I went to the site that is recommended by your own, containing Gary and Angela Cole’s work, and I must say that much of it contains anti-Semitism. I will not express any opinion as to Angela’s/Gary’s sanity, but I will tell you that this work contains a large number of anti-Semitic things.

Here’s a few examples:

Help the children of Iraq

What would you say is wrong with this sentence?

Zionist cause? Hello? David, it is late. I can go through this site and probably find hundreds of anti-Semitic things in it. Do what you think is best.

We received the above note from a member of the BU family. The person is commenting on the blog (Works of Gary & Angela Cole) which we currently have listed on our sidebar. Some of you should remember Gary Cole who submitted some fairly provocative articles (I, II, III) carried on BU during the general election period in January 2008. Before some of you ask, he has promised to continue with his submissions. To be fair to the person who has expressed the strong concern that the Works of Gary & Angela Cole blog has anti-Semitic positions, we have decided to ask members of the BU family for feedback. Do you agree with the note writer that BU should censor this blog? There is some other information which was submitted but we edited because it would identify the person who wrote the note.

Its your call, should we de-list the blog from BU’s sidebar?

    You are a master of manipulation, twister of history and omission of facts. I don’t waste my time with people like you. I honour and respect HONESTY.

    If you want to enlighten yourself, read some writings by none other than Noam Chomsky, my favourit Jew. I flew to Boston to hear him give a lecture. I guess he will carry all the labels you outline above. lol.

    there is no tribe or people who are righteous. jews, just like muslims, christians, atheist and sometimeschurchgoers were and still are guilty of fundamentalism. maybe if the media aired videos or highlight stories of jews committing acts of terror too this vibe would not be felt. seems as tho jews are the special ones. i have nothing wrong with them, but good gracious me, they did and still does wrong in the middle east.

    just finished reading Richard North Patterson’s New York Times Bestseller “Exile”

    Its a fiction thriller which is a real page turner.

    It also is a wonderful balanced political account of the circumstances that all factions find themselves in Israel today.

    Entertaining and politicllay informative, this book is highly recommended.

    I liked your last post, so I’m hoping you don’t realize how crass and condescending that sounds, Pat.

    Think about it again for a minute.

    Now consider the following:

    White American woman, hostile to contemporary black culture, says:

    “Bill Cosby, my favourite Black”.

    Or:

    White man, hostile to contemporary South Africa, says: “Nelson Mandela, my favourite Black”.

    Get my point?

    Noam Chomsky – linguist, philosopher, political activist, author and lecturer – is indeed a great man.

    He deserves far better than to be demeaningly referred to as anyone’s “favourite Jew”…

    well all I have to say is that tatank ayo whateva were the toast of this website during the election and I wondered why??? I always thought that they were rather delusional and I especially dislike the name dropping. ( The run on sentences and sudden changes in direction come a close second).

    I think they ( he, she or both ) have expressed very anti-jewish opinions but its kinda wierd how now you have a problem with them but you allowed them to trash the BLP and Mia ad nauseum.

    This is all quite strange. I personally have no interest in their website so do what you will!

    Dear Gary and Angela

    I’m sorry about this whole public debate. Please maybe someone could help you to reorganise your personal website with a view to making it acceptable?

    I bought a copy of Farnum’s Land years ago, and also some by Timothy Callender in Goddard’s carpark, so many more years ago. We could change our courses. What you are saying above is very hurtful, and the content of the site very questionable.

    We could do this, make peace out of our lives (or at least go our separate ways), take out the anger, or parhaps at least the anti-Semitism, maybe sell some books, while trying to tell our stories, and write our books.

    I just don’t want to have anti-Semitism on the rise in Barbados, bottom line, because it is a form of racism that I personally have experienced, and continue to experience.

    Help me to help you with at least some advice: Please take a close look at your site, or maybe ask a neutral person like a lawyer to have a look at it.

    My son has more patience with ignorance than I do–less carib blood.Why would you not read my books for yourself.Your polling method of gaining ithe truth is curious at best.

    Ignorance is the reason that the zionist can continue to divide and rule. I have no intention of fighting with JuJu man.

    When Aja wrote his book and called the wall that the Israelis are building an apartheid wall ,JuJU Man was only too happy to announce in the Central bank that he was the one who had called the anti defamation league,and made the accusation that the book was anti-semitic.This got the the United Nations to withdraw their launching of Aja’s book.

    My great grand mother always said..”do not fight with pigs,you will only get dirty and the pigs will like it.

    Well what i said above seems to have worked and really the delisting is another story…here’s the real story

    I think now the excitment of the elections have passed and the 100 days are up, and history is on the verge of repeating itself, mainly things are back to normal – have food prices come down? Have rents come down? What about unemployment, Crime and Corruption – give them time – thats nonsense and i argued it in the begining, things will not change, and this is an increadibly hard fight that to effect any type of meaningfull change in this political system involves inordinate herculian work. It involves breaking the mold, long held assumptions, falsely encouraged beliefs, mistaken notions, intellectual fortitude, spititual strenght and more.

    It is now clear to me in an ephiphany we writers have to relly on that sudden shock of insight.

    So here is the humble conclusion.

    I absolutely and wholeheartedly believe that by now David Thompson (David from now on) should have visted my mother and see that she is fine and set her to work on this corruption issue…if there ever is one if there ever will be one.

    Yeah she’s my mother so I’ll say that you’ll say, but as the US is struggling with the understand of the war and begining to elect its leader with reference to the war, modern politics will increasingly be influenced by scandal and corruption. So these stories that my mother has, these books and more we have as writers and the blogging , etc whatever you want to call it have value and currency and appeal and market…this is stuff that you rely on in the creative industry to sell. You never know i never know perhaps there will be books films documentaries revised histories of these very things….I dont think some of you realize the human resonace of these stories in all cultures – not just our work – but in the history and culture of the island – you know i dont like using the word)

    So if you really dont think it makes a difference that Adrian Loveridge could be threatened so public by the Barbados special security mechanism that there is no fundemental issue of government and society (and fundamentally and profoundly racists it was) for a country as Barbados you actually dont want Barbados to be a decent place. Adrian is just one in a long line, and there is the issue, do we really want to deal with the victims of all these horrible machinations of state with a politics that involves confronting the victim, i dont think so, and so whereas VC Bird in all his infinite wisdom, for there is no other leader in modern history any where in the world to have won so many consecutive free elections and remain in power unbroken for decades – remember that is what Owen was claiming to Mia i suppose that he could do…stupid.

    So If the old man in his 70s in all his wisdom, and i learned alot from him through my mother, could actually come to rely on my mother to solve the fractured inhertience of his premiership, if ultimately such an act as two sons warring for power against each other (and remember much to our personal pain VCjnr was shot in the face) to mediate and find a solution to the mantle of leadership, it made things make sense now, why that degree of honesty in Antigua from the prime minister, as great as only David could ever hope to be – ( I think you can even say VC solved equibly the problem of sugar in his country – historically the most difficult in the BWIA)

    I know when you all read a blog you dont want to see a political thesis but here it is.

    My mother has done one tenth in Antigua as what she has done in Barbados, and i was there to see it. My mother single handenly and you can ask any one in the supermarket business from Gibbs, to Alleyne, to Bourne brought the price of core food item down by 50% per cent by trading with Cuba and gettting enough Balls which none of the Caribbean left had because there were too scared of getting killed and going to cuba and bring back a 50 000 tonne motor vessel. Not Ralph Gonzalas who i meet a good few times, and is the epitome of the left in the Caribbean, not even Maurice Bishop in the end i think had the perscuity to pursue trade and not hostile diplomacy. Line the left off and all their talk, not Bobby Clarke, my good friend, and now that David as Prime Minister cannot get a single cheap cardinal healthy food stuff on the tables of Barbadian homes in two months on a priority issue that he was elected on, so why is my mother snubbed like that, and that’s economics i am not even talking about the politics of this thing – people are becoming to focus more on – i believe now like Obama and David – corruption and change.

    So as far as businesswoman, politican, defender of good, and rutheless undogged opponent,and representative of carib, my mother may be this a bit too harsh on jewish people who feel as you do, not on all of them, dont try to give the impression you are the arbitor of jew (especially when the black inhabitants of barbados may be just as semetic as you – that you carry out a genetic test and you might be surprisse one of the boy criminals you ridiculed because of their hairstyle might have as many markers as you – and looking at the film it was good to see the jewish peace and palestian activist campaigning for the end of settelements on the West Bank) It was good to see jewish people saying they have been tricked as economic migrants by the government into the West Bank with the lure of cheap housing and amenities.
    Of jewish army officers who say they are forced to watch the murder of arabs in Hebron and are to afraid of the zealotry to stop them.

    But as you know my mom made the comment (hurrah hurrah), don’t worry the playing with pigs is clearly at me not you, (smile)and the black blood and not enough Carib blood the bane of my existence. But you better come clean in all honesty and give a proper statement, as for the Motleys i treat them with dignity, i try to treat all the people we write about with dignity or we dont bother to write about them at all.

    This was a fantastic Blog and worthty of print David, this is a gem, the people, the personality the ideas, but i am not fighting with ju-ju.

    Note my mom said divide, and i dont want that to happen…honestly. The arab-israeli problem. That’s far away. Hitler etc. You know.

    It is a red herring as you say, Ju-ju, but you said to one thing – about assassination and the mossad.

    You have no degree of understanding of the contempt my mother held Carlton for running and hiding in fear of his life when Bull was killed in Iraq. Carlton went to Iraq many times in the early days when Saddam was Americans darling against Iran. My mom would get his tapped calls from Iraq.

    As for the gun, being glamourized leave that to Hollywood, i lived with 15 inch shell casing in my house, was handling detonators at 13, and although i never served in any regiment, military history is something of a special for me, and i honor the fallen of all people. So arms have valour and strenghten, and i argue with my wife and i suppose i will perhaps one day argue with my mom or children’s mother for a miltary education for my sons. Even so i take my young son to the fields of flanders, to the graveyards and beaches of Normandy and he will know the order of battle. I wish my dad had done it to me …it would have served against the indoctrination of my youth. but here is the rub.

    I am so honest, i profess for you as a pacifist and understanding of war. This is where we have agreement but, you need to be just as honest.

    You say that you are not Mossad, that my mother was too small for them, that sounds like Hollywood to me, all jewish people anywhere in the world are expected to help the Mossad when asked, and the anti-defamation League is explicitly controlled by the Mossad. When the Mossad hunted down Eichman and the nazi war criminals they expected every jew who could help to help. And that was good.

    But i have seen it work in a different way on a jewish friend of my partner who worked for the UN, a young girl, who eventually came to say she would only marry another jew, fair to say, but further when she started, sending my partner emails of blown up heads of suicide bombers she thought it was distasteful, and her jewish friend was insulted that she not participate in the joint mailing (you know that people are ignorant of the holocaust).

    Thats Mossad, not in any big way but it is out there reminding jews agitating jews, working on their conscience, soliciting drives etc. Think about it. Let the new barbadian generation live in freedom and expression, you are seeing arguements from another time and another place…i know i see them all the time…and we can talk about them but trust the young people, and let them decide their minds. You are not stopping anything.

    You all are in a Carib country only yesterday Keith Laurie, head of National Trust told me that we ate Arawaks. Arawak is a word like nigger. Maybe we could start an anti-Ameridian movement and throw out all those who say bad things about Caribs.
