Commonsense suggests the Cahill Waste-to-Energy deal is dead. Commonsense also suggest Barbadians must remain vigilant to make sure the Cahill deal is buried. Of interest to Barbadians in the attached Cahill leaked documents […] is an email sent to Mary Mahabir of Lex Caribbean on September 02, 2015.

  1. If she is indebted to Lex Caribbean, how could be be so brave to be asking them to do work for her?

This woman is brazen beyond belief!

  2. I am impressed with the leaks on BU.

    Transparency by any means necessary.

  3. @Clare Cowan

    Are you nuts?

How can government transfer land without town planning permission or having debated the matter in parliament?

Ministers have made their usual bullshit promises to yet another speculator who genuinely believed that Bajans were serious about doing business. I imagine she would have paid her ‘lobbying fees to all and sundry expecting, like so many others before her, a guarantee of performance from people who won their authority and position simply by being more popular than the other losers. She will now experience the dragging out of responses, outright lies and then the blame game; “I did what I was supposed to, it is now in the hands of the PM”. Meanwhile retirement nests are being lined at the expense of the gullible (including we taxpayers) and Barbados is going nowhere but down. It is a scenario that has played out time and time again over the past 7 years with FoofFoo’s giggle of fools.

Frustrated Businessman is spot on. The poor woman has been led down the proverbial “garden path”. Anyone know who the local “consultant/handler/bagman” is for this project? Or who in the local private sector is pushing and supporting the project and may even stand to gain, if god forbid, it actually came to fruition.

It’s a very heavy bag so it needed many hands
to do the lifting. Houses in England, London
to be precise, are very heavy with those slate
    roofs.

“The poor woman has been led down the proverbial “garden path”.”

Who was leading whom down down the “garden path”

Anther proverbial “Oh what a tangled web we weave – When first we practice to deceive.”

And now, thanks to BU and its whistle blower contributor it is all over the web.

  8. Well done David

  9. The disrespect this government continuing to treat its citizens by maintaining a loud silence should concern sensible Bajans. How can we boast of a democratic system of government when valid concerns raised about breach of financial rules and governance issues go unanswered?

  10. The Government is likely having their Lawyers working overtime on this.

I am sure there are Lawyers in Canada who are gearing up to see if there is money to be made ( breach of contract ? )

Lots of money to be made by Lawyers.

There is a”loud silence” except on BU and among concerned citizens.

    Government silent. Opposition silent.

  11. @Hants October 2, 2015 at 12:32 PM #

“I am sure there are Lawyers in Canada who are gearing up to see if there is money to be made ( breach of contract ? )”

I am not so sure about that.

The lawyers in Canada are the ones representing Ridgewood and MECC in the $1.5 million mortgage action; and maybe the lawyers for Home Trust.

The contracts to be breached are between Cahill Energy (Guernsey) and Cahill Energy Barbados, and GOB; so the lawyers for Cahill would be Taylor Wessing in the UK and LexCaribbean in Barbados.

And I am not so sure that there is “Lots of money to be made by (Cahill’s) Lawyers.” because Cahill has no money. And MECC has no money.

The email from Dominic Fitzpatrick (Taylor Wessing) dated September 2 suggests they are owed money and are getting nervous about their “exposure”.

An email from Melissa Singh at LexCaribbean says they are owed BDS$19,273.75, and they want their money; and they should be worried about their (reputation) exposure.

But of course, the Four Ministers will have their lawyers working overtime to save their good names.

MIA broke the story in Parliament, she is waiting to see if Bajans care enough to do something about it by following up with respectable public outcry, marches, call for resignations, DPP prosecution and all the other civil means available to us that we choose to ignore mostly. Any team leader would do the same. ‘You cannot push a rope’ is obvious to any good leader but at the same time constantly dragging dead weight is impractical. Sometimes the rope has to be shortened.

  13. Well done David …..

The only truth on schedule B is the is the liability section of $4.720,000. All the rest is fantasy !!!!!!
This form was clearly used to fraudulent ly to secure loans
Interesting that the ridgemount loan was at a higher interest rate than the Cameron mortgage which if she had kept and not changed to ridgemount she may never have been found out and brought to court.
Also interesting is her 285million equity/asset in the contracts signed by our numpty ministers. That’s $US220
Million on a $350 build cost
Is her infrastar investors really going to pay her that kind of money for these contracts

Wish I could give myself an $850,000.00 bonus even if its just on paper.
Cahill international was tanked before this form was filled out and fraudently signed???????????

  14. Talor Wessing will want their money and will end up taking the contracts signed by the numpties and flog them to the highest bidder to recoup their debt.
How much of this fraud were they aware of and are they as duplicitous as she is ??????

  15. @Frustrated Businessman October 2, 2015 at 1:41 PM #

“MIA broke the story in Parliament, she is waiting to see if Bajans care enough to do something about it”……..

    That was on June 17.

Surely with all the information that has trickled out since then (mainly via BU) she has ammunition to fire another shot across the bow.

  16. Who was leading who down the garden path indeed! This thing keeps getting worse and worse. More garbage here than in the landfill. What kind of WTE plant do we build to take care of this filthy lot?

  17. @Mockingbird October 2, 2015 at 1:47 PM #

You said “Interesting that the ridgemount loan was at a higher interest rate than the Cameron mortgage……” That is if the interest rate really was 12%. It too may have been a fantasy.

In his May 15, 2013, reporting letter, lawyer M Lloyd Rubinoff said “TO acting for the lender with respect to placing a new second mortgage in favour of Cameron Stephens Financial Corporation securing the principal sum of $960,000.” Could that be securing an $800,000 advance and one year’s interest at 20%?

Also, “Is her infrastar investors really going to pay her that kind of money for these contracts”

Surely after all that has come out (and they have undoubtedly been reading the media and BU), Infrastar/Nautilus will have pulled out of the PSA negotiation and swallowed their sunk costs – including the cost of the satellite photos of the 15 acres in Barbados.

  18. @DD
    Good points
I also wonder how the $700k in shares to ridgemount changes her 95% share ownership
Did she tell ridgemount the contracts were worth $285million ????
Who owns the other 5% on the schedule B do they realise their share is worth $14+ million ???? Lol

  19. She assumed 100% of the value in her BS calculations
She should have only taken 95% of the 285 million
    Lol

  20. Or is the value of the contract worth $300 million

    It’s all funny money regardless
It hurts my head to think of the farcical way this whole thing is unfolding

  21. Mockingbird

Indeed, who indeed owns the other 5%?. Her consultants/handlers/bagmen?

“Surely with all the information that has trickled out since then (mainly via BU) she has ammunition to fire another shot across the bow.”

It will be labelled as ‘incoherent noise’. Does anyone seriously believe that if Leroy Parris who has destroyed thousands of lives and stashed tens, if not hundreds of millions of pensioners’ dollars here there and everywhere, can be ‘protected’, that anything will ever happen to Lowe and co….. ?

You said “..surely after all that has come out (and they have undoubtedly been reading the media and BU),…” but you meant to say …”Surely after all that has come out (and they have undoubtedly been reading BU the only media house in Barbados…”

    @ Mitchland

There are some truths that can be stated

    1) Dem CANNOT TEK UM WID DEM WHEY DEY IS GOING!! The place above will not need it and the place below with the flames to be applied to their behinds will only make the fire hotter

Some have said that The thousand of lives that you spoke of, that they have destroyed and the millions of dollars that they have stolen comes from thousands of people who, in the final analysis, still have the absolute option of “it shall neither be mine nor thine…”

  24. What due diligence did the government do on this company / woman prior to engaging with Cahill???
In the court of BU the jurors ie the posters and blogers clearly can see through the documentation posted and clearly would have NOT lent this woman a dime based on the documentation provided .
Was it the greed and opportunity to get rich quick the overwhelming factor for these people to get into bed with fraudster???
    This all beggers belief

  25. Posted to Facebook extracted from the Nation Newspaper:

    Good Morning, everyone.

Please check out this cartoon from today’s Nation Newspaper.

This goes to show that we are doing something right after all.

We must keep it coming and have a blessed day.

  26. Seems to me that she should have done some due diligence on the Government…

If interested please meet me in the lobby of the four seasons as the locks have been changed on my condo due to non payment of my debts .
I’ll be the one dressed as the old hag with the dogs. And no thats not a disguise its the real me.
You should come as a pretend intellectual however brains are not a prerequisite.

  28. @David.
You, blog-master, are always calling for transparency, freedom of the press, the need for the people to have a forum, and things along that line. Yet you are practicing censorship, etc with my blogs that differ from your ideas, or put a different perspective. I sent a blog earlier (actually yesterday) in which I pointed out the need for lawyers to respect client privileges, and pointed out that if a firm like Lex Caribbean endorses or supports the type of exposure of information that places a potential client’s information on Social Media that firm is leaving itself open to lawsuits, etc. You refused to publish that contribution. Why,???

  29. Where did you send the letter Alvin?

  30. Seems like allot of info out there to push cahil out. anyone done real research on this. cannot seem to find allot wrong with the plasma stuff. Only bizzy pushing his stuff to mess up the deal.
