  1. Terrence it is definitely that we have been brainwashed and socialized to believing that we need milk. What a BIG HOAX! We are just pawns for the Dairy Industry. Some medical doctors have stated that the species that produce milk, produce it only for their offspring, and that we do not need it past a certain age. This makes sense and all this nonsense about how good milk is is a load of crap!

  2. How good is cow’s milk?
Cow’s milk contains protein and vitamins but can be found in other provisions/sources other than milk.
Milk should be avoided at all cost, something all public should do, but the stakeholders will produce research which shows how important milk is.
Yesterday we were told the yellow in eggs was bad; today we are told the whole egg is good for us. Red wine is good and then it is bad; chocolate is bad and now it is good.
For many years cows have been injected with hormones to increase milk production and this has been having a negative effect on some people.
Last year I read an article where a government minister or the Prime Minister of that country was concerned with the high number of boys sprouting breast and girls as young as 10yrs showing womanhood.
    Is this not disturbing?
Perhaps the cause is something different; but what people are consuming on a daily basis from ordinary tap water, soda drinks, milk and other basic foods like bread, poultry products must be of great concern to every person on every continent on this earth.
This will continue because we have become aclimatized to the easy way; readymade, readydone.
Should we have seen this coming?
UK, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland to name a few were all independent of each other laws. They have all joined to become ONE, (European Union)! The laws are now fashioned in the European Parliament.
The EU Parliament now decides the size/quality of the fruits/vegetables sold on the market.
Cucumbers must be stright and not curved, etc.
We have not the slightest of idea what is in our (food),meat, vegetable or drinks, including tap water.
In earlier postings some alluded to planting your own or buying from the lady by the roadside, but can we be absolutely sure she did not use sprays of some kind,(pesticides & herbicides or perhaps living close to a person who is?
I would like to hear how this tide can be turned now; Personally I can’t see it; something tells me it is too late for all of us.

  3. Pure Bolicks! That is my take on the milk affair.Lots of us grew up on cow’s milk even without all the purification .All you did was warm it and drink it .There are so many contradictions that it boggles the mind.

  4. @ Raymond
“There are so many contradictions that it boggles the mind…”

In another thread we were discussing whether BAJANS were educated fools and it seems the jury is still out apparently…

What I find remarkable is that the Barbadian consumer (with all their educational prowess) tend to choose darkness over light.

The PINE HILL DAIRY* could very well be selling the majority of the population milk from “CLONED” cows and no one would know a damn thing – WHY? because it is still not clear-cut whether your FOOD STANDARDS AGENCY* closes a blind eye to the shenanigans of food companies allowing them to get away with bad practices regarding proper labeling and/or whether the so-called MEDIA* on the island are vigilant about investigating the sources from which a lot of food comes…

It seems like BU has become the “ONLY” lighthouse for a people who seem to frankly not give a “shit”…

Let the Pine Hill Dairy be put in the “dock” to prove whether the milk they IMPORT* comes from reputable “ORGANIC” sources and let the Bajan public know what they are consuming (by the way that goes for all “IMPORTED” food products)…

    Moreover, to answer your concerns…

In the 1960’s when most of us were either born or growing up through to the 1980’s – MILK* still had a modicum of purity to it given that “RAW MILK” was still a source of good nutrition especially from grass-fed, “ORGANICALLY” reared cows who were free from dangerous antibiotics and all kinds of CRAP*…

Today, “WEIRD” biotech science, mass production & unethical farming practices in an effort to boost profits and company bottom-lines have resulted in – COWS EATING OFFAL (resulting in the BSE in the 90’s); CLONED* cows which can produce bigger udders, hence more milk but with that has come greater need for ANTIBIOTICS* to remove PUS* from the animal’s milk producing organs; and the sad irony is that as consumers we REFUSE* to accept the realities of what modern-day genetically modified ANIMAL* products are doing to our HEALTH…

Brother man, we can go ahead and choose IGNORANCE* at our own peril – the choice is an individual thing!!!

  5. @ Paradox

“I would like to hear how this tide can be turned now; Personally I can’t see it; something tells me it is too late for all of us…”

Life & death have become capitalist industries…

We have somehow since the Enlightenment Period of 16th, 17th & 18th centuries been able to “MONETIZE” life and death…

Now in the 21st century, we have a problem on our hands with a spiraling population reaching 7 billion mouths to feed and everybody wanting a piece of chicken, a hamburgers, a latte – you name it!!!

On the fringe end of the spectrum are those who have always dwelt in the “SHADOWS” since those early centuries – we call them EUGENICISTS*…

Their single ambition is the systematic removal of TWO-THIRDS of mankind by any means necessary but moreover to do it in away that would profit their cause ECONOMICALLY – whether through world wars, genocide, hunger & starvation, sickness & disease or some other form of subliminal extermination…

So even though my friend you may think that we are “up the creek” (and I am sure others can find more colorful language to explain it – LOL), my belief is simply this: we must take individual responsibility for ourselves and our families’ health and well-being at any cost especially in the area of what we consume…

I still believe – “you are what you eat as much as you are what you think”…

  6. @ DAVID

Thanks for posting the Powerpoint at such sort notice – I do appreciate it…

I didn’t have time to “proofread” and in the “heading” COW should have an apostrophe (‘S)…

    Muchas gracias!!!

Lest you forget, one’s opinion is still one’s opinion. You go aghead and take Pine Hill Diary to the Dock but put ya money where ya mout is.It is too late as most consumers are resigned to accept what they get clones or not.
