    And on Tony Blair’s, George Bush’s, Saddam Hussein’s, Gadaffi’s and many more especially in Africa – Congo, Rwanda, Angola, Biafra, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Somalia, etc .
    Of course, Gadaffi can be excused as he is killing many more and has decided to wipe humanity off the face of a part of Libya. I suppose you’d say he could be excused as he’s only killing Libyans.

    This chap sure sounds like a TELe-EVANGELIST, not any intellectual I have ever heard.He talks about the Electoral Commision versus the Supreme Court in IC but fails to point out that the SC in the US may have made a very questionable decision in the Bush election so why would anyone necessarily trust IC’s Supreme Court?

    He says the West’s motivation is OIL. So what he is saying is that Obama and the US are very poor mathematicians and strategists because Libya has 2% of global oil reserves while Venezuela claims to have more oil than Saudi Arabia right in the US’s back yard. So why play around with a mouse when you have a herd of prime Angus steaks near your BBQ????

    While it is true Libya has a higher standard of living than other African nations on average that does not mean that the bottom 95% lives well compared to the top 5% who are in the military, civil service etc. He does not address the fact that civil uprising started in Tunisia,then Egypt, Bahrain etc before Libya why is that the case then????

    He says Obama snubbed Mugabe’s emissary and that BO is stupid to do that. However, maybe BO just does not like leaders who steal elections, cause the death of his own people by starvation, ruins his country’s currency etc

    If the West wanted Gadaffi out then surely they would have dealt with him when he brought down PanAm 103, that would have been reason enough.

    This guy leads one to believe that Russians,Mugabe, Chavez, Gadaffi are all really fine global citizens that love their own people now that is BOVINE EXCREMENT of the finest quality.

    While I agree with some of the issues he raises especially on Libya, I disagree with his narrative on the Ivory Coast. But my question is this : Why is it that the African Union (AU) which is made up of over 50 members on the the continent received a 1/3 of their budget from Europe.? You mean to tell me that the countries of Africa cannot even financed and run there own institution… without being mendicants. This is sad and embarrassing to say the least. This then lead me to ask the question: Is the budget of Caricom 100% financed by its member countries or are we no better than the AU members.?

    The commentator on the video clip obviously holds firm views “…..it’s all a farce and a fraud”.
    I find it strange that he can reach this conclusion by looking at photos on the internet, particularly when his conclusion is based on the fact that the photos are staged.

    If the West wanted Gadaffi out then surely they would have dealt with him when he brought down PanAm 103, that would have been reason enough.

    But was Gadaffi really responsible for bringing down Pan Am 103? Looks like a patsy, i.e. Megrahi, was framed for the crime in that case, and Libya was fingered as responsible because it suited the US and Britain at the time, not because they were the real suspects.

    The American satirist Larry David once addressed a voluble crony as “a babbling brook of bullsh*t.” Such eloquence summarizes the circus of Megrahi’s release.

    No one in authority has had the guts to state the truth about the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 above the Scottish village of Lockerbie on 21 December 1988 in which 270 people were killed. The governments in England and Scotland in effect blackmailed Megrahi into dropping his appeal as a condition of his immediate release. Of course there were oil and arms deals under way with Libya; but had Megrahi proceeded with his appeal, some 600 pages of new and deliberately suppressed evidence would have set the seal on his innocence and given us more than a glimpse of how and why he was stitched up for the benefit of “strategic interests.”

    “The endgame came down to damage limitation,” said the former CIA officer Robert Baer, who took part in the original investigation, “because the evidence amassed by [Megrahi’s] appeal is explosive and extremely damning to the system of justice.” New witnesses would show that it was impossible for Megrahi to have bought clothes that were found in the wreckage of the Pan Am aircraft – he was convicted on the word of a Maltese shopowner who claimed to have sold him the clothes, then gave a false description of him in 19 separate statements and even failed to recognize him in the courtroom.

    The new evidence would have shown that a fragment of a circuit board and bomb timer, “discovered” in the Scottish countryside and said to have been in Megrahi’s suitcase, was probably a plant. A forensic scientist found no trace of an explosion on it. The new evidence would demonstrate the impossibility of the bomb beginning its journey in Malta before it was “transferred” through two airports undetected to Flight 103.

    A “key secret witness” at the original trial, who claimed to have seen Megrahi and his co-accused al-Alim Khalifa Fahimah (who was acquitted) loading the bomb on to the plane at Frankfurt, was bribed by the US authorities holding him as a “protected witness.” The defense exposed him as a CIA informer who stood to collect, on the Libyans’ conviction, up to $4m as a reward.

    PanAm 103 Over Lockerbie

    Ah yes, “the civilized community of nations”, that place we so often hear about but so seldom get to actually see. American officials, British officials, and Scottish officials know that Megrahi is innocent. They know that Iran financed the PFLP-GC, a Palestinian group, to carry out the bombing with the cooperation of Syria, in retaliation for the American naval ship, the Vincennes, shooting down an Iranian passenger plane in July of the same year, which took the lives of more people than did the 103 bombing. And it should be pointed out that the Vincennes captain, plus the officer in command of air warfare, and the crew were all awarded medals or ribbons afterward. 2 No one in the US government or media found this objectionable or outrageous, or disgusting or repulsive. The United States has always insisted that the shooting down of the Iranian plane was an “accident”. Why then give awards to those responsible?

    The scenario implicating Iran, Syria, and the PFLP-GC was the Original Official Version, endorsed by the US, UK, Scotland, even West Germany — guaranteed, sworn to, scout’s honor, case closed — until the buildup to the Gulf War came along in 1990 and the support of Iran and Syria was needed for the broad Middle East coalition the United States was readying for the ouster of Iraq’s troops from Kuwait. Washington was also anxious to achieve the release of American hostages held in Lebanon by groups close to Iran. Thus it was that the scurrying sound of backtracking could be heard in the corridors of the White House. Suddenly, in October 1990, there was a New Official Version: it was Libya — the Arab state least supportive of the US build-up to the Gulf War and the sanctions imposed against Iraq — that was behind the bombing after all, declared Washington.

    The two Libyans were formally indicted in the US and Scotland on Nov. 14, 1991. Within the next 20 days, the remaining four American hostages were released in Lebanon along with the most prominent British hostage, Terry Waite. 5

    In order to be returned to Libya, Megrahi had to cancel his appeal. It was the appeal, not his health, that concerned the Brits and the Americans. Dr. Jim Swire of Britain, whose daughter died over Lockerbie, is a member of UK Families Flight 103, which wants a public inquiry into the crash. “If he goes back to Libya,” Swire says, “it will be a bitter pill to swallow, as an appeal would reveal the fallacies in the prosecution case. … I’ve lost faith in the Scottish criminal justice system, but if the appeal is heard, there is not a snowball’s chance in hell that the prosecution case will survive.” 6

    One final note: Many people are under the impression that Libyan Leader Moammar Qaddafi has admitted on more than one occasion to Libya’s guilt in the PanAm 103 bombing. This is not so. Instead, he has stated that Libya would take “responsibility” for the crime. He has said this purely to get the heavy international sanctions against his country lifted. At various times, both he and his son have explicitly denied any Libyan role in the bombing.

    Press TV has interviewed Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, former assistant secretary of US Treasury from Panama City, who gives his insight on the revolution in Libya and why US President Barack Obama needs to overthrow Qaddafi when no other US presidents did.

    Press TV: Russia has criticized NATO for going far beyond its UN mandate. In other news a joint Op Ed is going to be written by Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy who have said that “leaving Qaddafi in power would be an unconscionable betrayal to the Libyan people”.

    We do know that the mandate does not call for regime change; the Obama administration has been saying they are not in there for regime change; but things seem a little different now don’t they?

    Roberts: Yes they do. First of all, notice that the protests in Libya are different from the ones in Egypt or Yemen or Bahrain or Tunisia and the difference is that this is an armed rebellion.

    There are more differences: another is that these protests originated in the eastern part of Libya where the oil is – they did not originate in the capital city. And we have heard from the beginning credible reports that the CIA is involved in the protests, and there have been a large number of press reports that the CIA has sent back to Libya its Libyan asset to head up the Libyan rebellion.

    In my opinion, what this is about is to eliminate China from the Mediterranean. China has extensive energy investments and construction investments in Libya. They are looking to Africa as a future energy source.

    The US is countering this by organizing the United States African Command (USAC), which Qaddafi refused to join. So that’s the second reason for the Americans to want Qaddafi out.

    And the third reason is that Libya controls part of the Mediterranean coast and it’s not in American hands.

    Press TV: Where do you see the situation headed? There seems to be a rift between NATO countries with Britain and France wanting to increase the momentum of these air strikes, but the US saying no, there is no need.

    Roberts: The rift is not real. The rift is just part of the cover, just part of the propaganda. Qaddafi has been ruling for 40 years – he goes back to Gamal Abdel Nasser (before Anwar Sadat) who wanted to give independence to Egypt.

    He (Qaddafi) was never before called a brutal dictator that has to be removed. No other president has ever said Qaddafi has to go. Not even Ronald Reagan who actually bombed Qaddafi’s compound. But all of a sudden he has to go. Why?

    Because he’s blocking the US African Command, he controls part of the Mediterranean and he has let China in to find its energy needs for the future. Washington is trying to cripple its main rival, China, by denying China energy. That’s what this is really about; a reaction by the US to China’s penetration of Africa.

    I always analyse how a person delivers because it may indicate an important piece of info that the words alone cant and dont. Obama is an absolutely brilliant orator BUT I have always felt that ” a master MESMERISER is very likely a master MANIPULATOR”, now people are realising that BO may not be able to deliver what they thought he would.

    Just remember that when the CIA and/or MI6 decide to overthrow a government they have years of experience and know-how to ensure they cover their tracks and keep their involvement out of the mainstream media’s reporting. It’s all about plausible deniability and keeping us unwashed masses and useless eaters in the dark.

(52) By then, destabilisation other than by bribery was taking place and British and US agents were also involved in plans to kidnap key officials and political personalities. In one instance the Chief of Police was abducted, and finally tortured and murdered. (53)

    By the way, it was none other than Winston Churchill who referred to the overthrow of the democratically elected Iranian government as “a great venture.”

    Churchill later told the CIA officer responsible for the operation that he ‘would have loved nothing better than to have served under your command in this great venture’.

    I was searching for substance and there was some BUT I have difficulty when any speaker is strongly suggesting that Mugabe, Chavez,Gadaffi, Russians are purer than the driven snow and the West are the only real stinkers. Mature people should realise that nearly all politicians cant walk in a straight line for ten feet to save their lives. These leaders are WORSE THAN AN ARMY of OCCUPATION because at least armies of occupation EVENTUALLY GO HOME.

    Regarding the US’s interest in Africa and its resources (oil,copper etc) they must be slower than molasses to figure China’s intentions since China has more than 650 projects on the go there. China has had a major presence for a long time now and they are not employing many Africans but sending their own people PLUS soldiers to guard the projects. (not in military garb).

    With regards to crude oil reserves, it is not just the quantity, but the quality as well that is important. Libyan oil is of the prized, light, sweet variety which is easy and relatively cheap to refine and is, unfortunately for us earthlings, becoming an increasingly smaller proportion of the world’s remaining reserves. Venezuelan oil, in contrast, is of the heavier variety and is laden with sulfur, and both of those characteristics make it significantly more difficult and more expensive to refine into useable products and also create more polluting byproducts which have to be disposed of or taken care of in some way.

    Oil refining basics: why countries like Libya are important to the world economy–plus a thought on the markets

    Political upheaval in Libya is causing much more turmoil in world stock markets than the popular overthrow of the government in Egypt–even though Egypt is a much larger country with much more influence in Middle East politics. The obvious difference between the two is that Libya is an oil producer and Egypt is not. But when we look at the amount of oil Libya brings to the surface every day, it’s pretty small–1.6 million barrels, or less than 2% of the world’s daily usage. How can that be so important?

    The answer is that a lot depends on two factors: the kind of oil Libya has (light, sweet crude) and the ability of the world’s processing capacity to turn different types of oil into usable products.

    An increasing proportion of the oil available for refining is what industry jargon calls “sour” instead of “sweet. “ That is, it contains sulfur, a corrosive element and a pollutant. So most refineries have expensive desulfurization machinery that remove the sulfur from refined products.

    3. An increasing proportion of the available oil is also “heavy” instead of “light.” That is, it’s rich in bigger molecules and contains few small ones. Therefore, the primary heating process yields large amounts of the junky stuff at the bottom of the column and very little of the more valuable gasoline and middle distillates.

    As a result, most modern refineries also have (again, very expensive) machinery to “crack,” or break up, the large molecules at the bottom of the distilling column into smaller-molecule, more valuable output, like diesel or gasoline.

    That’s all you need to know. Light, sweet crude: boil it and you’re done. Heavy, sour crude: spend billions on a “back end” to your refinery so you can make it into stuff people will buy. Why do this? …heavy, sour crude is a lot cheaper.

    That’s where Libya comes in. Yes, Libya is only a small factor in the world oil market (the country may have huge reserves, but that’s irrelevant if they’re not being developed). And it has a reputation as an unreliable supplier. But the 1.6 million barrels it churns out is all easy/cheap to refine light, sweet crude that’s rich in the gasoline and diesel fuel that the US and Europe consume.

    There may be lots of “extra” crude oil available on the market. But that’s predominantly heavier and sulfur-laden. These are only substitutes if the refineries that have contracted for Libyan crude can process these lower grade oils as well. The frantic bidding we’re seeing in the market for similar light sweet crude argues that they can’t.

    Senators Sucked Up to Qaddafi, Now Call For His Head

    In the Senate, those demanding even harsher prosecution of the Libya war include the three amigos. John McCain, warning that “the blood of Americans is on Qaddafi’s hands,” has called for arming the insurgents, whom Joe Lieberman has praised as “freedom fighters.” Lindsey Graham wants to know why we don’t just take out the Libyan leader like Reagan tried to do: “Who would be mad at us,” he pressed Pentagon chief Robert Gates yesterday, “if we dropped a bomb on Qaddafi?”

    Here’s the curious thing about their hawkish swagger: In August of 2009 — not even two years ago — McCain, Lieberman, Graham traveled to Tripoli to shake the bloody hand of the freedom-depriving dictator they now want to assassinate. It was the highest-level meeting of Libyan and American officials since Condi Rice’s state visit in 2008. (The amigos were joined by Susan Collins who has questioned the wisdom of the war.)

    As this WikiLeaked cable details, the three amigos had a chummy visit with the Qaddafi clan: Lieberman expressed delight at the thaw in U.S.-Libyan relations: “We never would have guessed ten years ago that we would be sitting in Tripoli, being welcomed by a son of Muammar al-Qadhafi,” he said to Muatassim, the regime’s National Security Advisor. The Connecticut independent praised Libya as an “important ally” in the War on Terror, adding that “common enemies sometimes make better friends.”

    During the pow-wow, Muatasim pushed the senators for enhanced military assistance. Senator McCain assured Muatassim that “the United States wanted to provide Libya with the equipment it needs for its security,” the official notes of the meeting reveal. McCain called the U.S.-Libya military relationship “strong” and said any frustrations on the Libyan side should be weighed against the “officer training” Libyan military brass were receiving “at U.S. Command, Staff, and War colleges.”

    More troubling, the senators advised Qaddafi on how to “manage” (Lieberman’s word) the homecoming of a man with American blood on his hands — the terrorist convicted in the PanAm bombing, whom Scottish authorities would soon release under dubious medical auspices.

    Far from standing with the American vicitims of 1988 Lockerbie atrocity and their families, the three amigos instead gave their new compadre Qaddafi public relations advice on how to welcome home a terrorist without jeopardizing Libya’s newfound diplomatic standing.

    Of course, those of us who are not solely reliant on mainstream media sources and politicians’ empty rhetoric as sources of reliable information, know that the conviction of this alleged Libyan terrorist, the supposed bomber of PanAm 103 Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, was a travesty of justice in the first place (see the post with links on this topic upthread ) and would have been revealed as such in open court if his planned appeal had been allowed to proceed. Did McCain and the rest of them know it too, and was this why they were apparently not really upset about Megrahi’s return to Libya?

    Canada is investing 150billion to increase oil production. Most of that Oil will be sold to the Americans.

    Canada appears to be also increasing its capacity to use alternative energy (wind and solar power in Ontario).

    That will leave more Oil to sell to the USA.

    While it is true that Libya produces the preffered crude there are several critical factors this article neglects. Firstly, Venezuela’s exports are MORE THAN 30%+ L$ESS than refining capacity( result is exactly what occurs when a joker like Chavez takes over the industry from professionals, everytime actually) Therefore, taking over Ven would increase refined crude faster, AND the US would have much higher reserves in their own backyard.
    Secondly, the cost of transporting the refined product to the US is much cheaper from Ven than Libya. The US should want control of Ven to protect themselves from China, this should be high priority.

    The US should logically be giving priority to developing Iraq’s oil which is the only place on Earth that you can go from 3-4MNbbls/day to 7-8MN within about 5yrs. The Americans would also benefit from this via hurting IRAN, possibly bankrupting them under ideal circumstances. The Iranians are already running scared regarding their exports. (Time Fri, 22nd Apr, 2011)

    US energy policy has been abysmally lacking for more than 40yrs. They were warned in 1957 that by the 1970s they would hit peak oil production and indeed the ratio of imports to domestic production has grown steadily worse since that period.

    Wind power is a boondoggle. It is only 30% efficient, the massive farms will kill alot of migrating birds and MOST important it has the backing of those leftie/ environmentalist types that are almost ALWAYS DEAD WRONG in choosing their causes eg nuclear is bad. Total tripe to hate nuclear when fossil fuels cause 100,000 deaths+ via air pollution every year GUARANTEED! France has 75% of their power generated by nuclear in a relatively small country area and I am unaware of any problems of significance.

    Govts in Canada love to appear politically correct at all costs instead of conducting top flight research on a total cost and impact basis. It is really easy to rape peoples wallets and then waste the money on unproductive, costly projects with the most expensive “consultants”.

    The objective of the war against Libya is not just its oil reserves (now estimated at 60 billion barrels), which are the greatest in Africa and whose extraction costs are among the lowest in the world, nor the natural gas reserves of which are estimated at about 1,500 billion cubic meters. In the crosshairs of “willing” of the operation “Unified Protector” there are sovereign wealth funds, capital that the Libyan state has invested abroad.

    The Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) manages sovereign wealth funds estimated at about $70 billion U.S., rising to more than $150 billion if you include foreign investments of the Central Bank and other bodies. But it might be more. Even if they are lower than those of Saudi Arabia or Kuwait, Libyan sovereign wealth funds have been characterized by their rapid growth. When LIA was established in 2006, it had $40 billion at its disposal. In just five years, LIA has invested over one hundred companies in North Africa, Asia, Europe, the U.S. and South America: holding, banking, real estate, industries, oil companies and others.

    In Italy, the main Libyan investments are those in UniCredit Bank (of which LIA and the Libyan Central Bank hold 7.5 percent), Finmeccanica (2 percent) and ENI (1 percent), these and other investments (including 7.5 percent of the Juventus Football Club) have a significance not as much economically (they amount to some $5.4 billion) as politically.

    Libya, after Washington removed it from the blacklist of “rogue states,” has sought to carve out a space at the international level focusing on “diplomacy of sovereign wealth funds.” Once the U.S. and the EU lifted the embargo in 2004 and the big oil companies returned to the country, Tripoli was able to maintain a trade surplus of about $30 billion per year which was used largely to make foreign investments. The management of sovereign funds has however created a new mechanism of power and corruption in the hands of ministers and senior officials, which probably in part escaped the control of the Gadhafi himself: This is confirmed by the fact that, in 2009, he proposed that the 30 billion in oil revenues go “directly to the Libyan people.” This aggravated the fractures within the Libyan government.

    U.S. and European ruling circles focused on these funds, so that before carrying out a military attack on Libya to get their hands on its energy wealth, they took over the Libyan sovereign wealth funds. Facilitating this operation is the representative of the Libyan Investment Authority, Mohamed Layas himself: as revealed in a cable published by WikiLeaks. On January 20 Layas informed the U.S. ambassador in Tripoli that LIA had deposited $32 billion in U.S. banks. Five weeks later, on February 28, the U.S. Treasury “froze” these accounts. According to official statements, this is “the largest sum ever blocked in the United States,” which Washington held “in trust for the future of Libya.” It will in fact serve as an injection of capital into the U.S. economy, which is more and more in debt. A few days later, the EU “froze” around 45 billion Euros of Libyan funds.

    Even more important were the Libyan investment in the implementation of three financial institutions launched by the African Union: the African Investment Bank, based in Tripoli, the African Monetary Fund, based in Yaoundé (Cameroon), the African Central Bank, with Based in Abuja (Nigeria). The development of these bodies would enable African countries to escape the control of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, tools of neo-colonial domination, and would mark the end of the CFA franc, the currency that 14 former French colonies are forced to use. Freezing Libyan funds deals a strong blow to the entire project. The weapons used by “the willing” are not only those in the military action called “Unified Protector.”

    Can’t speak to the economic/financial intricacies of why the former French colonies (and a few others) are forced into using the CFA. The Wikipedia entry on the CFA currency, does say its value is backed by the French government. Maybe that could have something to do with it.

The powers that be in Algeria and Morocco – where pro-democracy protests continue non-stop – are already freaking out.

    The Americans have surely been beaten silly by their leaders( both parties) as you say. Every law that came out of the lessons of fiasco of the 1930s was repealled in the last 15yrs.     LIBYA 2% Oil? Says who??? Libya has only just started to deliver her oil.
    Whilst it is true that current production represent a small percentage of current world supply; Libya has a vast reservoir of un-tapped oil. Considering that Kuwait and most the other OPEC (Organisation of Petroleum countries) have been pumping excessively for a very long time and many of them running low. I think it is reasonable to calculate that that Libya’s potential ‘supply’ represents a far higher percentage…certainly in the double figures.

    I know that I am coming from a different mindset than usual. But all of these historical events are symptoms. They are not coincidental or accidental. They are well played out like a chess board.
    The analysis has shown that historically the west, in particular the US has meddled in Sovereign countries affairs, for the sake of economical and political control, via a compliant puppeteer. And when that puppeteer has lost its usefulness or becomes less compliant then conspiratorial attempts are made to remove and replace them with another puppeteer.

    Are you suggesting that Evangelical preaching = lack of SUBSTANCE and reference this to Molefi: Asante and me referring to his speech as passionate and concerning? Perhaps I should have used the word CONVICTION instead. Yet are you stating that there was nothing of SUBSTANCE presented in the video? In my humble opinion I would have to disagree.

    Characterisation of the people involve were given. Their plight and intent was laid out before the viewer to consider. What I got from the speech was that they were committed drive for unity amongst these African countries by Gadhafi in particular, not just in words but financially as well. Now can a bad person do good things of course but the focus here is a matter of substance.
    Perhaps you are more abreast to what is really going on but for you to simplify your view with “Lack of Substance” is less informative.

    I see it so often in replied comments in blogs “nonsense”, “rubbish”, in your case “lacking substance”. But never a sound clarification; as to why that was to be the case. So my original point was why you don’t fill in the gaps where Asante was insubstantial.

    However, the bottom line is that there is a bigger picture going on and the desperate plight for FREEDOM (rightly so) by the people are being manipulated like pawns on the New World Order Chess Game.     You speak of Saddam: Hussein being removed by the US (Which they obviously did) and his crime was being a dictator of a small proportion (22%) of population.

    But a history lesson tells me this. It is well documented that Saddam: Hussein has a long history of being supported by the US.

    My individual view is that the first gulf war was warning to Saddam to remember who put him there, so play ball with the access to the oil or we will remove you. But Saddam held his ground. Then the sanctions came (I bet Saddam wish he hadn’t touch the Kurds at that point -it gave the US an ace of international opinion of condemnation towards him) but Saddam still held his ground. Then 9/11 came, perfect, let’s get him. And got him they did.

    But now the heated blood has cooled, let’s take an assessment of what happened.
    1) An out of favour dictator of a Sovereign nation (an illegitimate violation of a Sovereign nation is a violation of all) was accused of a crime he did not commit. The injustice of one is the injustice of all.
    2) His Sovereign country was invaded by a fallen out of business partner, who accused him of having Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) which were never found. The falsifying of evidence is an act of perjury and the perversion of justice.
    3) On top of the deaths by STARVATION and DISEASE due to the SANCTIONS -many further DEATHS by the MILLIONS have followed -all on FALSE EVIDENCE and an UNJUSTIFIED INVASION. The senseless callous loss of one life is ONE LIFE TOO MANY.
    4) Saddam and his officials were tried and sentence to death for offences which had nothing to do with 9/11 or WMDs. The is LAW bias to JUSTICE not REVENGE.
    5) Saddam was then placed in front of national and international television and hung for the world to see. An opportunity to climb, from his level of compassion, we (The world ) dear not travel.

    My dear Moneybrain (Brother in soul and spirit) are we to believe that this was for the greater good? Who’s GREATER GOOD? Is it the child who miraculously survived but parents did not? Is it the child who’s scarred for life; or lost a leg; or an eye; or is brain damaged; or without fingers?

    What about morality and the rule of Law?

    Moneybrain, the day that Saddam: Hussein committed those terrible offences against the Kurds -that was the day the US should have put him on trial.

    Sense of humour aside, this is a crucial quantum leap that Wo/Men is, and has to take towards his/her FREEDOM. And that is to recognise that there is no EQUALITY in DEMOCRACY.

    a) Prescribes to the rule by the people not the rule of Law -hence peoples rules will always be subject to change.

    b) Prescribes that 51% of the people can deny 41% of the people -Hence a genuine need might be taken away or denied.

    c) Is the hidden foothold to tyrannical rule -Hence hidden and open manipulation to sway public opinion of the REMOVAL of freedom is NECESSARY for safety.

    d) Did not prevent slavery but in point of fact encouraged it -Hence many black (an unfit term quite adequately expose in any available dictionary) cultures of that time democratically choose to sell other blacks into slavery.

    If that is not enough to break the chains of a universal LIE that was indoctrinated into us by and by the UN-EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM of the enemy. Then I leave you with this adopted analogy and present it in two halves.

    Part 1
    Three wolves and a lamb are deciding who is for dinner. Now in a Democracy the lamb will indeed protest but wolves will say we take your protest under advisement but by unanimous decision we will eat you. And so the lamb is subsequently lamb stew.

    Sounds familiar? The DLP not doing this, the BLP not doing that, why is the PDC not listening to my needs -on and on we protest and we debate and we draw our allegiances but still more fire fighting is all we get and lack of hair from scratching our heads in hope of a better government in another four or five years -then off we go again.

    Part 2.
    In a rule of Law (A Republic) the three wolves MUST PROTECT the lambs right’s not to be eaten. That’s it period.

    Government would be limited to doing one thing only -to protect individual’s rights. That’s it period. The extent of those rights is that where my rights end yours begins and any breach the government will protect. And if the DLP didn’t do that, they would be removed. And if the PDC didn’t do that they would be removed. And if the BLP didn’t do that they would be removed. And if there was malfeasance or fraud etc (as most cases there is) in officer then they are trial before their peers and if unanimously found guilty they go directly to jail. If it was on their watch either they bring forth who is responsible or they take responsibility. No plausible denial-ability for they, no pardon no exemption out of office nonsense. The scale of justice must be balanced.

    So Moneybrain, in a world of lambs (as we seem to be so often) which governmental structure would you choose? It’s a no-brainer (no pun intended) isn’t it? Unless of course -you are a wolf.

    You are what you say you’re. Like a scorpion who can judge it from giving a sting with its tail, because it’s a scorpion. So Moneybrain -it’s all about the money for you. I suspect that its oil, nuclear, gold, silver etc. Suspicion being the operative word with me of course.

    But my gosh, your rhetoric is so capitalistic at the rejection of any moral, human, or even ethical justification.

    On and on you go about US should do this and the US should do that. But let’s look at some of the statements you have made. US (not to be confused with America) should manage Iraq’s, and Venezuela’s oil. US should stop China from getting access to Libya’s oil because it would be more oil for US. Iran wants to get Iraq and Saudi oil. Am I right? And then what?

    Firstly whose oil is it? One thing your moral fibre does not seem to acknowledge even though you say it -which is that the oil in point of fact does not belong to the US. It belongs to Sovereign countries with right to do with and sell to whom they pleased. I suspect that your market of trade is via US interest and therefore if the US doesn’t get control then Moneybrain becomes Moneydrain.

    I have no time for greed. Those countries should be allowed to sell their all to whomever they wish. Also tell me what country has China or Iran invaded of late? Do you see China sending battleships or army battalions or navy or military attack drones to Libya? No!

    What China does from my distant observation, is negotiate mutual benefits with these countries towards mutual success. Even on my visit in 2008 I observed China doing business in Barbados. I didn’t see any China army or navy though.

    But US -oh boy the US. “It is all on their terms or we will crush you” as history shows. And as usual they use every mechanism such as the corruptible dollar; media propaganda; armed rebels (usually guns for hire) to get what they want.

    We’ve got enough of US historical shenanigans to be more than suspicious. I can’t speak Chinese but tell me has China spent billions to topple Sovereign countries? Not that I know of. But let’s see, how about the US?

    Moneybrain you so implied that there is no risk to humanity with the introducing of nuclear power plants, and used yet another absurd rational to make your point. Notwithstanding the conspiratorial elements behind it -that HAARP caused it. But even if as a natural occurrence -the Japan nuclear tragedy highlighted the vulnerability not just to Japan but to the rest of the world.

    If it was HAARP then shame on them. But if it was a natural disaster -who can predict where to place a nuclear power plant where it would not be affected by an earthquake -such as it did? Can anyone? The danger created by that event may never be truly heard because we occupy a system where politicians and officials can Legally tell us lies instead of Lawfully tell us the truth.

    But I continue to say these are all symptoms. The issues are of multi-interest; multi-faced; even multi-dimensional. Subsequently, Moneybrain your philosophy of money first, won’t solve any of these problems. But again, with my suspicion, that wouldn’t bother you. As long as you get your money who cares about anything else.

    Back to your rational on fossil fuels -this disturbs me. Yes “fossil fuels cause 100, 000+ deaths via pollution every year guaranteed”. Come on! Just because that is so doesn’t make for the argument that nuclear technology is better. In fact should we not be more cautious of making the same mistakes of not predicting the knock-on effects of such technology? Well prediction is over! We just have to look to Chernobyl’s human error and now Japan’s Mother Nature disaster.

    GREED
    The only people who favour nuclear power technology are those in an office with their share options or those who work in the power plants industry.

    It is not the people who live nearby that gradually see a deterioration of their family’s health or DNA mutation or milk contamination etc. It is not the people who live with the anticipation of what if something goes wrong with the plant -will I survive? What about the escaping of contaminated water in to fisheries that threatens fishing in such waters. How about the risk of drinking contaminated water? How about ignoring the fact that the contamination (Isotopes) remains in the area for centuries if not eternity -as well as spreads through the atmosphere indiscriminately around the world? How about the shortened life span for those being exposed? How about the innocent deformed children (always the innocent children that get caught up in this worldly mess) that are resulted?

    Perhaps this would be of no significance to you. It’s nothing personal, it’s just business; I hear you say? What’s that? Let’s just invest in the companies that have the impossible task to clean up the mess; I hear you say? Yes I am psychic -I can read your money brain.
