We are going to hear a lot more from Pakistan in the not too distant future. It is the most dangerous country in the world? Why? Because it has nuclear weapons and some nut is going to seize power there and ignite the flames of a “holy war” with India and then we descend into nuclear Armageddon. If that scenario doesn’t play out the nukes will fall into the hands of some Islamic terrorists who have sympathetic friends in the Pakistani ISI or the Pakistani military.

The two recent murders of politicians who were campaigning against the blasphemy laws made International news but in reality the majority Sunni discriminate against all religious minorities in Pakistan and that includes Shias. There is a wave of religious violence against these minorities including murder; arson and rigged prosecutions which you won’t read about in your daily newspaper.

General Zia- Ul- Haq who was President from 1977-1988 is responsible for the Islamisation of Pakistan. His Gov’t saw the extension of Sharia law throughout Pakistan and he also is responsible for the blasphemy law which has led to the death of many more people.

It will get worse….

The issues in Pakistan are far greater than religious extremism. Although one may argue that this is the same place that Bin Laden gound ‘safe refuge’, the thing is, ANYONE is in danger in Pakistan.

It is tremendously unstavle, with a strong ewcwbr history of assassination i.e. Benazir’s Bhutto, her own brother when she was alive AND PM.

Arguably Pakistan is even more unstable than most other Middle East states.

When the administration there was seemingly supporting the US in the fight against the Taliban, the country was also supporting the Taliban as ‘safe refuge’.

Stating that the Government is one thing and the tribal leaders another is merely getting into semantics, indeed, some have their suspicions as to the true position of the Government in that scenario.

While one may argue on who should and who should not have nuclear weapons, Pakistan is one place that does make me nervous.

Many Pakistanis believe that Pakistan will implode. When the state of Pakistan was formed, many were backward and illiterate. Today nothing has changed. It is a collision of civilizations, the stone age vs the modern age.

Have always wondered how Omar is allowed to operate as a King would in a Kingdom. The guy holds press conferences with international media for godsake.

The problem with the Muslim extremist is that they don’t know how or when to laid down their arms. Their inhumanity towards each other when it comes to religious freedom of speech is tantamount to insanity.

Question : Where is the proof to support such a theory? Who is “the special designer”

Perhaps 40 acres is just venting his frustration at the state we find ourselves as a human race.

@CH, I have no evidence for my claim just a theory I formulated based on the absurdities and pardoxes concerning mankind.I am an agnostic with a biased toward a special designe. And even then I am perturbed to the core to even entertain this notion at times. Because how could this great designer unleashed upon this wonderful earth a animal called homo sapiens with so many flaws and vices and yet still create nature, the cosmos and the infinite with such precision, harmony and beauty.

The same could be said that we are a mutation of an evolution process gone wrong. When you look at how we treat our kind , I dear say we have nothing on the animals in the wild. It’s all that’s wrong with mankind that I staked the claim that our fate of self-annihalation is sealed.

If you think it is against the principles of many religions to kill your fellow man then it stands to reason that one shouldn’t blame religion when a man kills in it’s name.
That’s the only point I’m making.

Sikh temple shooter was Army veteran, white supremacist

WASHINGTON — The man who gunned down six people at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin on Sunday was an Army cast-off and a known white supremacist, but law enforcement officials said they had no warning of his violent temper or intentions.

Federal investigators said Wade Michael Page, 40, killed six worshippers and critically wounded three others, including a police officer, at a temple in a Milwaukee suburb before being killed in a firefight with local law enforcement. The incident was the second mass shooting in less than a month, though investigators have not linked the Wisconsin tragedy to any other event……………….. .
Page reportedly came to Milwaukee following a girlfriend, who is also affiliated with the white supremacist movement, according to Jenna Benn, the Anti-Defamation League’s assistant regional director in Chicago.

The Anti-Defamation League has been monitoring Page for years for his outspoken involvement in the white supremacist group Hammerskin Nation, which the ADL reports has a history of violence and hate crimes since it’s inception in Dallas in the 1980s.
