We have been ignoring the ranting of those commenters who prefer to engage in personal attacks towards BU and posters. We were happy to spam such comments. However, we have decided to depart from our normal action to show BU readers the sacrifice we will make when we think a cause is just. Below is a comment posted by someone purporting to be a Barbados Labour Party supporter, we do have our doubts!!

    Don’t worry BU they have sent one to BFP too.

    Over a year ago they told BFP the government will be shutting their site down in one week’s time,and when they cart them off they will be drinking champagne.

    Well one year hence they are still pulling their hair out and issuing blank threats to scare you guys off.

    If you or BFP find yourself coming up against these people – just post on one of the blogs – and I’m sure we the people will mobolise and march.

    Cowards every one of them.

    Great for exposing this creep, showing you can get down to that computer by email address, name, location etc. People have to know they can be tracked down and exposed for the “scum” they are.

    Well its a bajan IP address from C&W. What we need is a specific time in which it was logged and a friend at C&W to do a secret check to see which customer was assingned that IP.

    Tito~the person logged on at 7:26:17 pm to BU on October 3, 2007. If you are able to get the info email us.

    That may be the time logged at the wordpress server location. Does it qualify that with the timezone the server is in? If so you should state that as well, to find the corresponding time for our time zone.

    Tito~ the time given has been formated to EST, no time zone issues.

    If you check any C&W IP address you will find these 2 names. They are C&W staff.. but if you like, you could chase down the (809) number and it will NOT lead back to Barbados.

    You realise that the BLP has now gone on print in their beresford leopold phillips (blp) column in the nation and advocate newspapers today – saying that you are agents of the DLP?

    Obviously they cannot stand the onslaught of the print editions as well as the blogs, so they have gone on attack mode in the press as well as those threats to kill you.

    Now you know for sure that you are having an impact and that they are verrrry worried.

    I have no doubt that these blogs have people talking, the real news is delivered via these blogs and certainly not via the Nation, CBC,VOB or the Advocate these are too muzzled by the ruling party to function or perform their role of delivering the news to us Bajans.
