Russia and Turkey, may cast us all, players and non-players, into Armageddon

So true, if some of would would take a moment to appreciate how fragile the life we take for grated is we would be able to focus on quality of life at the expense of quantity.
