Peach & Quiet is a small unpretentious ocean fronted property located in 4 acres of tropical gardens on the southern tip of Barbados. The hotel is comprised of 22 suites each containing bathroom, fan cooled bedroom with king size, two doubles or double bed, a lounge area with tea/coffee making facilities, ice box and personal safe. Facilities include a restaurant, serving breakfast and candlelit dinners, a freshwater swimming pool, bar with lunchtime snacks and the islands only sea rock pool. Don a snorkelling mask and become part of an ocean aquarium, surrounded by multi-coloured fish!

On behalf of the BU household we want to congratulate Adrian Loveridge and his wife on the achievement of his hotel reaching the #2 spot on the world rated Trip Advisor website. According to the website which is visited by would be travelers and travel agents from around the world, Peach & Quiet Hotel is currently rated #2 out of 106 hotels in its class. Whether we agree with the man who has called Barbados home for decades, he is clearly showing that he knows enough about the industry to keep his small hotel visible in a market that has become very cluttered.
Keep-up the good work and we hope you have a prosperous 2008!!!

    Thank you David and BU…

    Just to make one comment.
We are not just competing with hotels in OUR class, we are competing with EVERY other rated hotel on Barbados, entirely based on guest satisfaction levels.

As an example, the following hotels are rated:

    Sandy Lane #26

    The GEMS properties

    Savannah #50
    Blue Horizon #53
Time Out at the Gap #61

I am only pointing this out to demonstrate the policies we, and our staff , have adopted have taken a small budget hotel to the highest possible level of exposure. Not just for
Peach and Quiet, but also for Barbados.

    Thank you again.

  2. Congratulations, Adrian Loveridge .

It again shows that if you were loaned / granted the 2 million ( instead of HARDWOOD Inc ) who knows what you would of eventually achieved.

Royalrumble , should be immensely proud of your remarkable efforts on a shoe – string budget.

Talking about Royalrumble, information coming my informs that he is out & about CUSSING Owen for calling elections so soon !

Royalrumble was hoping Owen would have called David Thompson’s ” Parliament has been dissolve ” statement on 5th Dec 2007 a BLUFF !

This once again shows that Owen does not TRUST ROYALRUMBLE…….a proven IMBECILE !

Keep up the good work , Adrian.

  3. Thanks for the clarification Adrian L. In that light the achievement is even more laudable.

  4. Lynch could not run a brothel far less a hotel but he is in charge of our tourism industry. Lord help us. Adrian you are boss. Congrats on your hotel’s recognition. You are progressing even as BLP operatives threaten your livelihood. Good job.

What rating did Accra Beach Hotel achieve?

  6. David

With regard to your poll, please remember that Dr. George Belle is a card carring member of the Barbados Labour Party.

  7. George Belle is a BLP pimp. It would be interesting to find out how much he was paid for this propaganda exercise.

A few months ago 2 banks in Bridgetown were hounding him down to settle his Credit Card Debts.

I am not at all surprise that he finds COST OF LIVING as the most important concern among the electorate in his poll !!!!!

This poll exercise was designed to give him some money…….and TRY and confuse BAJANS.

However, what George Belle could not change was the fact that :

*** The % of BAJANS wanting change in gov’t is growing !

    NOW….53 %

*** The % SWING against the BLP is growing !

    NOW…..7.9 %

*** The DLP is RAPIDLY closing the gap between the BEES !

    NOW ONLY…….5 % difference !

George Belle is an advisor to Owen Arthur as Chairman of the Pan African Commission which falls under the Office of the Prime Minister.

  9. Congrats Adrian, like I said sometime before I spent a few days at your hotel some time back with an old girlfriend and had a fantastic time. (the hotel and staff were nice too) I would recommend to anyone anyday without hesitation. I think that we in barbados have to move toward people who can get the job done, and forget about partisan politics and personal agendas. Until…

  10. Beautiful hotel, and Congrats! I will pass the word around that when in Babados the place to stay is at Adrian’s fabulous Peach and Quiet Hotel. In fact I have some friends that were recently in Barbados for holiday, and if I had know of Adrian’s hotel I would have reccomended it to these friends

    Thank you Sister Baby…
    Very much appreciated.

  12. Adrian L we hate to put you on the spot but if you had to give 10 tips to other small hotels in Barbados what would they read like?

  13. Adrian Loveridge Avatar

    David…

    No Problem at all.
As follows, but not necessarily in this order.

    1) Commitment.
I see too many people trying to run three or four businesses and thinking they are all going to be successful.
Concentrate on running your small hotel well and have a purpose.

    2) Attention to detail.
Its the little things that real matter, like placing flowers on pillows and remembering what their favourite drink is.

    3) Value of Money.
Realise that there are so many ways you can extract money from people.
Our concentration is on getting a viable room rate and occupancy.
Our food and beverage prices are very reasonable and we negotiate with activity/ancillary operators to give our guests special rates.

    4) Understand that you cannot do everything yourself (but know how) and surround yourself with like-minded staff that are all working to the same common objective.

    5) Invest in a good website with beautiful pictures.

    6) Look for imaginative ways to create media intererest as travel writers are always looking for new angles.
If you have a small hotel, you do not have a big marketing budget, so you have to find others ways to generate publicity.

    7) Don’t try and be something that you are not.
Service is about attitude. To most people it don’t matter where you serve a plate from the left or right.
A genuine smile and pleasant disposition is worths millions.

    8) Make sure staff are included in decision making. Help them feel an essential part of the overall product delivery and ensure they personally benefit from the success of the business.

    9) Reward guests for loyalty. Every person that becomes a repeat guest should be made to feel cherished and important.
Each repeat guest at P & Q receives a gift (locally made). This year its a waffle dressing gown to use here and take home with them.

    10) Have a wonderful wife/husband that supports you in everything you do.
P & Q would certainly not be so successful without my incredible wife.

    David…
Other things come to mind, but these points are priorities in my mind.

  14. David…

PS: The Nation asked me to write an article about Community Tourism.
It should be in the Business Authority tomorrow (31st December).

  15. adrian loveridge should keep out of bajan politics—–straight !—-

  16. i am not political but i heard adrian giving a view on the bbc and the comments seem bias and out of touch with reality. just like david thompson adrian loveridge has convinced himself of certain things and seemed to be living in his own little world –the one he has in his head and painting a picture of barbados that only exists in his head. it is cause for concern. loveridge shut up because you are talking shyte !——i am an observer and no member of any party -never has been even though i contemplated joining both parties at some point or the either. i find that there fundamental problems with both parties from a historical and societal point of view. i really dislike the attitude of persons who form both parties. i can identify with the philosophy of the PEP but i dont know if i can trust David C
i know i cant trust David Thompson of the -DLP–he is a fake
Owen has proved himself-the politics of inclusion is correct for a place like Barbados. David Thompson should give up his quest —well i better not say that—–i was going to say he should abandon his quest to be prime minister and support Owen -but i would not say it because every man is entitled to pursue his dreams——-WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO DAVID THOMPSON -if the DLP loses or does not win this election ???????
