gaygamesDavid Cameron has threatened to withhold UK aid from governments that do not reform legislation banning homosexuality. The UK prime minister said he raised the issue with some of the states involved at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth, Australia. Human rights reform in the Commonwealth was one issue that leaders failed to reach agreement on at the summit

 BBC News UK

Prime Minister of England David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson have become champions for England to host the Gay Games in 2018.  Is it BU or has Cameron and Mayor Boris lost the plot. The history of Olympiads record that there have been many gay Olympic champions; Greg Louganis and Robin Cousins spring to mind. We need not bother with the lesbian category.

If the object of ‘gay liberation’ is equality why do we have the Gay Games? Isn’t what is playing out akin to having the Black Games or the Oriental Games? Recognizing that China won the most gold medals, and the Black Usain Bolt took centre stage in London at the last Olympics this ‘what if’ scenario makes for interesting conversation.

Given the opportunity BU would ask Prime Minister David Cameron,  what criteria does he recommend to test if athletes are gay beyond a shadow of a doubt. Is there some kind of gay inspection implement we are unaware of?

The hypocrisy of the C&E resurfaces that  celibate, gay men can become priests and bishops, but women can only become priests because they are of a lesser race, even if they are in a legal civil partnership.

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy!

  1. Jews where and are discriminated against…Arabs especially Palestinians are discriminated against…Europe has had many wars.yet they get on and develop…black countries seem to wait and praise The Lord …it’s like we just live to die ..in the UK the metropolitan police have a unit called Trident it’s specifically for black on black crime…they don’t have one for Asians or whites or Jews or gays……why…?

  2. stephen all those nationalities have had the backings of the white establishment, wether it be of america or russia.

  3. More excuses…face facts ..until we back our young an encourage them to take chances in fields we know nothing about we are always going to be the poor relations…we have a mental block that it might not work so better to be a non starter than a failure…..I have a sense that I won’t live forever …take a chance if it goes pear-shaped …there is always plan B…I don’t have any probs taking chances …worked for myself for 40 years …employed at one time 80 + ppl…and hundreds if not thousands in my time…the black young need motivation …not god……god is BOLLOXS…

  4. the black young needs “motivation” agree but also opportunities! nothing in life is guaranteed but for blacks most would tell you that if given a chance or an oportunity to prove themselves they would work hard to achieve, however for most that opportunity never comes.maybe you stephen was given a chance and was able to achieved.but an example can be the number of blacks who left their shores and was successful because of the chances given.

  5. Tough ..if you can’t work it out and be successful…I don’t have any pity ..just to bad …they have a chance of free education if you don’t take it cos your parents are useless tough…winners and losers in all societies …my kids are doing well my Grandkids are a pleasure to talk to …my oldest Granddaughter want to be a vet ..she’s 12 ..my oldest grandson is interested in science especially astronomy…the others are to young to know but I am a happy bunny..so chances are there all the time ..you take them or you don’t…

  6. stephen it seems that you have lived in your cozy world oblivious to all the noise and confusion except to what you belive is “whatis” and what should be” and on occasion peaks out to tell all that you have an answer. unfortunately it appears that your world and that of those who only want to have their hopes and desires accomplished are totally different.

  7. Sorry AC unless you married the only poor white guy on the Island you probably live in a cozy world as well. The problem in Barbados is simple math.If you become a doctor, lawyer, politician etc you expect to keep that job for at least 35 years so the market for jobs is saturated, with new people coming out of school and into the work force every year there is just nowhere for them to go Just like in poker 1 son beats 3 degrees any day of the week, nepotism is there and like Steven said lifes not fair . . Once babyboomers make it through the system their will be openings till then either young people will have to think outside the box or leave for a larger venue where oppertunities exist. Evey year at home they will put out a list of jobs where openings exist so you can tailor your education to a need, however like children chasing a soccer ball everyone rushes to those areas and are shocked when they graduate and find everybody is competing for the same job.The job market is the one place you have to be out of step with what everyone else is doing remember a dead fish swims with the stream. The problem with youth unemployment is not isolated to Barbados. different countries have different ways of handling a universal problem, In Canada we are commodity based so we open new mines or forests logging areas, in the States they start a war and in the Muslim world they strap a bomb on you and promise you 100 virgins

Who cares if a gay guy gets anal cancer…this is not the point let ppl live their lives live yours and try and do something constructive…who cares who’s F** king who…get a life..

I HATE THIS ATTITUDE BY PEOPLE WHO SPEAK THE WAY YOU SPEAK ABOUT THIS MATTER OF HOMOSEXUALITY.

You just cant let people live their lives if it will adversely affect others (the Society).
There must be control that is why there are Laws,
There are too many uneducated mis-informed spewing nonsense on the airwaves, the blogs and wherever else

  9. AC my cosy world has been very hard work, and DrThe Hounarable ..I like living in a society where ppl are free to live their lives how they feel fit….just like smoking or excessive drinking .gay ppl are aware of adverse effects to their health ..it’s up to them ..not you..or any one else…

  10. Lawson you lost me on your last comment as you tries to compare barbados economy to larger countries with more resources .barbados resources and production is very weak and still has to maintain a satisfacory level of employment which is mostly held by govt.

  11. AC we have lots of resources…$700 million oil bill and we have a abundance of wind and solar energy…old fashioned agriculture..very under productive……education based on the 60s…this country has so much potential it’s unbelievable….I think AC you just like to make out your hard done by and you can only be dependant cos you want too …and it’s easy to play the poor hard done by black person….

  12. Stephen i am not denying that you have work hard but everbody life experiences are different some of which may be due to circumstance .there are also those who can tell of how hard they have work and accomplished little and was not properly rewarded for their efforts at the end of a hard days work. However saying life is not fair is not the answer for at the end of the day there is the worker making one man rich and in return the worker making nothing.

  13. AC I never said the world was a fair place ..but as a nation and a tiny nation at that we have potential to make changes that enrich our ppl…I was never a big business but I punched way above my size by being competitive punctual and knowing my business inside out…and every one I have ever employed has been paid proper wages and on time …never believed in paying peanuts for monkeys …if you can’t or couldn’t do the job ..we parted company ..simple…

  14. Stephen again youb are taking your experience and applying to people as indivduals .however in the rea world it doesnt work that way. my comment about people working hard and accomplishy very little is factual based on an overwhelming work force who are the majority and the minority who controls the wealth. something got to be wrong with that picture.

  15. AC do you not believe there are the haves and have nots in every country, we have lots of working poor in Canada however the govt here seems to have better policies in place to help the ones less fortunate. Many countries have their wealth controlled by minoritys one clan, one tribe, one ethnic group, you see it more clearly because in your case it is black and white. What are you going to do when the wealth is controlled by the majority and the same problems are there , high unemployment, low wages, and shrinking gdp. Do you think the people with the money are going to give it to you because you are the same color?

  16. No lawson i don.t expect any one to give me anything .however in action of fairness no one should have to be called upon to do what is morally right after all one is accountable for their actions and those in control of the wealth by withholding and keeping most of it is also contributing to poverty

  17. AS IF WE DON’T HAVE GAYS IN ALL GAMES ALREADY.!
IT WILL BE FUNNY THOUGH MAY BE THEY WILL FLOP THEIR HANDS AS THEY RUN.AND BE SURE TO WEAR A PLUG AS WE DON’T WANT THAT GAPING HOLE LEAKING NOW DO WE? YET ANOTHER ABOMINATION TO THE LORD ALMIGHTY!!!!1

  18. Listen to yourself… and you complain how your people are treated. Then have the audacity to invoke God. Loser

  19. Amazing how some black ppl say how badly they are discriminated against and how they lack civil rights and opportunity..then turn the same discriminatory practices on other minorities and claim God says….??…FFS…

  20. Here stephen something for you to ponder. i don,t know if you have been following the Lance Armstrong story. However here is the sceanrio as i see it .Lance Armstrong doped his way to Fame and got away with it even when there was growing suspicion that he used ehance performance drugs.noticeably his credibilty did not take much of abeating until found out. now Take the case of Tiger woods within minutes of a illict marital affair he lost everything. not even given a chance for redemption.

  21. “Found out”..that is what happened.. Tiger got found out and all these women came along saying how he had sex with them.. From what I understand about Armstrong he had all kinds of currupt officials etc involved.. If your trying to make these two incidents a race thing .. Think again..

  22. Is this the same tiger who won 3 tournaments last year and is back on the pro circuit trust me lance wont be at the tour de france anytime soon, A better comparison would be gary hart or john edwards their careers did not return after they were found out What about mike Vick or koby Bryant both back in the leagues Now Ben Johnson compares better to Lance except he was caught so I would have to say Carl Lewis is the best comparison denied drugs all along till career was over.
Now as to tiger lost everything guess again he is probably still one of the richest people in sports.

  23. Well the racist factor can be challenged in this instance as Lance was given the benefit of the doubt for many years while Tiger was thrown out to pasture immediately. one can agrue that the measure of treatment and time taken was dispportionate showing that it can be influenced by racist thinking taking into consideration that both accumulated massive amounts of wealth and noteriety. how then was lance allowed to lie for so long and was believed by many and Tiger lie brought him down immediately

  25. The annual export volume exceeds 770 million units. In order to
keep its corrosion resistance, its surface cannot be damaged in the process of installation and use.
Your commodity teams must visit, and they must visit often.
“Haha. Firstly, you should learn something about the manufacturers.

  26. Its like you learn my thoughts! You seem to understand
a lot about this, like you wrote the e-book in
it or something. I believe that you simply could do with a few p.c.

to drive the message house a little bit, but instead of that,
this is fantastic blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be
    back.
