On the 27 May 2008 BU published a blog titled Sir Richard Cheltenham’s Vanishing Act In The Jippy Doyle Affair. We were higly critical of Sir Richard Cheltenham for the role he played in frustrating the system which saw the Jippy Doyle Case delayed for seven long years. It must have been gratifying for the victim of the rape when he was today unanimously found guilty by a jury of his peers comprised of five women and four men.

The BU household can only sympathize with the 13 year old victim at the time. The mental disequilibrium she must have suffered in the intervening seven years we can only describe as undeserving. We are told that Jippy Doyle has been remanded to Dodds where our new prison is located. We take this opportunity to urge Chief Justice David Simmons to initiate an investigation into why this case was stretched-out over seven years. We also would encourage the victim to initiate legal action against the relevant government entity to redress an obvious wrong.

There is another famous case in the local court system which is approaching one year, the case of Roy Morris will be monitored in the blogosphere to ascertain if it follows the path of Jippy Doyle. In light of the discussion around Barbados about corruption in high places, we are expectant that several other high-profile cases will feature in the coming weeks and months.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

  1. I am so disappointed in the way that the barbadian people put faith in the evangelical bastards instead of the information they give. Jippy Doyle is a cult leader and I wish him many trials and tribulations within the relms of his new home .
Judging from the islam way . Any individual who have been trusted with the secred talent of spreading the word of god , and does nonsense like what that pagan has done to the 13 year old girl should be put to death .

He should not be going to prison but to a pine box.

    Kaalif,

The confuslon and barbarity existing within Islam and the Islamic world can in no way held as a positive model.

  3. Peace to all of you! I respect all of your opinions, and direction? But you know what, I am going to trust the Lord for direction on this one!RESPECT!

  4. The Scout, that is a shocking confession that you quote, and the individual in question deserves the judgement that he will get. But it begs the question: is this the rule, or the exception?

Even ONE occurrence such as you described is TOO MANY, and for a priest to boast about it is shameful, but I wonder if the widespread sexual abuse of under-age girls is as prevalent as Mr. Hall suggests. I certainly hope that he is wrong.

  5. “His reason, when they grow old and they walking the street, they have to respect him because he is the one who broke them in. ” The Scout August 6, 1:29 p.m.

If a priest did indeed make this statement then he not only mistaken but he is a paedophile making excuses for his crimes against girls and young women.

Girls and women (and boys) do not respect their sexual abusers. They hate and despise them. If priests such as this are commonplace then no wonder churches have difficulty in finding and keeping members.

  6. Kalif I with you all the way N.B I am not one of the Islam faithfuls but I like you all tolerance level when it comes to these ‘incidences’

  7. “Even ONE occurrence such as you described is TOO MANY, and for a priest to boast about it is shameful, but I wonder if the widespread sexual abuse of under-age girls is as prevalent as Mr. Hall suggests. I certainly hope that he is wrong.”

    Diaspora-ite,
It is not the exception. It happens often. Some parents are aware but are ashamed because of status and the belief that the victim would not be believed and also suffer ridicule at the hands of parishoners or followers. SEE HOW JIPPY DOYLE’S FOLLOWERS BEHAVED DURING HIS TRIAL? Under age girls are not the only victims. Big hardback women and boys too.

  8. Islam the better way— The things you see on TV are evidence of islam EXTREMIST . We have EXTREMIST in all religions buddy . Look at David Kareesh [Waco USA] , initially he was seen as a born again christian. He also had many followers.

I would like to say one thing , I am impressed with this blog . At one time I use to compare this blog to the gossip type printed media . But I have realized that 95% of the contributions on this blog is factual

  9. I can give you many many more stories of priest/pastors who ravish their young girls and the parent/s are too involved in the church to see what’s going on. The girls say nothing because the parent/s would not believe them or would blame them for the occurance. In some caeses some parents force their young daughters on these persons for prestege and position within the church.
I know of a recent divorce between a priest and his wife caused mainly through his association with one of his parishianers. He is STILL a priest/pastor.

  10. The media, especially CBC, ought to castigated for aiding persons like Jippy Doyle in spreading their “gospel” when it is obvious that they are frauds. Do you remember Rudder? Ask CBC what was newsworthy about him?

    Kalif,

It’s unfortunate that Muslims like yourself, have to apologise for the barbarity of Islam and blame it on “biased press”
Yes, Christianity has its negatives and frauds, but it appears Muslims would have us believe that Islam is the cure to man’s woes.

Islamic brothers despise one another and are killing one another by the droves in the Middle East. But, then, that’s just CNN/BBC propaganda.
Matey, do your homework, Islam was founded in blood. It can’t change.

  12. What an uplifting speech -islam the better way- You are a talented person ,you should be a millionaire by now. You are a good judge ,a good historian , a good archeologist and a good philosopher … Bravo !!!!

This is the last comment I will have in your direction, because you have shown to the readers that you are one of Jjippy Doyles lieutenants. Have a nice day sir

  13. Mr. Kaleef.. you forgot one thing when ur were describing ” Islam the better way” talents. You forgot one thing by the way….. that he or she is a good asshole

  14. That cunning old fox, Jippy Doyle is up to his tricks again. After failing to lie his way out of jail, he seems to be using his tricks to get a good probation report. He’s on a mission to convert to whole of Dodds prisons, and have the magistrates fooled. I wish it was true but I want to hear him come to the public and apologise forhis actions and lies before the God that I worship would use him in such a way . This man is extremely dangerous and deviant.

  15. Scout, dont you believe in forgiveness and repentance?

He aint de first man o de cloth dat tief a lil piece from a young girl and he aint de last neither. He’s been dealt with by the judicial system. Now it’s time to forgive him. Cheese-on-bread!

  16. Our position on his is from the media coverage perspective. Our friends on Fontebelle had a blackout on this story for nearly 7 years and now the ex-pastor has been incarcerated his every move is news. Makes us go hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

There is no way he should be getting this coverage but opportunism and sensationalism are key ingredients to sell newspapers. We wait for them to cover the Roy Morris story.

  17. Scout,
Think this could be possible? That he was ordained to go to prison to bring the message to the prisoners?
Could this be how fate would have it, that is, his transgression as a means of spreading the Word?
Not saying it is. But just wondering. What are your thoughts?

  18. David .. I know that you can see the light . I agree with you 100% Some person paying the media to print that mans fraudulant acts to soften up the hearts of the public. To Mr. Doyle and his followers, we can see through your transparent cheap tricks ,jippy is who want saving , I hope when they sentence him , he is placed in a ‘bullah nest’

  19. Does anyone know who would have given permission for Jippy Doyle a soon to be convicted rapist to teach the ‘word’ in our prison? Did prison boss John Nurse give the green light?

The next question we have is who would have tipped-off the Nation about this activity? What is the motive behind the exposure for Doyle. Is it to show how he has quickly acclimatized to prison activity at Dodds?

  20. But Eddie if it was ordained that Jippy Doyle should witness in prison, why didn’t he plead guilty 7 years ago so that he could get to prison faster and do “God’s work” faster. Instead he spend 7 years and Lord knows how much money trying to stay out of prison.

  21. Dear Anonymous:

    “We” cannot forgive Jippy.

Only the person who has been sinned against can forgive the sinner.

And this forgiveness can only come after the sinner has repented.

I see no evidence that Jippy has repented.

And even then it would be up to the young lady whom he raped to forgive him or not.

None of us can or should make her feel that she must forgive him.

And none of us should be so impertinent as to feel that we can offer Jipy forgiveness on her behalf.

  22. J,
He probably didn’t get a vision.

  23. David,
Honestly, I see nothing wrong if Jippy decides to “preach the Word” during his stint. At least he would be doing something uplifting for the prisoners. I believe this would help in the rehabilitation process.

If I were in his position, it would be extremely humiliating.

Come to think of it, it might not be embarrassing for him. He had a rape charge on his head and still performed as a TV evangelist and pastored a church.

But even saying that, I believe it would be good therapy for the inmates (if they are prepared to listen to him)

  24. There’s a rumour that jippy doyle is on ward b5! Anyone hear that and if so for what reason? hmmmmmm

  25. Well ..I for one think that if he is saving souls up Dodds, then maybe he should get the maximum time for his crime.
That way Dodds would be a changed place by the time he gets out.
Everyone saying poor Jippy but what about the lady he raped?

  26. re There’s a rumour that jippy doyle is on ward b5! Anyone hear that and if so for what reason? hmmmmmm

B5 is for orthopaedics. You mean he got broken bones?

  27. c5 sorry, not b5; that was my bad Mr. Ganong!

There are some rumours going around anyone heard anything.

Some one in the medical profession told me this I don’t know how true! sorry about the typo! anybodyu heard anything!

  28. Technicians you feel ‘sensible real’ people saying poor jippy…….stupse I wid u he should get some more time since he doing so much good up there and I hope the rumor I hear is true too (leave the bloggers to think on that one).

  29. Oh C5 is a medical ward.

  30. things that really makes you go hmmmmmm! Oh by the way which God do you serve, or do you serve God at all?Oh I am just curious.

David know one can comprehend the mind of Yahweh!

J! Joseph never pleaded guilty, as a matter of fact Potiphar knew about Joseph’s innocent cause his wife confessed her wrong doings to him. But suddenly can you begin to think about it? What would have happened to Joseph, had Potiphar pardon him? Wouldn’t he still be in Potiphar’s house as a servant? Potiphar’s personal prize possession! God allowed Joseph to go to prison for two reasons, 1. to deal with his pride, to become more humble. 2. So that he could be in the right place for his appointed moment! Kind of like a rocket launching pad, to launch him in to his purpose, to reach his destiny, to maximize his potentials. God is indeed awesome! I said he is awesome!

Hi Eddie what’s up? God bless ya!

To all you bloggers remember vengance is not ours it is the Lord’s! ONE LOVE, ONE GOD, PEACE AND SUMMISSION TO YAHWEH!

  31. I don’t believe that the Rev. Doyle, is on C5 or B5, trust me i would know , via my wife she is in the medical faternity, and works at QEH , on one of those floors.

  32. Scout, that first question, which God do you serve? was for you!

  33. evanchef
You ask me which God I serve?
For me there is ONLY ONE GOD. The creator , the master of earth, heaven and the entire universe , the alpha and the omega. He is my God.

  34. @ Evanchef…
I have asked you once and I will ask you again, are you a Jehovah Witness?
Since you questioned Scout and was answered, I see no reason why you cant answer this.

  35. Thanks I heard the rumour so I asked a question! I SORRY IT AINT TRUE!

    Evanchef check youselve yea!

I swear on my children’s life that if any one has commits such an offence to my daughter, I will BLOW THEM TO f–k AWAY!

Judge me evenchef now! the shoe aint fitting your foot so you dont know the pain!

One of my friends was renovating his house and left a scaffle beside of his daughters window and someone raped her and mash up all of her insides now the child does not want to come outside! Up to this day not a boy charged!

If I know who it is I will smile all the f***ing way to Dodds! Dont doubt me my friends that know me know that I would!

Come on this blog talking as if you aren’t a human and dont have female relatives!

Stupessss leh dem try dah one with me stupesssss

  36. Hello Evanclef,

    Thanks for the shout.

Haven’t heard you for a while, prior to your comments above. What happened?

  37. Where in the Word does it say that Potiphar’ wife confessed her wrong doings to Potiphar?

On what Biblical basis do you opine that God allowed Joseph to go to prison for two reasons, 1. to deal with his pride, or to become more humble?

I will accept that Joseph was in the right place for his appointed moment, however.

We must speak where the BIble speaks, and be silent where the BIble is silent.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Please, have your own opinions, but do not mishandle the Word of God, there is no where recorded that Potiphar’s wife confessed to him. If this is so kindly show me to the chapter and verse. I will stand corrected.

The Word of God is a serious thing and must not be mishandled or misrepresented at any cost.

  39. Evanclef might not have been totally right in all of his points re. Joseph, but there might be some truth to the humility bit.
Joseph, coming from a background of being his wealthy father’s favouite son, I am sure must have been humbled at being a slave, servant and eventual prisoner in Egypt.

There is a parallel with Moses’ 40 years of exile with his father in law – the inculcation of humility. Without this trait, one can never be a follower of Christ.
(Aa an aside, that is why theories such as Evolution will never produce humble people. This is because the theory promote “looking away from the Source of life; fostering pride and self-reliance).
I agree with the general tenet though: Speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where it is silent.

  40. Why is everyone being, conveniently, silent about Jippy Doyle’s recent experience. He deserves it an MORE.

  41. @Brat

We have heard some snatches of information that Jippy has had to spend some time in hospital as a result of homosexual activities which are known to occur in prisons. On behalf of the BU household we don’t condone such behaviour. A citizen who have been incarcerated should be able to do the time without being subjected to this peripheral activity.

  42. Eddie
There is nothing in the Genesis record to indicate that Joseph was not humble. Although not expressly mentioned as a type of Christ, there are more similarities of Joseph’s life with that of Jesus, and in deed many more than the case of Moses who is definitely a type of Christ.

Many commenters state that Joseph was proud because of his status in the paternal house and his sharing his dreams with his household. But I find Joseph to be the obedient son, who went to the plains of Shechem as asked, and as the suffering servant who descended into the pit, Potiphar’s house and to the prison house before being exalted to the palace.

This is parralleled in the great Christological passage of Philippians 2:5-11 where Paul describes the “mind of Christ” and the glory that was its reward. From the beginning Joseph had the mind of Christ, and it is repeatedly said of him………The Lord was with Joseph!

Joseph might very well have been humbled in his experiences in the pit, Potiphar’s house and the prison house as he underwent the testing that James promises that believers will experience, but I don’t believe that Joseph was proud.

Similarly, despite his education in the great schools of Egypt, the Scriptures does not say that Moses went to the dessert to learn humility, nor does it say that one must have the trait of humility to follow Christ. Followers of Christ will over time, as they yield to the Spirit learn the mind of Christ. Followers of Christ will suffer as taught in 1 Peter especially, and tested as taught in James 1.

To become a follower of Christ one must accept him by faith as personal Savior and Lord and then continue in His Word as taught in John 8:31 and Collosians 1:23. Humility or the mind of Christ is part of the working out of this salvation as described in Phillipians 2:12&13.

Note that Paul in Phillipians 2 where in his treatise of Christ as the PATTERN for living, is speaking to the Phillipian believers. These folk to whom Paul was prescribing the “mind of Christ” were already following Christ; they had already been justified or experienced their POSITIONAL SANCTIFICATION, but were as part of thier PRACTICAL SANCTIFICATION asked to aquire the midset of Christ as they worked out thier salvation.

  43. This is something I would not normally do. But I happened to stumbled across this page. It seems like a place to express what is called Freedom of Speech. However. Judge not, lest he be Judged. Please guard your tongues and mouth. God has the final say, and this shall pass. He will be freed after his work his done, and one day, trust me one day, he will be lifted high, so high. And I am one that can not wait. People from all across the nation, including some of you negative, bad mouthing people will see his touch, his anointing for deliverance. Trust me this to shall pass, and I am waiting.

    dear Jippy the Hippy- (crite)
Here’s some texts to help you while lifting up the good book in DOdds:
“He will not suffer thy foot to be moved”
“Man shall not live By bread alone…”
    “Get thee behind me…”Mt 16:23

and here are some really interesting ones when in the middle of the night you are prostrate before hIS face (emphasis on small h)
…How he met thee by the way and smote the hindmost of thee even all that were feeble behind thee. De 25:18
    …And behold behind him a ram…Gen 22:13
now here is one you must have missed whilst doing your doctored dissertation (oops! I meant doctorate):
Spake I not unto you saying, Do not sin against the child and ye would not hear? Therefore behold also (your) blood is required GENESIS 42:22!!!!!

may his love be behind you and over you as you receive his love offering freely.
The Wages of SIn is DEATH. you lucky bastard!
Now is the acceptable time to repent, a public sin demands a public repentence! And to FAITH I have no respect for persons who defend and exalt legitimately proven guilty people like JIPPY the HIPPY, yes may he be so highly lifted up after he is released that like the monkey climbing a tree we will be able to behold his a ** and see the wonders that man has wrought, how a way has been made outa no way, LOOK how you are calling for guarding of tongues but still self righteously exalting yourself above your fellow sinners, You are waiting for Jippy but by the time he is out you may be long past 13!

Don’t mean to sound sadistic, i am just hoping Jippy gets his latter reign in the fullness of time if u know what I mean.

  46. He should have received 25 years. He sent that girr’s mother on a fool’s errand and when he knew that the 13 year old girl was alone at home he sent an evil messenger to call her to him and then he raped her. He deserves 25 years.

He is lucky to have only got 10. Let us hope that he learns an honest trade while he is in prison and let us hope that when he comes out he earns his bread by the sweat of his brow. Let us hope that for the first time in his life he does REAL WORK.

  47. Sorry, all, but the justice system just doesn’t get it. Rape is a heinous act of violence. Rape of an innocent underage person is even worse. 10 years is just a slap on the wrist. It’s a disgrace.

  48. Peldownman
Yes, rape is heinous and should be severely punished. What is also just as bad is the covering up of such alleged incedence. While I’m satisfied that partial justice is done in this case what happen to the other case that is adjourned SINE DIE? Is there still a different law for the Medes and the Persians?

  49. Hallelujah, praise de Lord, someone please say ‘Amen’.
He should be thrown in jail and throw away the key. I was always suspicious of him and others of his ‘likes’. He like all the others are very phoney and copy-cats of the American Televangelist, who I have my doubts about too. How dare you Jippy? She should be related to me and you wouldn’t have gone before the lawcourts without some sort of injuries. You are a wicked bitch and all your ‘followers’ who are religious fanatics just like you and your kind, all of them wanted jailing just like you for disturbing the peace every time you went to court. I hope you get a good bulling up at Dodds, bitch.
I wish this innocent young lady all the best and I know that she will get pass this in time to come. Many blessings my dear.
TALK ‘BOUT SHEEP IN WOLF’S CLOTHING.

  50. boredickey
By the way, I love de name.
To quote you ‘the fast bowler now bowling for Jesus’ is another fraud too. I remember in his hey-day, he was a womaniser too.He was a charmer, yes and he thought that he could sell ice to the eskimoes. At fourteen years of age, I remember him making sexual advances to me and he was a big ‘hard-back’ man. This is back in the 70’s man. As a man once said ,’ if two men stick me up and one has a gun, the other a bible, I would keep my eye on de one wid de bible’. (chuckle, chuckle)
    How ya like ma?
