On the 11th May 2007 in the Royal Courts of Justice (London), Jonathan Laszlo DANOS, President of 3S (Barbados) SRL, the company currently engaged by the Government of Barbados to widen the ABC Highway and build overpasses was charged with fraud and conspiracy by his former employers, Mabey and Johnson Ltd.

3S (Barbados) SRL, contention was that they had gained valuable experience while constructing Flyovers in Panama. According to Robert Capurro, Director of Sales-Latin America & Caribbean-Mabey and Johnson Ltd., “Mabey & Johnson has supplied a number of steel flyovers to Panama since 1997. As far as we are aware, no other company has supplied or completed such steel flyovers in that country.”

Bearing in mind the Project Manager of 3S (Barbados) SRL, George Siddall, recently announced that the estimated cost of the work undertaken was expected to rise from US$60 million to US$180 million, it is difficult to understand why your publication/station has not carried this story.

    Is Adrian Loveridge really a Bajan?

    As far as we at BFPE are concerned, Adrian Loveridge is a WHITE FOREIGNER who, despite what the documents which ALLOW him to stay in Barbados say, will flee back to his country of birth at the first sign of trouble.

    Adrian Loveridge is in Barbados to make money for HIMSELF.

    The Barbadian media rather needs to investigate any hidden criminal past of this WHITE FOREIGNER called Adrian Loveridge.

    We at BFPE would like to inform Mr. Loveridge that Barbados elects it own political leaders… we (except for BFP and BU) are no longer at the beck and call of anyone with a WHITE SKIN and a FOREIGN PASSPORT.

    Obviously you didn’t make use of the wonderful free education that Barbados offers its citizens.

    Just like Barbadian’s who legally live in other Commonwealth countries (including England)for at least three years, I have the right to vote.

    We pay our taxes and contribute to the overall benefit to the nation. Some might actually say, we do more than our fair share.

    Yes! I am white and I am afraid there is not a lot I can do about that.

    why should Adrian be quiet as Buffoonery (for short) says so much crap? I cannot throw any stones and am fully aware that as a Govt employee I have to choose my topics carefully.

    I envy Adrian as he possesses his own business, so what if there is trouble that he may go somewhere else? Tell me a Bajan who does not have that option aval. regardless of Nationality if they wouldn’t exercise it?

    Ask the abortionist or the nose surgeon who both face manslaughter or murder charges, or even quite a few lawyers with fiscal discrepancies…

    All are Bajan and yet left the land of their birth, better be careful – others who are up for worse may do same, especially if they have more than one passport and never said anything!

    David you should know that this refers to threats that BFPE made posted at Barbados Free Press at the time that shots were fired at the home of DLP Candidate Irene Sandiford-Garner.

    The phrase “4luv en wunnah bakkside!!!” in context of what BFPE posted was and is a threat to shoot.

    Please ask yourself what BFPE is contributing to Barbados Underground. I notice at BFP they have blocked the word “BFPE” from being posted because of the threats of violence to candidates and BFP writters.

    At Barbados Underground, BFPE is free to continue with racist attacks upon Mr. Loveridge.

    It is too bad that you are allowing BFPE to use your website for these racist attacks, and also to boost the readership of the BFPE website.

    Look at the IPs of the comments and you will also find that BFPE uses many names to post comments AS IF his racist positions had the support of many of your readers.

    Please take back control of Barbados Underground.

    I don’t agree that Adrian L has gone into the gutter with this person. I would agree that Adrian L probably didn’t have to respond to this person as it is likely that everyone here is united in their view points on who of the two, merits their time and mental energy. However Adrian L’s response deals with a concern that any politically Independent minded persons have often wondered. How can an educated person be so hoodwinked as to attempt to defend the indefensible. It rightly calls into question this person’s use of the free educational system.

    ….Lynette Eastmond and others of the political class says that Barbadians need to become entrepreneures, and as such Adrian L’s entrepreneurial activities should be celebrated and encouraged, and learned from.     Congrats to Adrian for taking up the fight for us many of us are spineless persons in need of an Adrian to battle the likes of this corrupt gov’t and in particular PM.
    Do not be side tracked by the crap that they are putting out to me it is a sign that they realise that these blogs are hurting them and their response is to get nasty and low, let us not decline to their gutter level of politics.

    Despite of Adrian’s effort and the effort of others to get this story posted, todate still nothing has shown up in the local press.
    I know of someone who has emailed nearly every media house and radio station from Guyana in the south to Jamaica in the north the details of this story and we will wait to see if the story breaks in Jamaica before it breaks in Barbados in the regular press.
    What a place we live in when the press are so scared about the gov’t that they refuse to print facts because it may hurt or affect the ruling party , this is a very sad reflection on our media indeed.

    Folks do not lose heart. Remember that change never occurs easily, that men will stumble upon the truth, only to get and brush themselves off as if nothing had happened. What is occurring with the Barbadian blogs (the efforts of the connected to silence and destablized) also occurred elsewhere to no avail. This too shall pass if we continue to fight for what is right and what is fair. This was never going to be easy, we are exposing people who have never gotten much on merit and face losing all as result of openess and truth. This would be a conflict for most fair and honest men/women, and we know who we are dealing to be highly compromised and challenged by these attributes. I do not favour banning in general, but as their intent is clear and undisputed, this willingness to play dirty should be met with an even more brutal willingness on our part to deny them any measure of success. This calls for overwhelming force, and a stepped up effort on all indepentdent minded contributors to battle. The one thing that they cannot change is the popularity of the site, and the revealing articles that drives this popularity.

    I say banned and continue to banned the ip addresses of the offenders, delete their post and continue to do so. Don’t be afraid and don’t shy away. We will win in the end.

    Almost a week since BU and BFP broke the story about Jonathan Danos and the court battle he is involved with his former employer Mabey & Johnson. The Nation finally found the balls to print the story. We must say that it is a bitter sweet feeling after reading the story.
